Title: Hearty Mini Raffle! 1/100 tickets sold. Entry from 0.0005 to 0.002 BTC
Post by: PrintMule on July 04, 2013, 05:50:50 PM
Welcome to the Hearty Mini Raffle!  :-* Rules are as follows:

Write a name or a series of words describing something you love/like a lot - it can be your mother's or girlfriend's name, some kind of activity like wrestling, your favorite shemale porn actress, most beloved dish, TV show you enjoy, anything that comes to mind. Only rule - it has to be written in CAPS. You can also write a description, what is it, and why do you love it. Then you must write how much do you want to bet BTC0.0005 BTC0.001 BTC0.002

When the number of participants reaches 50, I will post money pot address at the end of this post. When all bets are made I will combine all of those beloved things mentioned in a large string and use that in a randomizer of my choosing (or maybe suggested one) as a seed. Winning number will get the prize.

If the winning number made a bet of BTC0.0005 he will collect all bets of a same amount,  1/2 of the bets of BTC0.001 and 1/4 of BTC0.002 bets.
If the winning number made a bet of BTC0.001 he will collect all bets of a same amount or lower and 1/2  of BTC0.002 bets.
If the winning number made a bet of BTC0.002 he will collect everything.
Remaining from 1/2 or 1/4 leftovers in upper two variants will be taxed 20% and then returned back to those raffle participants.
If this raffle somehow fails before finding a winner I will simply return all bets with no tax.

I will keep list of participants strings and bets in this original (or maybe following) post, and if I fail to do that due lack of space, I'll move this list to google docs or embedded picture format.

Good luck everyone!

VIOLET

My girlfriends name, I really believe we'll grow old together. She perfectly suits  my lifestyle, as I suit her. We are quite unmatched in our interests, but matched in bed :) On a side note, I think if she ever leaves me, I'll break her, and whomever she leaves me for, legs  ::) But it goes really swell for a pretty long time now for me to not to worry about it.

My bet is BTC0.001

Is it that noone interested in rafles anymore, and everyone just wants stuff for free instead of 0.0005 BTC ?
Or is it that I don't have a hero status?
Or rules are unacceptable?

I welcome someone to comment on this.
Thank you.

It doesn't have any thing to do with you're status. You do have lack of trust which could be a issue. But, normally people don't like to do these things because they are so easy to fix. Normally, You would have to do a live draw from a random number generator so people can actually see what came out. 0.0005 might not seem much to risk. But, that could be worth quite a bit in the future. Who knows what is going to happen.

I wish you the best of luck.

Ok, thanks for the input.

Seemed like a nice idea to me. Max profit for someone would be 0.2 btc, not so big amount to earn scammer tag for it. Max profit for me could be ~0.02 btc, and maybe 0.2 if I win, but I really would not want for that to happen, cause of possible shitstorm.

There we go. From idea about love it went to idea about shitstorms.

Last raffle was a scam.

Yeah, I was a part of it and it seemed sketchy from a start, but that's not even a true raffle if tickets are free. But does it mean that all subsequential raffles are scams? Also for 0.0005 btc only thing you can buy is a box of matches.

Why don't you let a third party (escrow) hold all the raffle entries.  That would show a little more legitimacy.

I'm not interested as much. Whole idea was to get people going with more than just "1F7x2983cdghvd7c7ycc THANKS OP!". A little more effort, at least some input. I welcome any respected third party to make a similar or same raffle in another thread, with hopefully better luck. I would gladly join if ticket price is not too high. I close this thread, sorry to take your time.  :-\
