Title: Second gpu is slower than the first one. EVGA Gtx 1070 OC
Post by: MatrixCoinMining on December 03, 2017, 07:57:30 AM
Hi everyone  ;D
So i'm relatively new at this mining journey..  :-\
If i use 1 gtx 1070 (GPU0) it has a hash rate of X per second, then the second gpu is about at least 30% less sometimes 50% less or more.
I tried with ccminer, nicehash, awesome miner, and some other tutorials i found before. It's always the same problem.
I also tried switching the gpu on the motherboard but it's still the second one that's slower (GPU1)

Any idea what could cause this?  ???
This is the settings i see:
Quote
GPU_FORCE_64BIT_PTR 0
GPU_MAX_HEAP_SIZE 100
GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1
GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
GPU_SINGLE_ALLOC_PERCENT 100

Other than that i'm not sure where to look, i used both pci-e x16 slots and all the gear is almost brand new.
Mother board is asus z270

Also where is the option to set a profile picture?
 ;D
Thanks a lot :)

Wrong section buddy, try here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=160.0
Although, mining Bitcoins with GPU are hardly profitable anymore your profit will be gone for electricity costs, I suggest to try your luck at altcoins instead.

You can only change your profile picture once you've reached Full Member

Try with Claymore Dual Miner, EBWF Cuda Miner and Nicehash (download from miner.nicehash.com) . If with all these other miners you are getting the same results try changing the PCIE configuration to X1 in your motherboard BIOS.

I have a similar issue but my third 1070ti would cause the system to restart. Had to clock it lower than the first two.

first of all, put setx before the lines in here to actually set them
Code:
setx GPU_FORCE_64BIT_PTR 0
setx GPU_MAX_HEAP_SIZE 100
setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1
setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
setx GPU_SINGLE_ALLOC_PERCENT 100

second insert your second gpu to x1 slot nearest to the cpu and first gpu in x16 slot

third set the same clocks for both gpu and set the intensity -i 21 in miner bat file
