Do I need to do any work to make my rig secure? Currently it's behind a nat router with private address' in my home network. I also want to display machine data using something like this http://ox.westgrid.ca/temps/ Where should I set up the webserver and what's the best way to get data to it? However, I would definitely as least recommend changing the password for the "user" account from "live" to something that's actually secure. Other than that -- well, it is Debian GNU/Linux, which isn't exactly a security lightweight (it's not going to have the same vulnerabilities as, say, running an unpatched version of Windows XP).
