Title: no luck using guiminer Post by: stevenpn on June 30, 2011, 10:14:37 PM Hi, I'm trying to use Guiminer to mine with a pool. When I start it, I get the message that no open CL devices were found. Can I still mine without an open CL device? I tried installing the OpenCL package from Intel, but got a message that my hardware doesn't support the software. Is it necessary to have an open CL device for Guiminer to work? When I click "start mining!" nothing much seems to be happening. Any tips on getting this to work would be great. Thanks!

You may need to download drivers again, (which you said that you did from Intel the 1st time). I believe their is a option to use different miners in guiminer (like CUDA)

get the latest Catalyst drivers (11.6 at the moment) and the ATI Stream SDK 2.4 package. This will give you OpenCL support. |
