What happened to maximum 5 coins per bidder? SM23031997 is trying to grab all first ten coins. Not cool.

I specified that the maximum 5 coins per buyer was for the general sales which will happen after these auctions have concluded. I also specified that you could bid on all the coins "all @ +0.0005BTC".

Now I did not expect anyone to actually bid on all the coins but I feel like I can't just up and change the rules in the middle of the auction. However, if SM230 and all other current bidders would like me to put a limitation on the auction as well I'd do that. Sorry for any inconvenience.

Update*

After a thorough QA done by minerjones we unfortunetely found that some coins had some minor imperfections.. Light scratch on the surface that is hardly noticeable but it is there nonetheless.

What this means is that the affected coins will be sent back to the mint with the purpose of being re-minted. These news are very sad as I was trying to make sure everything was perfect before releasing these to the public. There is only one coin from this auction that is affected by this issue and that's #7. We will send it back ASAP and I'll get a time frame for them shortly, hopefully it won't be too much of an issue and hopefully everyone can understand the decision. I will definitely find ways to make sure that whoever wins #7 ends up happy.

As for the regular numbers I will let everyone that made reservations know if they are affected or not. Worst case scenario you'll have to wait a bit longer to receive the coin.

Will keep you posted on the progress of this, and again I offer you guys my sincerest apologies.

Besides a few hiccups with some slight imperfections (I'm a perfectionist so even something that can't be seen with the naked eye at first I'll have it re-minted, lol), I'm happy with the  end product and with the awesome support and praise I've been getting from everyone here.

*Update on the Imperfections on certain coins:
The coins that I wanted to have re-minted were sent back to the mint yesterday and should reach them tomorrow or so and that's when I'll have a final date for when they'll be back with MJ.
As some of you have agreed to wait until then and some have changed their numbers I think this is going well. The ones that will get back that are not reserved right now will be sold alongside the general sales once they are in hand. As for #7 in this auction I hope that whoever wins it can be patient and understanding if a longer delay occurs. I'm doing my damnedest :D.

How does one get a hologram exactly to print their own private key and stick it onto the coin?

I assumed you needed a special printer or get some print shop to do it for you. In that case it doesn't seem very secure.

You get the hologram from me, which is a tamper proof hologram. The private key you'll have to print out yourself and there are several guides on how to do it securely around here on the forum and other places :). I'd say it is the closest you'll get to secure considering.. Your eyes are (should be) the only ones that have seen the private key. If you'd like me to help you find some proper guides or otherwise feel free to send me a PM.

Don't forget to check out Kialara website and get on his mailing list. When Max introduces a new piece it usually sells out in a day, two at most. Benefit is you can pay with Paypal. Kialaras have greatly increased in value, but if they don't float your boat appreciation is secondary. I only collect what I really like. I just happen to really like Kialaras, while Casascius are not my thing.
