How To Give Bitcoin As A Christmas Gift?

use a paper wallet!

1. make a copy of the project of http://bitaddress.org/ from its github repository
2. use a clean and offline computer (eg. a live Linux ran from DVD with your router/modem off, or cable disconnected)
3. generate as many keys as you like
4. either use their simple paper wallet design or use a "Christmas-y design" and print the private key, public key, amount with their QR codes
5. laminate it for a nicer look
6. deposit the amount you want to give away in each address
7. give them away

Take 99 dices, throw them and make a pic, generate Bitcoin Private Key with the dice throw result on bitaddress.org and transfer Bitcoins to that address. Give printed pic as a present without explanation

i dont think its a good idea to give bitcoin on christmas give because it will just be difficult and maybe impossible to do. so why dont you just give cash or  the money we use now rather than a birtcoin which is the save, its up to the person you give how are he/she going to use that money you give.

What do you mean how?, There are so many ways like print a paper wallet or five them a metallic coin and inside of it there is a private code when he/she can redeem the bitcoin or you can get and generate a fancy address with the giftee's name  and you can load up a bitcoin there, that would be good.

Giving Bitcoin as a gift is a nice idea but will be person receiving it know what to do with it?

I suggest just make an wallet account then transfer ur bitcoin to it then write the accnt on paper then give it to whom u want to give.

Here is exactly what I am doing this year.  I bought some satori bitcoins.  These are physical bitcoins that look like poker chips.  They each contain .001 Bitcoin, but whats cool about them is that they are pre-fork, so they contain Bcash and Bgold as well.  So $12-$13 worth of bitcoin and with the numismatic value they sell on ebay for about $50-$60 bucks.  Bitcoin you can hold in your hand.  My only concern is going to be the regret I will feel for gifting them when they are worth $500 a piece.

You can also get Causacious or Lealana coins which are similar and maybe nicer, but probably more expensive in most cases.

It's a troublesome question, but I have a good idea.You can buy an iPhone X first,then install a wallet,and send your bitcoin to the address,then give out iPhone X!What a perfect plan.How do you think so?

It's so cute:) a mindful gift on Christmas! You should take care that the person you give bitcoin to knows what to do with it. You may write him/her a kind of list with some options or guidelines on spending or trading bitcoin.

If you bought $ 500 bitcoin a year ago then now bitcoin has reached $ 10,000. Give your loved one a bitcoin. I think this is the most meaningful gift. Then surely the people who previously hindered you to invest in bitcoin will change their minds.

Gift ? For a child ? Or an adult? That would probably be an issue of holding such an amount.
For a child, it is better to give toys. They will appreciate it more.
For an adult, if you are really that generous to give bitcoin as a gift, then advise him to install his own wallet and give him the bitcoins through transactions.
Or if you will prefer giving it as fiat, exchange it or sell it. I think givingbit personally it very much heart warming.
Like there will be stories, chats and like small reunions.
Moments or time spent with the person is better I guess.

Just send them Bitcoin to their wallet, as simple as that. If the person you to send has no Bitcoin wallet then make one for him/her and teach him/her what is Bitcoin and how to use it.
Perhaps that is the best gift he/she will receive this year.

Generating private keys with your own custom methods of getting seeds for them is generally not a good idea. Random number generating is a huge field of study in cryptography and computer science, and there are pretty good chances that custom random number generators like you've described are not secure. Not so long ago there was an interesting thread on reddit where people tried to deduce how exactly the guy got his coins stolen, and it turns out that there are some people out there who collect, generate and monitor unsecure seeds and instantly sweep any coins that are sent to corresponding private keys. But I'm not a cryptography expert and I can't tell if this 99 dice method is secure or not, so I might be wrong here.

If your loved one isn't Bitcoin enthusiast then you can give them anything and purchase something in internet market and use Bitcoin as your payment so don't have to use your own debit or credit card.
