Fair can have two meanings, one being justice and the other equal. An equal society is exactly what is sounds like when everyone is equal in everything from rights to money to clothes. A just society is one where everyone gets what they deserve. If you work hard you get money. If you have good habits you will be healthy.

To me an equal society kinds of sounds like socialism but I think that I would prefer to live in a society where everyone is equal. I think however that we live in a more just society than a fair one. So many people are not equal but just as many do not get what they deserve.

What do you think? Do we live in a fair society? Is it more just, equal or something else entirely?

To me fair society, is the society that have regards for justice and equality for all her citizenry, society that respect human dignity, and measure equal justice to all, not others way round.  fair society is society  that is free from all form of corruption.

a fair society is a society who does not look own to others. It is having an fair and equal treatment whether you are poor or wealthy. Black or white. Famous or not. Known or camouflage. Equality over identity. that is a fair society for me.

I think it is more likely for a fait society to have justice rather than equality. WITh justice it only means that everything is accounted for. What can be advantageous to some might not apply to others but with justice everything is done to have the same treatment so everyone enjoys it

I think a fair society is a society where rights and opportunities are equal for anyone and everyone. It's not only available to those who are in the upper tiers of society. In our world today, only the people who are already in the higher ups are receiving an abundance of opportunities while people on the lower classes do not. I know some may lack education, but if only they can be given a chance to succeed and prosper in life, that would improve their lives ways better.

I believe that we live in an unequal society because, racism occurs, discrimination of social status occurs. Our society doesn't have equality. Our society can't also bd called "fair" because corruption exists in our world, people that corrupts countries make it unfair for the people, when the rich are enjoying laundering our hard earned money and we work ourselves off just to maintain a stable life, it is unfair. Our society is falling apart because of corrupted leaders doing what they want and not listening to the opinions of the people of the country.

for me fair society is means equal in right and justice whether you are rich or poor, citizen can avail of equal opportunity in work, young and old as long as you still capable of working,  and no discrimination as well as no special treatment and excuses as far as law is concern.

Why is there $32 Trillion being hidden and held on offshore accounts? What does that money do, why do they need it? They don't they just want it.

I think it is fair if you look on what's going on the society. There's equal in justice, equal in acquiring goods and freedom. But don't you think there is something else hidden agenda in the society? There is. But the masses have a little chance to reaching it. If there's a crime police would take care, imprisoned when proven. To some are excused due to connections. There's never a fair society. People always want to have more than others. There are fair people who treat others without any thoughts of self interest but there are far more that will do anything to take advantage of others.

We already have a just society if that's what it means to be fair. We earn money as we work. Also, we can stay healthy if we do good habits. But there is a fact, there are certain things we cannot avoid such as fate. I mean, no matter how hard you try to work, there are still these things that may hinder to build your future such as accidents that might cost you a huge amount of money.

But about that living in our society, the treatment you mean, perhaps. It's obvious that the people were not treated fair and square. Money rules over rules. It can nullify the law. Therefore, the poor people, though some fight for them, it's quite plain to see that they are inferior compared to the rich.

There's no equal society. People are so different that it's impossible to bring them all to the same level.
If you believe it's possible, you're a dreamer. Can you make an idiot smart? No! So to bring people into equal status you'd have to make the smart ones dumber or at least make them act like it. For me there is no fair society. Everyone has their own capability and its all about maximizing our potentials. Having a fair society is unfair for those who were spending a lot of time doing things to perfect their craft. Some are just lucky to be born in a rich family and some are just less fortunate to be born in a poor family. Even the world itself is not fair so how can we expect to have a fair society. Children wouldn't be born in Sudan and then starve to death if the world was indeed very fair. Even though that's the case the USA or China has the ability to end Hunger globally but they don't simply care because its not their people who are starving.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts on this, in my opinion, fairness and equality is synonymous. We are living a fair life-- every body gets the pay for the work rendered. But there are times society is not fair at all. Simply because some takes advantage of other peoples weakness and social status. Government funds are not distributed based on the need of a state. Wealthy states are given much fund, whereas poor states get low allocations. Not fair.

A fair society is being a good example as an individual to influence other, then influence became a thing, as well as being a fair society.

Altogether society is not fair and there are countless examples of this throughout society. However in 2017 we do live in the fairest of times especially if you look backwards. Life is unfair so your question does not make sense. Even if have justice system, it always favor the rich and not the poor.

Obviously, society is not fair. If society is fair, there will be a lot of cold wars inside a country. There will be no poor and there will be no rich people, they do not know that word because all of the people are the same. There will be no maids, there will be no drivers, there will be no workers since they have a comfortable life like the others and they do not want to work anymore because they will be looked down by the others.

For me, a fair society is consists of equality in every aspect of life. Fair and justice in every corner of the society regardless of age, financial state and so on. Fair education and jib for everyone. Fair treatment and hospitalization. Everything must be equal for everyone.

Beside the things you said, I would add security and stability. Every government should protect their people from roberies, womens from rapes. There is no government in world today that can protect people from those things. We have example of North Korea. They don't know what is robery, fight on the street, rapes and such things. But they are poor. We still have to build perfect society, it is on us, but I think we won't get it. Maybe next generations.

Today, I don't believe that things are fair to everyone, the rich gets more while the poor became poorer. Sometimes, it becomes a hopeless case.

Fairness is both simple and complex in defination. Sure we can share a cake into equal sized pieces or we could cut it into different sizes depending on people body size etc. Both can be deem fair and unfair at the same time.

In my point of view in regards of being fair is being just. You get what you deserve because it is unfair in some ways if all is equal. For example, in a company you have different job title is it okay if you are an admin and then you get same salary rate of a trainee.

This a very good topic indeed, and I have a few ideas to promote fairness in society. First is there should be limit on everyone else’s money. There shouldn’t be poor and rich in this world. Second, in order for my first idea to succeed, every necessities should have the same value because it balances the demands. Lastly, the range of salary and earnings from businesses should be near.

A fair society is a just and equalism full society with respect to girls and women and total discipline

A fair society is a just society. It does not weight who you are and where you from, but in what you do. It seeks for the truth and find the reason in it. It goes with the right and use it to uplift people. It does not humiliate nor degrading. A fair society do not discriminate differences. It both celebrates and accepts commonalities and differences. It embrace people. It helps people. It serves as an home for a harmonious living. It builds dreams, strengthens hope, and maintains both. It does not break anything, it creates something. It brings out the best of ability from its people. And most importantly, it spreads love. No hatred, just love.

the community who appreciate each other mutually and not mutually chided and envy could be in a society that there is one person who can be said to be superior in terms of finance.

The society can be fair only if there are people who are educated. 

What we understand as a society is that the names of a few families live together in the name of society. And to run the society fairly, the people of the society, some of the respected persons have set their head / head. They are given the responsibility of running the society fairly.They are given responsibilities to manage society fairly. Such fights and wrongs, irregularities, chaos, give proper solutions. If there is misfortune, then everyone in the society should help each other to help them, and to make justice to everyone

Sometimes its fair but most of the times its not.

Fair society is an absurd topic now a days. There is not even fairness in own family and so society is far off

A fair society has to have equal rights. Peoples status and money don't have to matter. Our world is full of injustice and cruelty.  So unfortunately nowadays we can't call it a fair society.
But it is all in our hands to change that :)

A fair society is a society where there is love and respect for everyone.

Social justice is a condition in which all persons in a particular society or group have a status, legal status that is similar in certain respects, often including rights civil liberties, freedom of speech, ownership and equal access to goods and services.

My idea in this question is the equality of all people even if he or she is bisexual , the right of everyone and the right to live in this world.

A few things to think about:

    Freedom, by which I mean true freedom, to do anything your heart desires so long as you are not infringing on another's rights.
    Rights, and who's job it is to protect them when you are incapable of protecting them yourself.
    Justice, and who's job it would be to exact it.
    Government, and if they are even necessary in your model, what role they would have.
    National and international affairs, and who would maintain them.
    Taxes, and if they would be necessary, what they would be used to pay for.
    Roads, and who will build them.

A fair society is a society that are free from corruption, racism or discrimination. A society that are not looking on your economic status if you are rich or poor, on physical appearance if you are disabled or not , and on your gender if you are a boy , gay, girl or what. A society that has a equal right, justice and opportunity for everyone.

This is when the power of one God.

Where everyone is treated equally and properly.

This might sound harsh, but a fair society is one in which everyone plays a role instead of waiting for or blaming the government all the time. It is one  in which everyone is equally alive to their responsibilities.

The people are living freely and enjoying all their rights is a fair society.

It is important for a society to be non-discriminative and supportive.

A fair society is the one which does not encourage inequality in social stratification.
This ideal society considers its members as equal and would not distribute its resources
unequally or one -sided to favour a few persons to the detriment of the generality of
its citizens.It is a society where all its paraphernalia, executive, legislature and judiciary
does not show preferential treatment or partiality.

Once  upon a time when i was a student then i read in my class textbook about A fair society. there it described like that A fair society can be created through policies aimed at promoting full employment, ensuring a living wage, strengthening welfare services, reforming the private sector, and developing a more equitable tax system. I think that Fair society totally combined with globalization, economic inequalities, and psychosocial factors affect health and health inequalities in developed and developing countries.

Being represented by the law is a dignity which is dangerously isolated from many people at the lower socio-economic spectrum of society, and this causes great problems. For me what makes a fair society is a careful balance and ecology of freedom, opportunity, and access to and representation by common law. Education and knowledge are vehicles to the promotion of a fair society along with other institutions which should be reflective of the needs, not just of human beings, but that of the wider biosphere.

A fair society looks after those without agency and voice – such as the bee population which is being destroyed by the use of chemical pesticides of multinational companies. A fair society understands that it is the Gestalt effect which comes of the collection of diversity that yields the greatest fruits (and futures) for all concerned, and so preserves the institutions that enable participation in that society by each constituent.

We don't libe in a fair society. Mainly because one person is ultimately different from another. No two person is the same even if they're identical twins. As such we have different behaviors, different likes and or dislikes. We also have different talents and different weaknesses. Say one person is great atath even without studying, does it mean it's fair because you can't do the same? Yes! Some will have a better chances than us. So it's up to us to play yhe card we've been dealt with

1 The soberany should be by who the individuals choose to relate. The Govenrment dont have to mingle in this.

2 There must be a way to stop government. Not by guns but, for example, voting if the Federal Government shoul cease to exist.

3 The ones who want to declare independency should be allow to reaunite and buy land.

4 The principle of no agression should be the foundation of any laws. Becouse, the way it is done today, laws are, in last stance, guns pointing at your face.

5 Individual freedoom as its most.
