Title: Armory Wallet and Bitcoin Core Question/Issue
Post by: Drokk on December 01, 2017, 01:37:51 AM
I recently tried to install and run the Armory Wallet on my pc but  have ran into an issue I cant seem to resolve. I believe i got the actual Armory software setup but I am having a very hard time completing the Bitcoin Core install. I tried to install it once and was going well but kept crashing at 25.58% of completion. Today I decided to rename the folder then do another install into a new location. It seemed to get much farther but again it locked up and I cant seem to complete the install.

I have bowsed through the debug logs seems i get this each time i try to rerun

2017-12-01 01:06:13 init message: Rewinding blocks...
2017-12-01 01:06:15 Corruption: block checksum mismatch

The major thing im worried about is that I though I had it running properly when I did not know about the Bitcoin Core being needed. I had transferred some coins to this wallet but since I cant get it to fully install I am unable to retrieve them.

Im unaware if I could just move this wallet to something else in order to retrieve the coins while i get this corrected.

You could extract the private keys and import them in a wallet that doesn't require you to download the entire blockchain.

I believe you are correct. I am downloading Electrum to give that a shot.
