LOL   We have btc, ltc or even pxc for that, why have a "third party" coin like pokercoin to exchange back and forth and then exchange again for btc ltc when you want to cash out?   Another shitcoin.

So whats the plan to accomplish this?  Any poker sites lined up?  Plans to build one in the works?  Discussions happening?  Or is it just because its called pokercoin?

Looks like "new-alt fever" is about dead with less than 10 posts in here. Two months ago there would have been hundreds by now.

Some people are also at work, it is the middle of the day. Lucky for me, my miners are at my store  :)

Have all the players folded and left the table?    With a 100,000 coin premine and a vanishing developer, that is no suprise.

http://altcha.in/chain/Pokercoin is still alive, and it shows last block as #301 from 2013-07-05 20:09:51.

The chain could be revived easily.  But why bother?  I don't want to support a 100,000 POK premine.

So I announce my intent to REBOOT the pokercoin chain and to DESTROY the 100,000 premine.

Pokercoin Reboot Todo List:
* mine new chain > block 301 - DONE!
* create a new repo - DONE! - https://github.com/superblocks/Pokercoin
* release new client code with checkpoints from new chain - DONE! - Version 1.0.1 now in repo, with: https://github.com/superblocks/Pokercoin/blob/master/src/checkpoints.cpp
* Create a PokercoinEaterDoNotSend /dev/null type address, have the community review and approve it, and then destroy the premine by sending 100,000 coins to that address
* etc!

Update: New thread for Pokercoin Reboot.  For updates:  https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=278417.0

It is my intent to destroy the 100,000 POK premine on the rebooted chain.

What address shall we use?   I'd prefer something like the 1BitcoinEaterAddressDontSendf59kuE address.   Still trying to figure out how to make one for pokercoin.   Anyone know of scripts or instructions for that?

Or we can go with the way btc-e destroyed 110K of the NVC premine.  See: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=144158.0

Using those instructions, and the web tool at http://gobittest.appspot.com/Address we get:

* In '1 - Public ECDSA Key' field, enter the byte sequence as public key:

0400000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000

* Hit send.  Then in the '4 - Adding network bytes to 3' field change the prefix to AB  (pokercoin address version is 0xAB, or decimal 171). Result is:

AB3B4DF4363CAA9E3BD9DA58020D3080BE8230A4AE

* Hit send.  Now we have a Pokercoin destroyer adress:

2BuCidDstqL7xDforAjhFxcuStL1V5jzVRa

Could some folks verify and double check this?  Thanks!

updates:

* Client Version 1.0.1 now in repo - with checkpoints on block #2 and #777 of the rebooted blockchain - https://github.com/superblocks/Pokercoin

Pokercoin Reboot updates:

* Rebooted chain now at block #1600 hash: 7af6588965b6568c0446617d1859ed7e63183dbae2d616a52c69778f6a8d117cd90635d72966f84 977375241 (http://altcha.in/block/1859ed7e63183dbae2d616a52c69778f6a8d117cd90635d72966f84977375241)

* current difficulty: 0.02613930

* current networkhashps: 1417965

* A few miners are active, but none have updated to Client Version 1.0.1 yet

* altcha.in block explorer is still showing the old chain, but the rebooted chain is getting into the altcha.in database.

* After the 100,000 POK premine is destroyed, it is my intent to start a new bounty program.  Details to be decided later, but 1st bounty will go to diatonic for keeping the block explorer online this whole time!

ETA: 3 Weeks

Can I mine on the 1.0 wallet until a new complied qt comes out?

Yes, you can mine with 1.0.0 wallets until a new compiled qt is released.   I don't have a windows compile environment, but maybe someone else does.

The only real change with Version 1.0.1 is the addition of checkpoints.

Premine bad!   Bad premine, bad!     The destruction should take place later this week, after we all decide on a destroyer address.

Looking forward to the blackjack/poker game.

Should be generally the same as compiling litecoin, and even bitcoin, on windows.   Are there some litecoin windows compiling guides around?
