Title: Bitcoin client creating new wallet IDs
Post by: Sailing_Nut on July 01, 2011, 02:39:11 PM
Hi all,

I've been mining for a while (with Phoenix) and have noticed that the Bitcoin client has somehow created two additional wallet IDs.

This is very strange to me. I have done nothing but mining so far.

Is this "normal" behavior? Is it a bug or worse, is it an indication that someone may have hacked my wallet?

TIA!

I think you mean addresses but yup everything sounds normal!

Bitcoin client generates new address after every transaction. So it's normal :)

While it generates new addresses, you can continue to use the old ones as well
