Title: Malwarebyte suddenly trips on Electrum
Post by: 928Quest on December 01, 2017, 04:03:43 AM
I was using Electrum 2.9.1 as a read only wallet.  When I opened it a couple of days ago I go the following two Malware bytes messages

https://www.chuck-adams.com/pictures/Screen2.png

This happens randomly on open, sometime not at all, sometimes yes, and one or the other flagged site, or both.

It worked fine for the first few months.

I upgraded to the latest version 3.0 and did the signature check, all was ok.  But it trips Malwarebytes the same way.

Any ideas?

according to your screenshots, your malwarebyte is blocking an "outbound traffic" while connecting to an IP address. and both of these are Electrum Servers. and neither have any issue to be blocked. it is a strange thing that your Malwarebyte is doing, possibly they have flagged it for some other reason!

you can safely ignore this and let Electrum connect to some other server or manually change server or add their IP to white-list.
