If you aren't quite knowledgeable in bitcoin or cryptocurrency trading, I definitely suggest that you start with a very small amount. With your $500 a week income, I suggest that you start playing around with like $30-$50. Just so it wouldn't hurt you that much financially if you lose most of your trades. Also take note that not because you made profit on your first day, that you will gain profit on the following days. Sometimes you win sometimes you lose.

$500 is not a small amount and it is not a huge amount to trade either, but the fact is, it all depends on your own trading skills and knowledge. If you have no idea about trading, you do not even have a single strategy to trade safely or you have not so far hit the books to learn about trading, please, just use that fund to buy some bitcoin and leave in your wallet until you are sure you are good enough to start.

Secondly, if you have learned some few things about trading, and you are sure of yourself to go ahead, I will advise you start with small and see how far you go with that first. ($50 - $100 for a test of your trading skills is not bad). Do not rush, take your time, practice some of the things you have learned, and gather some experience from some of your mistakes. After a while, grade yourself and see if you are good enough to start with the $500.
The more you trade, the more you can make use of, to maximize your positions, but you have to realize that trading is not easy, so you have to be sure first or you will lose so much. If you end up to be a good trader, you can increase that $500 before you even know it.

Damn, 500$ a week is quite a money.
This will depend kn what is your responsibilities in your current life. If you have a family to sustain then dont go full in. If you are single, then learn about the blockchain first and study about cryptocurrencies, later youll be putting all your money in BTC if you understand. Time is still running and later there will be global adoption.
Thats one of the headlines, if you dont invest now, you maybe too late. Im not forcing you to invest, what I mean is give a chance to one of the greatest milestone of mankind . The blockchain.

I would suggest to buy Bitcoin for 450$, altcoins for 50$ and keep 400$ Bitcoin and all altcoins in wallet. Take 50$ for ICOs and don't waste your money for daytrading.

if you want to invest better invest a small amount first and find or know how it works until you get more experience. just invest what can you afford to lose.

with 500 $ you can use maybe 50 - 100 $ for trading, because if the amount of capital that little gain is not so visible, but you also have to have good skill and experience in trading

If you are getting $500 every week than you can allocate any amount you like which you can afford to loss. If you are talking about short term trading than you can use those whole amount to make good amount of profit weekly but if you want to invest for long term and also on ICO than you should put around 50% everyweek. $500 is really good amount to invest every week, good luck.

I'm currently making about $1500 from my day job and I'm allocating half of it to buy bitcoins whenever it dips--or I deem that it's a great entry point for me. I've been buying bitcoin for 3 years now and only sell whenever I need some fast cash. Also, the cost of living on where I'm at right now is really cheap compared to when i was in Canada so money isn't really an issue if all I ever need to pay is my basic needs: rent, food, utility, internet--you get the gist. If you would be comfortable on allocating half of that $500 every week for bitcoin then do it. The main concern you'd ever face is whether you're okay with potentially losing x amount of money in the process. Most of the time you're in profit but you shouldn't eliminate the possibility of you losing the same money as well in the long run.

I think the best percentage for you to invest in the bitcoin was around 40% and why? it caused by the bitcoin is the main crypto that has used by all of the cryptos to be pegged on its price with the bitcoin itself.
And you cna try to invest the rest in another coin.

I think different factors are effecting your investment in bitcoin. If you are a good trader then you can invest any percentage of your money. As bitcoin still have good potential therefore i think 75% of your assets will be the best amount to invest in bitcoin. In fact bitcoin is a very safe investment in current time.

Cryptocurrencies are very volatile and have a market manipulation or Flash Crash scenarios more often than other equities. So it depends on your Risk Appetite to decide the amount you want to invest in Crypto.

If you are young and have a sound knowledge of Market, great. Go ahead and invest 70-75% of your total Savings. Or decrease it depending on your future plans and needs of your saving.

If you can, you should try atleast 200$. If you want to be a long term investor, you should add additional 100$ per week. If you will be a day trader, you can start to play around 200$. Take profit every 3-5% is good than waiting for a 10% profit. Approximately in 9 days of taking 10% per day, you can double your investment. In long term investment, you should add   additional investment constantly.

Me personally i divide by 70%/30%. The big part is for my bills, needs and want. 30% is for saving investing. Some goes to insurance and some goes to crypto and stocks. I usually buy more in stocks or crypto depending on the situation of the market.

Day trading is a very good job it will give us good income but you need to have trading skills,if you just start the trading without any knowledge then you will lose all the money and your target for a week is very huge and it is hard to achieve even for a professional day traders. So you just start bitcoin trading by doing small trades like upto $100 then if you can find profit from it just carry on with it.
If you are able to invest big amount the you can go for long term bitcoin investment it will give good profit also but it take some years.

Day trading can be very lucrative but also very dangerous if you have not the experience and skills to do it. Start with a low amount, learn everything you can by reading newssites, blogs, forums,... When you are more experienced, than you can invest a bigger amount in bitcoin and altcoins.

Its just playing in probability. So small amount that you suggest as beginner is good idea. Dont start very much money in beginning, if you do that seems like you will loss anything.

If you are planning to do trading begin with such amount that would not cause you to much burden if ever you had make a wrong move and lose maybe you can start with 20-50 dollars then observed your ability if you could make profit from that amount and already confident in what you are doing then add investment little by little. In trading there's always chance to lose or if not so your money would be stuck until you can't sell the coin you have before so better just invest money excess of your needs.

With bitcoin we cannot make a clear statement about the investment. Here even $500 might get you $1000 profit in a week. Everything happens unexpected, which sometimes termed to be of luck. But, in reality it is all about the growth happening with time on the market.

You can gather money from here and there and then you will go invest into trading. That sounds little risky to me. I mean how would you pay back the money if you did not win in the first place. I’m sure you have plans for that thing.

Anywa after getting that money you should put it into different altcoins as well as bitcoin. Spreading your investment into more than two locations will give you better stability in terms of the profits. I mean it might happen that one coin stick to single price for more than ages but meanwhile at least it could happen that another coin will jump to moon like crazy. So spread it first and choose the % share as per the coins reputation. For any type of investment bitcoin should always hold 50% investment, rest you can break up Leo the way you want.

You may learned first before get in into trading, 500$ a week that's good enough capital of investment when you do trading. Put some time or do research when you pick up coins in altcoins or in ICO tokens do some researched on their platform and raodmap, or else it will lost all your fund here in trading. Much better you invest in bitcoin for long term I am pretty assure that you have a less risk here.

Invest/ trade with only 20% from your fund to start the journey. I don't agree with 50% - 100%, is too much and we can get " panic " if something wrong happen. Invest/ trade is not the easy way to make income, we will try everyday to get the best result and sometimes loss become our friend. Be wise with your money and have a nice day.

Totally depends on the the trader or investor, he/she wants to risk his capital. Trading on a daily basis, I like to put 10-20%, max 30% when I was new and a learner. After reaching to a moderate position I went to 70% max quite a few times. If asking about amount, $400-$800 as for new learners would be good enough, but it depends on the capital individually.

If you just starting to invest then try to invest small money and get some returns. This technology is the latest and will be future.
Instead of trader you keep your funds in bitcoins and altcoin in your wallets. I will not suggest you to invest the whole money becuase it basically works if you understand them.
Investments is a good decision especially in cryptos.

I suggest, the first thing you do before starting bitcoin trading is learn about bitcoin trading. trading bitcoin should not be played without sufficient knowledge. if you want to get started, first look how the trick to profit with bitcoin trading. bitcoin trading is hard to predict if you do not have enough knowledge about the value of the rise and fall of bitcoin prices and other digital currencies.
so, once you know about bitcoin trading. you can start it. just give the capital for trading of 30 $ - 80 $ to start trading bitcoin. bitcoin trading must have a risk of defeat and victory. if successful, you can start again with 500 $.

You should never invest more into Bitcoin trading than you can afford to lose. If you invest everything into BTC trading then chances are you will be homeless because only a noob would invest all their eggs into one basket... it doesn't make sense and in reality if you are very poor you should start with maybe only $100 at most and try to multiply that as much as you can.

Agreed! The current price if bitcoin is 12k$ which means that investing this much of money will not even help you in getting 0.5 bitcoin. It all depends on your income as well as the amount of money you do have in your account. If you are really interested in investing your money into bitcoin, then you need to invest somewhat around 60-70% of your total income. This will help you in having more profit in return.

In my personalilty I made investment in Bitcoin 80% of total my money, and other 20% in fiat. And then from that 80% of Bitcoin i divide in to 2 portfolio, 70% of Bitcoin for long term investment and other 30% for day trading because day trade is more risky than hold Bitcoin but will be promising higher profit. By this portfolio and risk management in trading i hope i can increasing my money by continue.

its all about how much you can take risking your money, you can go all in and buy those coins which have a big development in the future, I think we do have our own position about how much we can take and how deep we can go in terms of trading investment. if you are a risk taker and you can take

Just holding bitcoin is enough to make your $500 grow 25% in months time only or even faster and larger than that. Theres another feature that you can relax and rely on the time also just holding it from a secured wallet like blockchain.info, mycelium or for more safety measures trezor wallet or ledger Nano.

I am also pretty much not in favor of trading with bitcoin since trading is quite risky and there are sufficient chances of losing your worthy bitcoin in trading and at present prices of bitcoin, one really cannot afford losing bitcoin.

The prices are increasing gradually and it is highly predicted that bitcoin will go beyond 20, 000 dollars by next year. Bitcoin should be used as an asset than as a currency for trading.

I do try putting 100% on my allowance and it turns out good for me. I think it must be on your specification on what are your priorities, so take time to plan first before doing it. In most cases a 50% is enough if that is 500$ then 250$ for investment and other for daily needs. I think you should provide complete details about it, so other members can balance it out they’re answers.

Yeah, sometimes too much expectations is not good. It can do only worst for that matter. As you've said mate we should start in a little, so we avoid regreting in trading. But profits grow day by day i think it also depends on our instincts and also we should read some news about the good things and bad things happened in bitcoin.

Assuming you have that $500 amount in a week and you want it to invest in crypto currency. My suggestion would be that think of a way or manage that amount on how much you invest and how much would be your pocket money. In that way you cannot compromise you daily needs and expenses and also think of the risks in investing due to volatility on cryptocurrency. A lot of people suggest to invest only the amount that would not hurt your daily expenses.

Maybe you got luck, can you think what happen if when you put 100% for the alts and the bitcoin go to moon ?
Your alts price could be drop, and that's when patience is tested.

1. Divide all of your asset into 50:50 (For Alts Trading : Bitcoin Investment)
2. Divide your 50% of your alts trading into 5 or 10 coins
3. Just take profit 10% or more for each coins, if not possible, just take 6-7%

I'm not that greedy and there is no time constraint.

Your income is 500 dollars weekly? You should deposit 100 dollars in trading and start with that, with profit continue to trade and don't withdraw it, if you are good try with more or don't be greedy and stay on 100 dollars investment. Try to invest in different alts, at least 50 dollars every week, and rest keep in bitcoins. I'm doing the same for years and I have good results, try to not be greedy and you will see that you will be more successful, greediness is a killer I felt that.
Concentrate more on making small profit and save more, you will see how it going, don't forget to tell us what did you choose to do in the end.

Just advice, Don't do it too often, actually its not wise.

3. Just take profit 10% or more for each coins, if not possible, just take 6-7%
The best thing to do is diversify always your investment. The 500$ amount is okay bitcoin trading so I will choose also to invest in bitcoin ofcourse because a big chance to grow my money. The rest will in altcoins those has a future coin.

Just holding bitcoin is enough to make your $500 grow 25% in months time only or even faster and larger than that. Theres another feature that you can relax and rely on the time also just holding it from a secured wallet like blockchain.info, mycelium or for more safety measures trezor wallet or ledger Nano.
I guess there is no percentage measurement that we should follow in trading unless you have a knowledge on how to trade your money. However, holding your coin also as a investment will also grow but if you really wanted go have some experience on how to trade then I guess just put only a small percentage of your earned coin.

Since you said that you are not greedy then probably you can invest $250 because it is a big money in our country. And make sure that you still have some money in your pocket for emergency case. Investing is kinda risky too but learning about bitcoins will help you a lot not get scammed by others.
its all about how much you can take risking your money, you can go all in and buy those coins which have a big development in the future, I think we do have our own position about how much we can take and how deep we can go in terms of trading investment. if you are a risk taker and you can take
the possibility of losing then you can go all in mate.
Always the question about trading is how much money could you risk to gain or lose. I'm including lose because it is already part of trading. I advice to those who are new to trading to just put a small portion or small percentage in trading because it is not easy to recover to lose a big percentage of your money that is a fruit of your hard work.

$500 "It's a very small money".
I see Bitcoin is an expensive ctypto to invest.
Start with altcoin, which has more potential people than any other coin.
Below the falls,
Einsteinium 108.94%
MonaCoin 89.06%
YOYOW 82.95%
IOTA 63.92%
Streamr DATAcoin 54.82%
Stellar Lumens 47.64%
This is a very good and comparatively cheap form of coin, her earning potential is higher in a crypto market.

Yeah, sometimes too much expectations is not good. It can do only worst for that matter. As you've said mate we should start in a little, so we avoid regreting in trading. But profits grow day by day i think it also depends on our instincts and also we should read some news about the good things and bad things happened in bitcoin.
$500 is too high to start in trading for a new beginner trader, and yes $30-$50 is enough at least you wouldn't be get too hurt when you failed to your trading and worst is when you lose. And while doing your trading just be relax and don't put too much emotions mostly set high expectations that you would get earn in your trading.

If I can get 500USD within a week then I will invest 300USD or about 60%, I believe if I can make an investment then I can get a much better profit than when I just stay and nothing I do. This is indeed an option because our decisions will affect what we can get. I'm optimistic when I can do it well then I can get a satisfactory result. I usually do trading because according to me by trading then I can get bigger result compared to other existing investment at this time.

Personally, I would invest in bitcoin. I waited for correction and invested. In occasion of: how much to invest? You always need to invest as much as you are not afraid to lose.
