Title: Dual Mining Monero + ?
Post by: lanfeust on December 01, 2017, 06:46:05 PM
Hello,
I purchased x16 Vega 64 and I am looking to dual mine for better efficiency, What would be the best option to dual mine on Monero? I would prefer Electroneum (considering it's in the same network as Monero) but if it's not possible what other options are available and how to do so?

For double hashing is designed only Claymore Dual (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1433925). Algorithms dagger hashimoto + coins Decred/Siacoin/Lbry/Pascal.
Monero supports merged mining of XMR + XDN/FCN via GUI MinerGate.

Unfortunately MinerGate is scam, any other options to dual mine Monero?

lanfeust:  Can't do on Monero.

ETH-based type coins only can be dual mined

Do not worry much about dual mining Monero with Vegas, they do pretty well by mining it alone, it is the best card in the market for mining actually at mining Monero. Just put your cards to work through Claymore Cryptonote miner or through latest version of Nicehash Legacy which you can download at miner.nicehash.com (http://miner.nicehash.com) and you will be making some good bitcoins during the upcoming year.

Correct, but if there is an option to dual mine Monero than it would be even better.

Monero soaks enough resources out of a GPU that I doubt dual-mining is a practical option.

Only reason it works on ETH is that ETH is VERY strongly memory-limited while the cores tend to loaf....
