We are launching a new Bitcoin prediction market. You can use Bitcoins to predict whether an event will occur or not, and win money if you are right. Events can range from economics (price of the Bitcoin at the end of the month) to politics (winner of the US presidential elections in 2016), to entertainment (winners of the Emmy Awards). For those familiar, we are reusing concepts from Intrade, however we improved significantly over Intrade on several areas. This is a real exchange, as opposed to a pari-mutuel system like all other Bitcoin prediction markets / betting websites use. We will release more information about our service as we get closer to launch.

The website is invite-only at the moment. The public launch is scheduled in a few weeks. However, we are giving away invites to the first 100 people who contact us (http://predictious.desk.com/customer/portal/emails/new) or reply to this thread.

The invite request page is broken or missing.

I suggest you just open it up, there is so much going on around here that extra hoops are going to badly limit the attention that you can get and a site like this needs thick orderbooks asap.

You are absolutely right to ask. We are a company started in 2010, this is our first Bitcoin related product, but we have been previously developing several mobile games and Facebook apps/games.

With regard to the .com domain, we are not worried as we are operating legally from Ireland. As a matter of fact, InTrade was also operating (legally) from Ireland.

Still, having to switch domains could be quite disruptive. PokerStars was legal in its jurisdiction as well. Some not so reasonable people seem to have control of .com tld.

The idea youve got for this site is unique.

Thanks. The odds (or rather buy/sell price) displayed vary depending on offer and demand. If you don't like those buy/sell price, you can post an offer with a better price, and the order will be pending until someone is willing to match your price.

The price you give is the price for one share. Each share pays out mBTC 10 if the prediction is correct, so if you buy a share at mBTC 3.5 and your prediction is correct, you make mBTC 6.5 profit per share. But you don't have to wait for the event, if the price moves to say mBTC 6, you can sell your share at this price and make mBTC 2.5 profit per share regardless whether your prediction was correct or not.
