What is the next big cryptocurrency? Is there any option that has the ability to give returns as much like Bitcoin ?

Looks like DASH is going to be the one to give better benefit next year. I suggest you buy DASH.

I think ethereum have capability to growth and to soar high like bitcoin in the next first quarter of the year 2018 it will be $500 USD.

If anyone knew that answer they would be rich. It's a crapshoot with altcoins. You never know if you'll gain huge gains or lose it all. Don't bother following advice here because it'll be terrible.

It is difficult to know the future, maybe a new coin will come out and become the next big cryptocurrency instead of the existing currencies.

in my opinion there will be no one who can provide much profit like bitcoin.
the other coin will go up in 2018 but they will not be able to match the bitcoin.

i thinks the next big crypto currency on the market is the etheruem, these altcoin have a good capability to fast growth. after few months or years etheruem will be profitable like bitcoin have nowadays.

I think Ethereum sooner or later will be on the first place. ETH developing progress is very high and fast.

In my opinion Ethereum, because have the most promising future among altcoins nowadays. It is even the second used crypto currency after Bitcoin actually, its price keep increasing fastly and its developping with time. Also most ICO's projects use its platform mostly, and this will help really to advertise it even more.

I believe ethereum is the next big cryptocurrency. Now the price of ethereum is $436. In  2018 it will be increase $700. If we hold it in future we will get more profit. For that reason ethereum is the next big crtptocurrency.

ETH will be the next big crypto currency after the bitcoin and it will be the best alternative for bitcoin investments.Many people who cannot afford to buy bitcoins because the bitcoin price is getting too much expensive so that people can make their investment on ethereum.In recent period the ehtereum price increased slightly I hope it will continue to rise in the coming years too because many ICO are based on ethereum so it will make huge demand for ETH in the coming years so it is better to but ETH when it is available for cheaper price.

I think Electroneum can be a coin that will gain a lot next year. It's a high risk but on the other hand it could go viral and really gain traction with people never heard of crypto before. We haven't seen a coin that have such a marketing team with great track record and fundings behind it before.

that means about there will be another similar coin in the future, power ledger gives over 1k% to the investors just in a month.

There are many promisable crypto currency available for long term investment like Ethereum,XMR,Zcash and LTC.
I hope monero might be the best alternative for bitcoin investment because the price of monero increased huge in short period of time.So we can expect this coin to become expensive in the future.So if you can't afford to buy bitcoin the buy anyone of the coins I told above but I hope the profits will be on long term investment.

Maybe the other coin will go up in next year. That's why you to hold some coin for next year. But I think next year nothing can match the bitcoin yet

I see a lot of answers is Ethereum because of the growth that happened recently. But now it is back at $430 dollars and who knows it may pump again to $500. That is 70 dollars of profit in just a week. Not bad for an altcoin.
But I tell you this also, ETH got a lot of room for a wave up. Why?
Look at the new blooming cryptos now, it is all under ERC20.

My bet lands on etheruem. My reason is that etheruem is used these days just like bitcoin. Icos adopts it as a means of buying there coin and this is one way that a coin grows.

Also, investors are beginning to see it as an option to bitcoin.

Everyone is talking about Ethereum here. Its on the most used and popular and even at the number 2 spot of the coinmarketcap. I cant ever think of other coin besides LTC and monero. These coins are next big to mine eyes. And you had enough answers for what is going to be the next big coin.

I hope it is IOTA. I put some money in it, hope it will rise at least twice. But I first bought then think, transfers with them are really slow and somehow scary. Especially when you CPU fan is spinning like crazy for like 15 min and you hope to see coins appear in wallet. But with more chaps involved it will speed up whole process, unlike with blockchain. Hope to see it spreading when IoT will become more and more common.

Based on previous experiences and based on some articles, the cryptocurrencies are "bleeding out" and they are all taking a dip in the market charts. It's as if Bitcoin and Altcoins are resetting until they start pumping again.

Everyone involved in crypto knows that Bitcoin is the strongest coin of all and sooner or later it will start to recover, but Ethereum looked promising, especially in the last couple weeks, but Etheruem might not be the star currency after all this dipping stops. In fact it might be Litecoin. Why Litecoin you might ask.

Litecoin was created by Charlie Lee in 2011 and uses similar protocols as Bitcoin. According to the analysis, Bitcoin and Ethereum are really after completely different marketplaces. Bitcoin is really designed as a currency and store of value protocol built on consensus, while Ethereum is more of a functional platform that also provides a cryptocurrency for internal transactions.

Having said this, Litecoin has been sitting in the backseat for years but this might be the right time for Litecoin to shine.

You can never predict cyrpto currencies. The next big coin might be any of the existing currencies or a new coin developed.In my opinion it could either be ethereum or ripple.

My opinion is definitely Ethereum. It is really a platform where you are creating the future world cryptocurrency.

It is really hard to predict such a thing. But you can monitorize the big project of the coins , like Waves , TokenPay (ICO ) and so on. I'm sure TokenPay ICO will shake the crypto world.

is there so much sense when we got a lot of altcoins? this is same as we get all real currency in 1 wallet and use every one every week? why don't we get 3-4 cryptoccurency and no more?

I see big potential at Ethereum, Eth can be more closer to Btc than now. But also Bitcoin Cash and Dash have big potential to follow very close Btc.

My money is also on ETH. So many upgrades to the blockchain technology and it just works! You can send lightning fast and for a small fee. Compare that to Bitcoin..

It is not clear to me why people point to ethereum as the next great cryptocurrency, because I think ethereum for a couple of years it is already a reality and for that reason it deserves the second place that it already occupies among the cryptos with greater capitalization and popularity.

In fact for me it would really deserve to be the number one coin, but in no way it will be possible to displace bitcoin from its hegemonic place due to the great advantage it has acquired due to its pioneer status.

Perhaps the next big coin may arise from the Hashgraph protocol, which is very much anticipated but not yet crystallized into a usable currency.

Ethereum would be the next big cryptocurrency. In fact it already is. Large companies have announced that they will work with Ethereum, because of the possibilities it offers. Now we don't see this in the price yet, there's no spectacular all time high like Bitcoin. Instead we see it going up and down, day after day. But eventually we'll see the price go up in a few months from now.

To see any Crytocurrency that will give return like Bitcoin will be difficult, I hope we all know that BTC value starts from zero and now it is $10k, but I believe these projects have huge chance of being a big hit, Kyber, ENigma, Request network and Quanstamp

At this moment it is very impossible to any coins to become the next big digital currency because of the very huge gap between their values against bitcoin right now that even you combine them all it will not reach the $10,000 mark easily but maybe if you mean is secondary to bitcoin it will be the ethereum because it is the most used platform by most ICO to support their token program of their project.

I love Ethereum and I believe, it is the best altcoin. I'm going to buy lots of ETH till the spring. I'm sure, that it'll be the good profit to the end of 2018.

i think ether is the only coin that may be on the path of bitcoin due to his different technology, because other coins as DOGE, LTC which are clons haven't have as much as bitcoin does.

I would possibly say dash, dash is investing worthy and has the potential of following bitcoin footsteps overtime. I have been staring at the market it seems like its doing quite great for itself, reaching new highs of $800 and its promising that it will even go further.

Ahead of entire altcoins show downtrend dash continued to stay high with a good market. In between, the price went low and made the recovery in a much faster phase. Dash serves to be the next big currency and following this bitcoin cash too is gaining good market compared to other altcoins that are in the market long back itself.

I have a lot of hope for OmiseGO once they release their own wallet and blockchain. The company already has many partnerships in place, ready to roll out with their product once it's released to the public. 2018 will be very important for the coin in my opinion.

Agree ethereum is the next big crypto currency that runs into the digital world. However it's a long period of time before it will happen, because for now price of bitcoin in the market was runs into $400-$500 but I guess if they can find a good investors they have a possibility that ethereum hit even half price of bitcoin in the market.

Neufund will be one of the big currencies out there. Interesting idea and a trusted team! Another great coins is Modum, they are also doing some nice stuff. I participated in the Modum ICO and in the Neufund ICBM.

My heart belongs to ethereum since it has the most stable and consistent trend and very much like bitcoin's so I can trust that ethereum will be the next or be close to bitcoin.

Bitcoin started this, then Litecoin came, then Ethereum. I don't know which coin will come later.
People mention a lot of coins here but I think the next one is not even launched yet.

I dont think if as much as Bitcoin. No I dont think any could give those returns. But I am eyeing on Cardanos ADA at the moment and also at DASH. Maybe Im completely wrong, but I have a really good feeling with those two.

I would bet on Amor (amorcoin.org)? Their concept of decentralising the dating industry sounds very solid and they have a good chance of mooning. I guess they have a limited 20% bonus discount which might end soon.

Talking about the great crypto of the coming year, I would name three coins — Ethereum, DASH and Litecoin. ETH will be supported by more and more guys, especially those, who make their ICOs, and Litecoin will grow as the currency which is very fast and comfortable in transactions. DASH might rise up to a thousand.

I think waves can get in top 10. they raising fast and it keeps going raising. In my opinion it will raise until 100 dolars. It has strength basement. It will reach 100 dolars short time. we will see together :D

I put my bet on ETH. Because after bitcoin, ETH is the currency that most people talk about. So well-known and widely used in ICO. Although there is DASH, LTC and WAVES but I doubt since their development is relatively slow.

I believe Dash is the next big crypto-currency at most.  Next on the line is Ethereum. Dash Coin is already accepted as a payment method in specific country like Australia for booking flight, hotels, etc. Dash is also has a versatile asset ability which can be used as an exchange token is specific platform. Which I am pointing on shapeshift. Dash is also giving such bounty money for promotionals, article, social medias, etc. Which can really cause a pump for the coin.

I think populous has the possibility to be the next big cryptocurrency, but I don't know if it will be popular and better or like bitcoin.

I guess it will be ethereum, look at how large it became and how much coin is being created under ERC20. All of that coin will need to undergo exchange through Ethereum first before it can be traded to another coin. So I am also going to see Ethereum to be a big name this 2018.

I was thinking the same thing. If there's an altcoin that I'd give my trust into in the next coming years that would be Ethereum. If you are a long term holder of any altcoin, having an ETH on your portfolio is really a must.

I can't choose bitcoin cash since there it almost the same with bitcoin the difference is only 8mb blocks plus many communities condemn the creators since they tried to attack bitcoin with their segwit2x so, technically i will choose second largest cryptocurrency in coinmarketcap which is ethereum look how large the ethereum community now has and also it is gaining popularity to companies since they can create coin through ERC20.

The same ethereum for me as the next big cryptocurrency. It is the most use platform and the most use these days is ethereum. When you invest today still you can gain from ethereum.

I would wait for EOS next year after the token sale finishes. It might be huge what we will see from EOS and it can disrupt the whole space. I am excited for it and definitely want to have my share. Unfortunately I still dont have bought, but I will sooner or later in that crowdsale!

I agree if you look at long term investment, market cap, etc.
But short term there are definately some alt coins to consider where you can make great profits with which you can build up yout bitcoin holdings.

The second one would be Ethereum although in price i think that bitcoin cash should be the second one as of it is the second most expensive crypto currency in the world after bitcoin.

Instead of currently the biggest existing coins i would pick a solaris(XLR), because of its XEAVAN algo, devs, community etc.
Currently masternodes, Zero coin protocol and POS soon(now only POW). So a lot of possibilities. Price should should grow soon very much. So stay tuned.

I would like to think that Bitcoire at some point gets the attention it deserves, since it is a much i mproved version of Bitcoin.

you can find the next cryptocurrency in the coinmarketcap , there those coins that have the biggest potential to be the next cryptocuurency like bitcoin , . The bitcoincash , that they said will be the successor of bitcoin in the future , the dash which is also most people in the crypto world says the next big cryptocurrency to be. And the etherium which has also a big potential to next years cryptocurrency and most people also says the next bitcoin in the future.

I really don't think that there is coins that will be the next bitcoin even ethereum could never be equal in bitcoin as we follow and recall their market history. Though BCH trying to compete with bitcoin but sadly they never survive in the long run and just left on the track.

In my opinion there are many cryptocurrency that has big potential, one of that is Ethereum, Dash,Litecoin,Waves. And if you would like to looking for other next big new cryptocurrency that just entered the market, I think POWR is has good chooice. POWR has strong in fundamental, their product is work already in some country like New Zealand, Australia and India. This project also consist of many team who professional in the field, and other more thing is POWR project supported by Australia Goverment.

I think the next big cryptocurrencies will be the juniors of Bitcoin,it's Bitcoin Cash, Bitcoin Gold and Bitcoin Diamond.

The cryptocurrency what will solve the current stumbling blocks the existing blockchain experiences will be the next big one.
Zilliqa will be big if it can deliver 3,500+ transactions per second. That will bring us closer to 10,000 tx per second that Visa and Mastercard can process.

Everybody is talking about it. Of course, it's cryptokittens! It's so popular, people pay thousands for virtual cats and the trading and breeding drags down the whole Ethereum network. Obviously the biggest thing right now. ;)

IMO I'm more into long term hodl's (like bitcoin). I see a lot of potential in polymath ico. you will never know what will be the next cryptocurrency is. If people knows that then we will all be millionares here. In cryptography you will have a chance to make it big and loose it big. That is just the nature of it. Don't believe on other saying that they know what will be the next big crytocurrnecy, because I repeat, no one knows!!

It depends on the coins youare holding for me i'm holding waves,eth,ark and especially Iota which is,love the tangled network. I believe that this coin,will reach $100 next year. So be ready to jum in and look for this coin.
