Title: Error with GUIMiner
Post by: NightHawk45 on July 03, 2013, 08:23:45 PM
My laptop is an HP, i5 CPU M450 @ 2.40Ghz with 4GB of RAM using windows 7.

I get this error when I run GUIMINER on my laptop:

Listener for "Default": api2.bitcoin.cz:8332 03/07/2013 15:20:08, Verification failed, check hardware!

How do I fix it?  thanks!

I would not try mining with a laptop. You will get very low hash rate <30MH and could burn out your video card. Also if your laptop's video card does not use open CL this will be another problem.

Not if you have a highend laptop.

The laptop that I want to use is my old gaming laptop.  I built a computer this past April and use it for all of my needs.  It runs at 50 Mhash/s which isn't much compared to my computer, but I would like to get it up and running if not to get a better understanding of how things work.  I am not too worried about burning out the graphics card.

On that note, does anyone have any advice?

Try to make sure your account details for the mining pool are correct and if you are using an AMD GFx card try to update your drivers to the 13.6 beta.
