I choose Monero, and still believe that XMR price is too low and will grow in future.
Monero has an excellent community, I joined local Monero channel in telegram a few years ago and read it almost every day.

Much useful news, calm communication and very friendly participants.
And I like the Monero idea of course.

Oh that's great, small rising can be a big rising for the future, maybe this is the beginning of the monero at the ever-increasing level I think it's really good to invest in monero so I'll try to invest too.

Didn't know that. Gotta look on this closely.

Monero is always my choice, and I believe it continues to be profitable to mine even with GPUs. After all, isn't that what all them naughty sites are using now to mine using their users' browsers? Monero?

Anyway, I have Stratis but never heard of Breeze wallet to anonymize Bitcoin use. Definitely going to look that up. Been waiting for a good, stable wallet to test the shit out of this wallet tumbling. I do know tumbling doesn't actually do much to anonymize anything though, so maybe the poster is slightly mistaken.

Monero is the one I'd use to keep things secret, but in terms of growth there are things like Spectrecoin and Cloakcoin which have active devs. You can do privacy in many ways so it will be interesting to see who does it best.

My favourite privacy coin investments are ZEC and Verge. Plus I have some ZeN, which has grown recently. My best bet is of course ZEC. I think it could achieve top-10 cap in 2018.

What will happen with these coins when eth gets anonymous transactions? I think the demand for other anon coins will drop again.

Monero is the only coin that has privacy enabled by default and since its inception. All others had it implemented along the way over an update (or soft fork). For this reason i favor it when compared to others such as PVIX, ZEC and Vergecoin...

XMR has a lot of community challenges going on right now, so if you have any dev skills you can help improve the coin tech/code while earning some money for it.

Taking reports of AlphaBay closure into account, Monero seems to be the best anonymous coin around. So in terms of tech quality I would answer XMR, but in terms of pure price speculation I'd go for Cloak probably.

Depends on what your goal is. If you want to make transactions in the most private and anonymous way possible, then go for XSPEC which is still cheap right now. However, if you want a good long term investment, then deeponion will rise a lot in 2018

STRAT with Tumblebit coming? Yes please! Otherwise I'm a big fan of XMR's technology. Not the most scalable, but really impressive tech.

verge, pivx and deep onion are my favorite ones right now. I see that a lot of people all say monero but isn't monero overpriced  considering you can buy all of it's rivals for a fraction of the cost and they all have basically the same features. What does monero have over the others to have such a large difference in price over them. There's a couple of new ones just starting off that i am monitoring also.

Deep onion and Monero have to be my picks, both seem to be doing well and Deep Onion is still in its early stages so is one for the future

That's right, the release is coming up very soon.  Stratis Tumblebit is the future of anonymous bitcoin transactions.  Stratis masternodes will be paid from the bitcoin tumblebit fees.  https://news.bitcoin.com/82447-2/

I think Vergecoin (XVG) will surge if they do the right thing with the Coinpouch hack that happened recently.  The price has to be down some because of that and it might just blow over and recover soon (since it was not the dev team's fault).  The TOR wallet for android is working well and there is much room for growth. Mining is reasonably profitable on GPUs right now.

Well I didn't know stratis was a privacy focussed one. I prefer to use Monero, and zcash. I also heard new ones, but I didn't go deep into them. They're so mixed up to me.

You are right, most of us who are still investing in monero are the real ones who like the "real" idea of Satoshi.

I choose Monero, and still believe that XMR price is too low and will grow in future.

Do they really have a telegram group? Or are you talking about your "Local" telegram group? If it is the official group then send me an invitation, i am willing to join of course.

Monero has an excellent community, I joined local Monero channel in telegram a few years ago and read it almost every day.

All those people who doesnt like the idea of Monero, are the ones who doesn't like bitcoin. Because it is almost the same system, only that the newbie ones doesnt know that, monero is the real idea of satoshi nakamoto.

And I like the Monero idea of course.

Monero is the leader on this list. Then will go such privacy coins as ZEC and ZeN, which has grown recently. And after that will go Deeponion and Masternodecoin.
I believe this portfolio will give me some good profit in 2018. As You can see there is no any privacy tokens, so do not use them in order You look for real privacy!

Monero is the leader and for now most peoples favourites. I don't care that much for privacy and think mostly it is an overvalued concept because it is severely limited by the fact that so many don't care about privacy.

Traceability of bitcoin transactions will be used by state actors to supervise the flow of money.
To counteract this, privacy/fungibility will gain much more attention in the coming years leading to a boom of privacy coins.
This might be an intermediate thing as Ethereum is looking into implementing zkSNARKs as well.

I suppose you can pick Zcash if you are looking for altcoins that can be easily mined. Try to pay more attention at Stratis also. Additionally, pick the coins not only to mine but to trade as it gives more advantages.

My personal favourite anon altcoin is definitely Monero. But others are Zcash, Verge and Xtrabytes. Verge is probably good future investment, monero and zcash are for trading and buying things.

Monero has good potential and developer team and growing in very well manner. Next year the price of Monero will make some sufficient change. All the Investor of Monero will get good return as Profit if they hold for long. With that they can trade bitcoin to make free to hold the Monero. If you parallel of invest in bitcoin means, you want money means you can sell bitcoin and Monero for your future.

XMR or Monero would be my best pick because monero leads the privacy coins right now and it has a strong community.

My favourite privacy coins are Monero, Zcash and Deeponion. The former 2 coins have high price now. So I can only afford to accumulate Deeponion at this moment.

Right now i'm foccusing a lot of TokenPay project. In my opinion it has the best privacy implementantion plus MTE wich is an extra + for them . Also the guy from verge is on tokenpay.

The only two that I find remotely worth using are XMR (Monero) and ZEC (ZCash). ZCash is harder to use, and you have to go out of your way to use a private address (if your address starts with T, it's transparent & not private), but assuming you're not leaking your IP address, zk-SNARKs are uncrackable.

Monero is the only one that's distributed, decentralized, open source, and fairly launched. Its development team is entirely volunteer, and it uses multiple simultaneous privacy protection methods. It's also always-on privacy, not opt-in. It's what I would personally use.

Undisputedly monero is the best when it comes to privacy and will ensure users remain untraceable and the advantage of this cryptocurrency its among the oldest crypto coins to date and trusted by many users.

Other alternatives to consider are Bytecoin and Zcash .

Forget to mentioned about PIVX, a unique cryptocurrency that offers proof-of-stake minting, and masternodes announced on November 28 that they have successfully implemented the Zerocoin Protocol. Zerocoin is a fascinating technology that provides total privacy on a blockchain.

Most of you are recommending Monery, but I heard that Monero wasn't that secure. It was possible to trace transactions back to the participants.

Can't find the article now, but I found something else:

I know that Monero and DASH are very private and anonymous cryptocurrencies. Recently I have met the video that informs about other alts to use if you want to stay more private. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IOp9gQr69d8

And about Sumo - some interesting new coin.
