Cross-chain interoperability coins are the future...

If you don't know what "Cross-chain interoperability" means, it's basically a fancy way of saying a network that allows information from different blockchains to be sent between each other. For example, providing a network that links Bitcoin and Ethereum together so that certain pieces of information can be passed along.

In my opinion, this is huge.

Especially with the likes of ICON, AION and WAN announcing that they will be working together and forming a team called the interoperability alliance.

If you haven't heard of these then you have probably heard of Ark which currently has a $200 million market cap. With the increasing amount of users coming into crypto, interlinking chains is the best way to provide users with a vast array of use cases while minimising the work needed to produce one amazing blockchain that can do everything for any given team. Interoperability to blockchains will be what the internet was to computers.

In 2018, one of these coins will be in the top 5 cryptocurrencies. You have my word. It's too early to say which one, but one of these will.

Personally I put $30k into Ark. I will be looking to put similar amounts into ICON, AION and WAN as well. I am just waiting for their main nets to launch.

Interesting I will be looking into all three when I return from my Indian adventure, that's if I don't get the plague and die along my travels of course. You could well be right about cross chain compatibility, it would allow for a hell of a lot more flexibility regarding application of crypto.

Interesting information. But if you say just the top five mean its really hard work.
But nothing impossible in crypto world. Next year still enough time to grow for that altcoin.

I sure hope Ark can deliver their product next year, it'll be very useful for the entire cryptospace. As for the others, i've personally never heard of them, but i'll check it out when i have some free time :)

Interoperability is another booming idea brewing in crypto space. It's use can not be ignore at all since we have many giant cryptocurrency with huge user. At some point these platform 've got to work together seamlessly.

I totally agree with AION. This is really a nice project and aiming more higher levels.
I have few thousand of AION and happy to be a bag holder of AION.
and for the others as you mention i will research them and will jump in.

I would like to see some proof of yours doing an investment of 30k int Ark, if you did I may follow you in this path.
Altought I don't have 30K , I'm willing to invest at least a grand, what do you think ? Show here some proof and be my guest.

Newbie posting predictions...seems legit.

As I believe, there are several niches that are a good soil for new projects on blockchain to skyrocket. And there is on perfect project in each at least.

I only tell those which are good in my opinion:

Interoperability - ARK
Investing platform - Blackmoon Crypto
Gaming - Enjin
Payments - Request Network
Scalability - Raiden
Making bitcoin feeling miserable - Ethereum

My God, $30K into Ark? Altcoins should definitely rise next year so I think a lot of people are on the same page as far as the amazing bitcoin run has been. Bitcoin has done amazingly well but really it's time for the altcoins to shine.Lets move now.

Thanks for this sensitization, I will be looking out for your afore-mention  altcoin you hinted us about, The interoperability idea sound interesting. It might hold some value in future as you have said!

ARK has very clear roadmap so i think that it will have mass increase in 2018 :D

I think many altcoins will skyrocket in 2018 since they are very cheap compared to their competition.  Top altcoins like Ethereum, Litecoin and Dash have risen quite a lot already.  I can't see why Waves, Stratis and similar projects can't be around 1/10 the price or higher of the top altcoins I have mentioned. 

This is a good idea to cooperate together when the community formed the Alliance is beneficial to the projects . Great idea

and what about Ethereum Classic? in ethereum goes up, doesn't it mean that ETC will follow the same pattern?

what do you think about new coins like eBTC and ETH BLUE, these coins are rising but their future is not clear.

There are many new ideas coming in to market. Let see how they are going to compete with existing blockchain solutions.

I strongly believe that Litecoin will rise to the top. LTC has one of the largest market cap in the business.

I read a lot about altcoins and see "ARK" in many comments. I think lots of people waiting for ARK to rise. And the second one that i see a lot is ICON, many people invested this one i guess.  

Never heard even one coin that you mentioned in the thread. I don't see any reason these coins will sky rocket, beware of these coins investment  :-X

The following altcoins i believe will skyrocket in 2018, or atleast i hope so because they stand out to be the most effective and profitable altcoins in the crypto market.
Ripple, Has shown also that it has potential and great capability to be a great altcoin. It's coin value is currently steady at $0.25, but if this coin spikes like it did in early November 2017, the profits are great. Ripple is centralized and used mostly by banks around the world for it's technology.
Ethereum, Has proven time and time again that it has consistency and stability. It's show great potential in the market, it's reached an all time high of $500 and is a coin to be invested in long term if you are to see good profit.
Stellar, Is a coin that some people underrate due to it's value, currently at $0.73. What some people might not know is that it was $0.2 just a few days ago. It's a coin similar to Ripple and has the same kind of potential. If you are looking to invest, look at this one for sure.

If it turns that you are right and these altcoins will rise to the Moon, I will be only glad. I also keep ARK coins — each one costs approximately three dollars now. I am waiting for the double price of these alts.

Looking at the graph of the biggest gainers and checking their ups and downs I mentioned that almost all small and less unknown altcoins really run ahead fast. https://coinmarketcap.com/gainers-losers/

I believe that IOTA and EOS will be among leaders very soon.

All the violas will grow, as the market capitalization of the crypto world will grow. I think all the top 50 will rise well in 2018, as well as those projects that will show a real product that you can use!

Everyone is having their own personal choices in the crypto world and I think that is what makes it more or less decentralised currency or (well asset really).

For me somehow the IOTA is not working at all because I think its being pumped artificial these days and there is no way it can reach that 1,5 USD rates per IOTA all from few cents. That sucks really man. It will suck even more when it will be dumped by those artificial pumpers. Anyway, my investment is driving towards the only one coin and thats really sleeping at this point, called as SCL, the social coin. The devs are really working hard on this coin and they will surely pump it hard when it will be used as utility coin in the month of January. Plus the good news is the ETH is already pumped a lot and thus resulted in the increase market value for that particular project. This way I'm doing the math really and hoping that this coin will have huge investors and it is already on the verge of getting developed into higher upgrades. So hopefully SCL is the best one.

I think this will be great if that happens with the particular coins you have mentioned.

There is potential for altcoins to increase the value in the coming years as we can learn from the previous history of altcoins like ethereum, monero, ripple, litecoin and so on shows that the value of all these altcoins has increased. The value of altcoins will increase steadily and it cannot be compared to the first crypto currency or the king in the crypto market called the bitcoins as I don't think that altcoins will never beat bitcoins as bitcoins are the very first crypto currency in the crypto market and all other altcoins are just a updated versions of bitcoins.

i will possibly check on this coins when i return from my slumber,they will be pretty nice than. Some persons will only discuss them but will not invest in them and when it shot skyrocket they will say had i know.

Value of ethereum, ripple will skyrocket!

This year will be very interesting for the crypto industry. I think it will be very profitable. The gigots come to the cryptornics and now, I think it will grow at a very fast rate, but then it will become more stable. IOTA, XRP, NEO  ;)

Along, bitcoin became very expensive the current situation,
Altcoin is the best crypto to choose for invest.
However, i choose this : Nexus, VeChain, MonaCoin, Veritaseum and Monaco for year`18.

you topic and you speculations seem to be interesting we made add that are many yet alt too come until this very moment who know maybe will have a hit like electroneum.

maybe it can happen if they form a team to make their coins become very expensive. I'll wait until their coins actually go up in 2018. and maybe for now I'll buy some AIOn for my hold and keep it

Include Edgeless, SONM, Golem which have already started to rise and are going to easily go 5x by the mid of 2018.SONM have their MVP coming up on Christmas and product launch by Aug 2018.

Oh yeah ... I agree totally ... Jumped by approximately 1000% in a months ... participated to ICO, following from the beginning. I think they have great potential for 2018.

Some of you talked about IOTA, this project is going to get bigger for sur on 2018.

Actually last 2-3 month about 26 altcoins just rised more than 10x. Now so much coins is rising!
I think not only this your top 5 coins will rise. If everything will continue than almost all medium altcoins will go to the moon!

I agree with a lot that have been suggested. I feel that most altcoins that have good projects and get them up and running in 2018 will see huge rises.

The ones that I like that aren't in ICO phase are ETH, NEM, DIMcoin, Verge, DFScoin, Expanse and Oyster Pearl.

Should be a great year for cryptocurrency as it comes more main stream with more media coverage.

Keep your eye out for WABI and SUB in 2018, and also the bigger OMG (OmiseGo), XMR (Monero) and XLM (Stellar Lumen).

i would still believe in IOTA even thought there was false rumour that make it rise significantly that happen before. IOTA will rise to 7$ in the end of the year. and it will become bigger in the next few month. i believe in it and it will sky rocket. another coin that good to be considered is datum, they have a great idea to make data as an asset that profitable and marketable. i think they have a good idea and the value of datum is growing quiete good.

I don’t think so because I have heard for the first time about HTML coin. It means that still this coin does not make its position in the market and there is no one who wants to invest in this coin, because everyone wants big profit and the currency you mentioned is anonymous and I don’t think that people will take interest in HTML coin. May in the later years it get its position but in 2018 it is difficult.

XSPEC. Because 2018 will be the year of privacy coins and this is the most advanced one. Also under radar for most of the people so huge opportunity.

it will huge but is it will be usefull?. many coins are offering great advantages and if true it success and usefull for our live i believe it will success.  i would believe iota will change our transaction and will be on the top in the next years. iota even been considered by japan goverment to be used it their country

My 20X pitch $DNA 
My thought for this token is that it will emulate Populous ($PPT ) and hit the $20 -$30 USD range.
Also, $DNA was listed only on Cryptopia and is now going to be listed on OKEx, announced as of 1/8/2018 on OKEx twitter feed. Yes I own.
I also think $XSPEC will go too in 2018 but not until they get some technical issues sorted out. Hopefully soon.

$LEND I think will go MUCH higher though I do not own any at the moment, but I will on my next trade.

$NEBL made rather big move today but I also think this has much more room to run, I do own some already.
