i want to ask,, Is good if i sell my btc and all in hold eth? give me advice

split the risk by holding half in eth and half in btc. Or maybe better split it to five different coins.

I would put half in Bitcoin  (https://coincodex.com/crypto/bitcoin/)and half in Ethereum (https://coincodex.com/crypto/ethereum/).

Five kinds of coins too much, I think it is best not to exceed 3 ALTCOIN. Because this can manage your profit well, easy to operate. If you have a very large and diverse ALTCOIN in your hands, managing your coins will be a headache.

Yeah it's very good choice but I would recommend 50% ethereum and 50% bitcoins :)

Yes i belive the price of ethereum will break 1000$ next year so if you have to ETH now i suggest that hold it until the price increase . there are many coins now listed in coinmarket cap use ETH contract so i believe this one is also help to have more addoption in ETH .

Yes, it feels good to hold Ethereum. If the next alts bull run happens, which is possible, that's one of the best picks to be holding.

I think this is not a good choice. Ether is a good coin. It will cross $1000 near 2018. But my suggestion is not to take risk. The price of BTC is increasing rapidly. Hold half of your BTC and buy some ETH for long time hold.

I too think that ETH will  continue to be the good coin in terms of future value in coming years. Only think is that in my collection of coins I would not weigh 50% to ETh. It would be 20 % around and rest 30% would buy some other coins , considering 50% is on btc. There are some new ICO coming up and if you can find a good one better to invest at early stage now.

for now, yes hold ethereum, but dont forget btc, depends abnormal market of bitcoin, it will give you option which the best to get profit.

I think you should hold your bitcoin until the end year, i sure the price bitcoin will high up again. Price ethereum is very stable need more time for high up the price, you can buy ethereum in january 2018.

You won't do good if you hold all in one, do diversification because of its volatility, if one fails you will have others to hold up to. You know you must have both positive and negative looks at things especially this very case of you investing.

ETH is a good coin to invest in but I don’t think it is a good idea to sell all your BTC for ETH. Why don’t you diversify and hold both BTC and ETH? In this case, you can diversify the risk.

no, you should have them both, you never know... but I think it's best BTC... But how do we know, cryptocurrencyes are still in development, god knows what will happen in the future.. be prepared, you should know/buy other currencyes too, some are still cheap and there is a lot of potencial to increase in value in the near future...

it is the worst thing that you can do, maybe ethereum has been rising a lot during the last months if we talk about USD value.
But just look at the charts, it was 0.12 bitcoins on June, and now it is just 0.04 each one.

It has rised a lot if we talk about fiat, but in bitcoins, it decreased more than 60% in about four-five months.

The best thing that you can do is just have that money on bitcoin, or just buy some eths.

Depends, if you have more than 0.1 btc, I suggest you hold 70% of it, and you can invest the 30% whether to eth or other altcoins. I suggest litecoin, this coin sure will pump in no time.

Bitcoin and Ethereum has their own market. Many people predict Ethereum will chasing Bitcoin soon, but we don't know when will happen, or some says Ethereum will goes to 10% Bitcoin rates, if now 1 Bitcoin = $ 10,976.34 so 10% from $10,976.34 was $1,097.63 this Ethereum rate will be. For me I will trade both Split it half or 60% on Bitcoin and the other 40% on Ethereum. Watch the market how is the trends. Why I suggest 60% on Bitcoin? Not on Ethereum, we are known Bitcoin just like The King Crypto and Ethereum just like The Queen, thats simple explaination. The King will be always sure be as a Leader and The Queen will chase The King where he goes.

I think so. Eth is growing so fast recently. And i also think it has the trend of going up in future.

I think it is better if you hold bitcoin and also ethereum. Both of bitcoin and ethereum are the most promising coins.

I wouldnt recommend ever going all in on a single coin, unless you're ok with taking extremely high risks. Keep some of your Bitcoin and only sell half (or whatever percentage you decide after giving it some thought) for Ethereum. This advice goes for anyone trying to set up a portfolio.

Investing in Ethereum would be a wise choice if one wants to hold the investment on long term, this means at least a year to a few years in order to see some decent and good gains, in my honest opinion Ethereum will be much bigger than bitcoin in the future, Ethereum is based on smart contracts and I think real world usage will be benefitting much from this amazing technology.

This is a very interesting question, because I myself have wondered that on multiple occasions. In fact, when bitcoin reached the $10K line, I set out to start accumulating more ethereum than bitcoins, assuming that bitcoin's growth potential would already be quite limited and a big correction could be near.

However I see that time passes and the upward trend of bitcoin seems to increase every day instead of decreasing, so now I'm still buying bitcoins, almost in the same proportion as I invest in ethereum.

Bitcoin is a brand. And it forks well, so there is a consensus that BTC is trustworthy.
All other coins are awesome. Hold 10 different coins least. It lowers the risk.

Well, of course its up to you like to sell it or not. If you bought it below 9k$ or 9k$ plus you already have profit but if you want more higher profit you can still hold em for another a couple of months for you to earn much more big earnings.

To spli the risk is a good idea but perhaps you could reserve a little part to a series of still not very capitalised good altcoins.

 Ether is one of the ports that can be considered safe. You do not have to sell all the BTCs in your hand.If you believe you will do business, you can get some ether.

I think holding Ethereum is a good bet. You need to realize Bitcoin and Ethereum are the main staples of the crypto world right now. ETH wasn't even on the radar really 6 months ago. It only burst on the scene recently. Back in march I bought hundreds of ETH for like $39. Wish I had kept them. xD

Yeah. I much suggested that, because ethereum now is still in low price, compare to bitcoin. I know ethereum has the potential to be the next bitcoin. Ethereum now has very lot of projects, specially the smart contract.

Keep both. I would say 60% BTC and the rest in ETH.

Eth has a great community supporting it and strong demand for it so I would feel comfortable holding eth long term over a lot of other options.

Nowadays, I am confident more on bitcoins, it is much profitable to dig with it rather than other type of alt-coins, We evidently witness the performance of bitcoins going back 7 years ago until now. started from humble beginnings from 1$ to 11K in the present. Most of us are enjoyed the benefits of bitcoins brought to our lives. No matter what happens, preffered with btc:)

I believe BTC is a must have in one's crypto portfolio. I made the mistakes of not holding BTC. So my advice would be 50/50 between BTC and ETH.

As BTC gain more mainstream following, the price will only go up.

I think you shouldn't convert all, convert a half and keep it a half. ETH is used for investing in ICO. Many ICOs are based on eth platform so with eth you can grow your money. Eth in your wallet then convert to BTC again part of it, and part of it is for investing again. That way I think you can grow your money.

Putting your egg in one basket is never wise. That is a basic rule in investing. Eth is agreat coin and has a huge potential in the future but if you put it all in ethereum it is very risky.

You can always buy 2-3 coins and hold them for long term. Btc, eth , ltc, dash, monero are some of the great coins that can be hold long term.

I think better hold btc because John mcAfee say at the end of 2020 btc will 1m$ price.

I dont think that is a good idea my friend, why don't you try to leave half of your investment on bitcoin and go for long term and the other half would be on Ethereum. That way, it is like a win-win for you; you get to hold two coins for long term and would profit also on both of these coins.

Practical wise, I would go on just holding btc than trade it for eth then hold. I am not saying that eth is not a good coin for holding but its just that Im more confident with bitcoin than eth. It would also be good decision to buy variety of coins like 3-5 altcoins if you are planning for long time of holding.

You can do that as it will predominantly boost your earnings. This is because the ether price is cheap and can get very expensive as compared to bitcoin. So you see there is huge scope for the ethereum to rise in price and it can change many more folds as comforted to bitcoin.

Also, have you invested in the bitcoin when the price for it was in between 9-11K ? If yes then you can do it rightfully and convert your bitcoin holdings to ethereum one. Here you will have more chance to get at 1000 USD from the current rate of 460 USD. While for bitcoin it would be difficult to catch the prices of 15000 from 10000 USD. So you see that is where it differed at this situation. You can always choose the right path.

it is not a good idea cause we all know that if that may dump you have nothing so better to have another than of that just like in ethereum it is much better having some coins also that you are trying to hold for i believe that there is a lot of coin there that are having a potential too.

if you have ETH better hold as of now as its value started increasing. But its not adviced to sell bitcoin to purchase ETH and hold. BTC value is booming compared to ETH. You must be aware of it. If you still wish to buy ETH, sell half of the btc you hold and buy ETH. This would earn you more than profiting from one coin. All the best.

I think it's time to buy altcoin ETH coins and that already have ETH coins please hold it up because then there will be a big pump when BTC is stable the price could be ETH price will be translucent $ 500- $ 1000 as seen from the chart and the investors are very interested with ETH coins for long-term investment land

I guess to not sell all your Bitcoin, i think holding BTC is better than holding Ethereum. We do not know what will happen with price of Bitcoin maybe will keep rise and not for Ethereum with the value is not too good.

maybe he can stick with bitcoin only and not buy ethereum. but if he really wants to hold ethereum then he can buy ethereum while the price is still the low price. don't take too long to think because every time is a value for us and don't be late to buy. but I think it is better to stay with bitcoin because the profit will be bigger than ethereum.

Selling all your bitcoins to hold Ethereum is not a good idea. However holding some bitcoins and Ethereum's are a wise decision. Bitcoin and Ethereum have a great potential to increase,  but bitcoin has a bigger chance. While Ethereum also has a chance to increase but it seems difficult to overtake Bitcoin since it is the prioneer of cryptocurrency.

Compare with BitCoin, it is pretty good at this level. But not sure, it is your call

Holding both BTC or Eth are good choices , but converting all your BTC to Eth isn't a good initiative since BTC growth rate is incomparable with Eth's , bitcoin can increase in value with approximately 40$ + per day , whether Eth's increase remain pretty slow .
So i'd certainly go the other way around if i were you and convert all my Eth to BTC .

it depends. i wouldnt say that holding bitcoin is a bad idea the trend is good for bitcoin as well as Ethereum, but investing in ethereum need a lot of patience. cause its for a long term and aint good for short term investation. good choice indeed to invest in ethereum. just find a right time to sell yours btc and buy ethereum and hold it sure profitable. good luck

Bitcoin and Ethereum are the top coins in terms of marketcap, while crypto is considered very high risk, these 2 crypto's are in a way more stable than the rest of the currencies.

Buy and store bitcoin and etherium - this is a good idea. As we see, bitcoin and etherium are steadily growing in their value. So I think investing money in these tokens is good.

Well for long term holders yes this two coins will bring a big profits after some years, better understanding and trust with the system, its wise to split your investment mate and never to place it under one basket as we go further we are ain't sure what can be the outcome of each project so better to have a

Yah sure, the price of ethereum is raising significantly nowadays. Other than that it is the second strongest coin after bitcoin in the crypto world. It is good for long term investment. Now many ico's are accepting eth. Holding ethereum will give you really more profit in future.

Never don't sell all bitcoin. I did the same mistake last summer bought ETH for BTC and lost around 50% in BTC. In very long term i think BTC has more potential. But it's good to have also some parts in ETH.

Just split your coins, you should atleast have Bitcoin and Ethereum. Don't forget that prices are very volatile, so don't just stick to one coin only. You should be open-minded to the things that might happen. Like now, bitcoin's price is pumping, as well as the price of Ethereum.

I believe Ethereum is the next best cryptocurrency after Bitcoin. Ethereum would one day overtake Bitcoin, so hold Ethereum for five years and it would definitely make you rich in future.

Not really but since its one of the cheapest, its  a good thing to have some stash of it just incase its price turned out to be more than $0.10 in the coming months, its going to be a big profit for you. I have invested just about $400 for it but never get to dump it. If the mobile mining is really possible, those who decided to buy ETN will really be a lucky as me.

It's always good to hold a bit of ETH. I usually like to get ETH for investing in ICOS, then you can earn your multiplier on a coin and then sell for ETH and Bitcoin eventually growing more ETH in the process. I usually tend to spend more ETH than save though at the moment.

Don't sell Bitcoin as it is the best investment at the moment, If you want invest further more then use Ethereum, but it didn't rised so far only in some dollars. Bitcoin is rising in thousands and a lot of investors are investing into Bitcoin.

There is always the risk of a loss at the market (especially crypto), but we can significantly reduce it using the difersifying. If I were you and I have just BTC in my portfolio I would definitely diversify it into top-10 (maybe top-20) cryptos.

Definitely split between the two. They will both go up. The worst thing you can do is move everything into one coin that sits still while the other rises. It comes down to personal preference, but I would definitely say split it.
