Bitcoin's price is volatile, and its going up and down since its creation almost. So there is no need to panic about that. In general the price keep increaing even if its dropping down a little bit for some days or weeks, but afte this it go up highly.

Well I think you are wrong because I feel like bitcoin is going to continue to rise and might even reach $13,000 by this month. Bitcoin is always fluctuating so most traders already expects bitcoin to rise and fall and eventually continue to rise back again and this has happened a lot of times already repeatedly.

There is nothing wrong having such opinion on fearing the value of bitcoin. Since bitcoin also have risk in it, it is not a doubt that we would fear that it might drop down unexpectedly due to some factors especially right now when all of us are expecting highly of it.

I agree with you. I think the bitcoin price will drop quite a lot when this rally ends. There was too much good news this week that pushed the price up too high. I think $ 8000 will be the number that bitcoin hit the lowest in the near future.

The bitcoin price was so huge nowadays. $11000 is a huge profit, but nothing to fear because its normal that bitcoin will fork, every user cant speculate or predict when the price will be increasing or decreasing.

Bitcoin can actually surge anytime but it is not because of the continuous pump in bitcoin value that happens in the last few weeks, bitcoin may drop because that's how the cycle goes and if you are familiar enough with this kind of fluctuations you shouldn't be worried and instead wait for the drop because that is an opportunity for investment. Like what is always happening every drop the bitcoin price end up more valuable and a good investment to have.

Even if it drops significally, it will still go back up. We just don't need to panic. More panic leads to wrong decisions. So I will keep my Bitcoins until the future of cryptocurrencies will be known to all people.

Nope it won't happen like that. Let me add that this corrections thing will not affect the bitcoin with very much drastic change. It might just make it drop from to 8-9K USD but not below that. Have you seen the market capitalism that bitcoin has achieved up until now? Its more than 250B USD and its enough for it to keep up that much rates. What will affect it, if it wanted to drop way below then it would be its sudden "investors pulling out" of it. But you ask yourself who would do that, who will ever do that with bitcoin? I mean its for sure not me or you who are the best believer of the bitcoin.

This and many more factors are there which keep up the bitcoin prices all time high. They are literally pushing it further and as speculated by many other people around the community they think its going to be 15K soon and who knows might just 20K next year end. What we have to do is just to keep up the pace of investing strong and unidirectional. :-)

Then time to buy again as soon as it dumps. Actually its the right opportunity to buy cheaper Bitcoin. These days it is rare to happen. Anyway, dumping is normal. Get used to it.  Bitcoin or any other cryptocurrecies are volatile in nature. Wild swings of price happens because it has smaller market. But wait until CME to add Bitcoin on their list. Well practically you should keep calm and never panic and trust the price of bitcoin because if you kept cowering in fear then you will not be able to meet your desired level of returns on you bitcoin investment in which if that kept happening to you then you should just sell your bitcoin if you are afraid of the price fall down that will happen in which we all know that can happen because you are in a buy and sell industry.

Don’t you worry boy, I think the price drop is unavoidable and will repeatedly going to happen as bitcoin continue to evolve. Ironically, what most of trader need is a sudden price plunge to correct, to refill and to refresh its skyrocketing journey. My advice is to just trust bitcoin, many people will pull it down but what doesn’t kill bitcoins makes bitcoin more stronger.  ;)

I think it's hard to dump Bitcoin price once more time at the moment people will not be trapped two time in the same price :)). Bitcoin price decreased one time before when it reached to 11k5$ then dumped to under 10k$ very quickly. The whales will not be able to play this drama once more time cause nobody will be trapped into it anymore at the moment :D. Maybe price of Bitcoin will be dumped soon but not for now, maybe when Bitcoin price reach to a new peak like 15k$ or 20k$ but it always rise back very soon :)

I think it is more on to increasing ..and going up the value of it, until by January. Because it's seasonal and people have more expecting on it.

The price of bitcoin has been staying above ₹$11000. Every user has the same thinking that the price might fall low. In reality with the ongoing price increase I believe that the growth will continue with minor fluctuations and keep moving with the uptrend.

My only regret is that i don't have buyed bitcoin when was $500 :( , if i had bought 10 BTC, now i could have $100.000 , only by investing $5.000

Well, fluctuations are the key nature of bitcoin but I believe it won't face any further dip in this month. The price today is above 11000$ and is growing steadily. I think it now won't drop below than that and will always be rising and keep on moving further achieving greater heights. Additionally, I foresee it to be overhead 13000$ until the end of 2017... So, just keep calm and have faith in it... ;)

the coming listing an CME dec 18th or so will see an influx of institutional money and investors that will cause price to spike with even more force, especially with ability to short btc. Many opportunities to get cheaper coming

It is normal for the price of bitcoin to go down after a price surge. Get used to it and be prepared when there is a huge dip. If you are a long term investor this is a chance to buy bitcoin. My fear is if this bitcoin price becomes stagnant.

It will happen but not "drastically" , the price will surely decrease because of mass selling of Bitcoin, but then again, the investors are always there to buy Bitcoin which will make Bitcoin recover it's price and continue on rallying up, You should not fear it, casual sell off is natural and casual price decrease is natural.

I believe that we have already seen the dip this past week when bitcoin almost reached 12k and then suddenly receded back to around 9800 USD , so i don't think that it is going to dip and therefore go down again. As of now its heading towards the 12k mark and it follows the same momentum, it will even reach 13k before the year ends.

I fear I may need to buy back in soon. I sold waiting for a drop back below 10k but now it’s higher.

Your fears are understandable but they are unfounded. The continual rise of bitcoin does not in any way automatically translate to an inevitable crash in price. Corrections are bound to happen and that is just it. Bitcoin can never see the $5000 level again. I am not sure such a fall will happen again considering the shortage in supply and the hyped usefulness and demand it has.

Just proves that you are really are still a jr member. If you have been here, maybe, just a year, you will be used to it. Bitcoin goes up and down, always. Do not fear the dip, enjoy it. Buy bitcoin whenever those opportunities appear so you can enjoy the bull trend more.

Its normal for the price of bitcoin to go down in a sudden because of its volatility. Why not ride with this feature, many people invest to bitcoin  because they might earn double of their money in just a month or two unlike traditional investments like real estate and stocks.

Once the investors instigate fear and lose their faith in bitcoin, this would spell doom once they start to panic sell. As investors and bitcoin users, we should continue to support bitcoin instead of worry about the dips. It's but normal to experience a price dip or correction especially when the price has gone so high but we must keep the faith that our investments will become fruitful in the future.

I don't think in next few week there will be a big dump in Bitcoin price again :)). It'll only happen when Bitcoin reach to a new peak then the whales will try to dump Bitcoin price after the sold all of their Bitcoin at the highest price of that time then dump the price of Bitcoin to buy it back at the lower price. Few days ago they dumped the price of Bitcoin already so it'll not happen the same in next few weeks, IMO.

Bitcoin price has been corrected recently but not dumped hard because people are buying bitcoin more than what is being sold. So I don't think price will crash from the current point anytime soon, I think next ATH will be $20k before new year  :o

If there will be bigger dump in bitcoin price most of the altcoins might also get dumped hard because almost every crypto has been pumping constantly for last few weeks without any significant crash/correction.

You're going to see a bunch of peaks and valleys on the way to 100k. taking into account moving averages, 25k by april with 50% losses along the way.

Trading bitcoin is a mind game. I predict that the $10k was just a momentarily in 2017, but the result is vice versa, bitcoin can maintain the price. $20k Bitcoin in December is too early, and i expect that its achieve-able in 1-2 years in the future.

for my opinion if there may be have some dumped of bitcoin i think that would be next year but in this year i am not think that it may happen in bitcoin that there must have some dump on it.

Just like fiat money, bitcoin is also fluctuating. The cause of price down of bitcoin is the forks happening. The cryptocurrency's blockchain is being split thus creating more alt coins. During this time, the price of bitcoin is getting lower. This is the best time to buy bitcoin because after several days or weeks the bitcoin price will inflate drastically. As long as there is demand for bitcoin, its price will always go higher and higher and higher. Right now the demand is still growing resulting to the inflation of bitcoin price.

Yes, I totally agree with you. Bitcoin reaches 11k in this week and still going ahead. Market history of bitcoins journey clearly said that it was dropped many times but that again wakeup for records.

Yes, bitcoin don't follow any rules or laws and it also do not accept anyone predictions of how high and low will it go. It moves more than  $1000 dollar up and down in a day and it is really surprising sometimes. Even we do not know the why it is moving so high either way.

I don't have a fear about Bitcoin because I know that on long term the btc price will raise a lot. Now that the price surged in price so much a correction is due and people who invested for short term or margin called LONG should be afraid to not lose their investment in my opinion as the price history of bitcoin showed us that a correction must come after every big spike in price.  ;)

The prediction is wrong.

Bitcoin will not go down suddenly or anytime now because its in the full aggressive mode to rise with the time. Investments are all the time up now and the day trade is fully focused on the bitcoin investment only. There is no currency which is not being trades with the bitcoin because investors know very well that bitcoin is better investment than the others, so they are just trading the alts with it.

This is keeping the perfect balance of the market capitalism for the bitcoin which it has achieved by now. Plus there is complete hype of the bitcoin prices going all up towards the 15K rate in the next month or so. That is why we can keep the faith into it and the unity might just push the bitcoin rates to heavy nodes now.

It's normal to be fearful of the incoming surge, but it might not drop too low. Even so, if the price drops, seize the opportunity to buy at its low value and sell when the exchange rate increases again.

Everyone here is afraid of decrease of Bitcoin value. Even if it happened I would continue to hodl Bitcoin. Bitcoin price has already decreased by 30%-50% many times and it can happen anytime soon. Almost every time it happens because of some kind of events f.e. Bitcoin exchanges ban in China, people cashing out after hard forks are complete etc. I still haven't changed my mind and I think that Bitcoin hasn't reached his peak, we are still far away from it.

Bitcoin has already been to a correction where it reach to $11k and decreases to $9800 for about 3 days lastweek and its price now playing from $10k to almost $12k.I guess its price for now will continue to rise.That was just my prediction but we cant really control bitcoins votality that is why we'll just have to wait to where it goes.Lets just take advantage to buy btc if the price will dump this would be a great opportunity for investments "buy low and sell high strategy.

some people thought this would happen on 6k others thought this would happen on 8k while some even predicted this at 10k but bitcoin has surpassed all the barriers and reached its new high. Still its booming and booming. I feel that correction might not be possible upto such an extent. This is because if you see the market closely the market cap increased equally along with the price.

It could, but I don't think it will dip much. There are a bunch of people just waiting to pounce on a dip, the latest ones have been getting smaller and smaller.

As a matter of facts, the price is continuously going up these days and it's now around 12K. So, there should be no reason to be afraid... However, I'm sure the price will drop to even lower than 8K before the end of the year. That will be the time to step in for many buyers, hoping the price will then go up to 15K. But I can imagine those who have some bitcoins (or even less than 1) are afraid the price will drop. They just want to see the price go up without any bumps.

It's posible for bitcoin's price to go down up to 8k$ in just a few weeks (price correction) but, still after a few weeks or months it would just still go up. Some big investors said that Bitcoin's price would even reach 15000$ before the year ends. - /+ 20% after december would likely happen.

I don`t think that Bitcoin can suddendly drop to 5000$, for example, until 2019 minimum. His capitalization still enough small.

I  think there will likely be a market correction after the CME futures open, which I think is good for the market in general, BTC has shown it can bounce back from price crash over and over again.

You need to understand that bitcoin can't go parabolic line and it is not sustainable long term. And no one knows when this upward trend will stop. Investors are still in stage of "euphoria", Irrational buying that generates a strong rally to push the price even higher. There will be retracement, but you don't need to worry because it will be another perfect opportunity to get into the market and buying bitcoin at a cheap price. Just hold and be patient.

And I also believed that it can't go lower $9k if ever there is a pullback. Because many traders see's this an perfect time to buy, while other's they will think its the last time to act (FOMO) to purchase bitcoin.

I do not believe that bitcoin could fall below $ 8,000. After bitcoin easily overcame $ 11,000 whales are now testing the next record. It can be 13,000 dollars. But then a possible pullback to $ 9000-10000. We will never see a price tag of $ 8,000.

Only time can tell whether your doubts are correct but for the mean time, we all consider this as a speculative claim.
Bitcoin drops from time to time and this is inevitable due to its volatile nature. Considering its price today, Bitcoin could collapse at any moment or it could continue to rise. The ATH from ~11,500 went down to ~9,800 last correction. This is a drastic drop when we are to look at the "value", however it recovered quickly and barely affects holders.

The thing is, when price start to decrease a lot of people actually are preparing money to buy in... so the moment price start to recover, it went directly  go pass previous high.

And think those who put a sh*t load of money into mining, if price will go down below their cost, they will buy the coin instead of mining it - they have money to do so.

The same on the way I think, just like what happened all of the time but still you know what will happen when bitcoin is going down right? There is a correction required in its price at such value, and one can expect in the coming days. Further coming towards your point about Bitcoin falling drastically then there is equal possibility that it may rise, nothing is assured in Bitcoin as value is totally dependent upon buyers and sellers and even the giant holders can make its price shift easily. Further, Bitcoin is highly volatile currency if its price is shoots up in days it is totally acceptable that its price may fall drastically in the coming days.

Personally I hope that bitcoin price will go a little down.. everytime it goes down I buy  a little and hold the rest..... in this year it was a very profitable strategy  ;)

It appears there is always a correction somewhere along the line...I guess one should consider how much they can cope when these corrections happen. I personally believe there's a long way to go yet...but who knows for sure?!

The problem is the pro traders from investment companies. They are the one trading in this manner, same as the stock market, pump and dump to make money for their clients. They have no interest in holding long-term as using it as currency. Newbies are very well advise to be very careful about getting in now.

Well, it might goes down deep following this sudden surge of price, but there is still one other option, which is, it might goes up to a new level of price too.
That 2 things is a probability, and i hope the best probability comes up. But even though the price goes down, i have seen that bitcoin price always rise after it, even to another whole new level. So, you dont need to be afraid of it. Just hold till it reach your moon.

The problem is that for the last few months every natural correction gets reversed by fake Tethers pumping the price back up.

You can go back and look at the charts compared to the release of new Tethers. Every time Bitcoin tries to correct, Tethers come in and pump the price back up.

The price is artificial at this moment. And although I am bullish on Bitcoin long term, this fake Tether pumping needs to collapse, then the price will drop to $5K or lower, and then we can start going up naturally again.

Yeap, I think this is the right moment to convert and take into USD, to later buy again on a better price. Correction is coming.

What you are saying could happen. It happened before and it will again on the future. But one thing's for sure that it will rise again.

You can expect, even greater volatility with such a take-off in the price. So be prepared to buy if the price drops dramatically

If the price spikes in December, it will come with a flood of buy/sell orders.  But: remember what happened in Nov when the BTC fork was cancelled?  The BTC blockchain was clogged up for quite a while.  If a spike happens again, buy/sell orders might sit for hours (days?) before 6+ confirmations are generated.  If that sort of processing delay becomes common-place (every time there is a sharp spike in price); it could lead to some erosion of faith in BTC.  Also, with institutional investors coming online soon, that's only going exacerbate the issue (due to increased volume).

My guess is that Core will need to increase the number of transactions/sec that BTC can handle...and that means another fork, probably in 2018.

Increasing prices mean that the demand is still strong. And IMO, it is going to hit new peaks, once the CME and CBOE start the trading of Bitcoin futures in their exchanges. Bitcoin will become mainstream once these exchanges start derivative trading. The big bulls will enter the market and take BTC to the outer space.

due to mainstream acceptance, the price of bitcoin surge up high and most likely the satisfied early adoptors of btc gain profit that is why there are ups and downs in the chart but in the end if we all believe that btc is a secured investment, all of us will never convert to fiat.

When price correction surely many will make more money and price will just go back to its previous due to high buy demand because of the cheaper price. Price volatility is very normal when it comes to bitcoin this we know very well especially the ones that have higher ranks here, so just relax and keep your faith up for the price is just playing its old game (the up and down game). No one really knows when the correction would come. This is a speculative market, it can happened today, or next week. The best thing to do is just check the price regularly so that we will know when the dump is coming. But fear not this price going down, its a good buying point and accumulate more bitcoin.

My thoughts is that there will be correction, but I don't think it will go down significantly. And as I have said, investors are waiting for this to happened, so that they can buy bitcoin at discounted price. But don't just dump your coin, just wait till it top before making the decision to sell.

There is no cause for alarm as regards to the price of bitcoin,  in recent times it has been strongly bullish movement, pullback or correction then upward movement again, recalled during Chinese government clamped down on exchanges the price went dip  and recovered and obviously the price is very predictive and hopefully the bullish sentiment will continue after this present price corrections.

My fear is i can afford to buy because is to much expensive its price, maybe i will continue my campaign i join then save my earning from it, then collect until i have a lots of bitcoin. And when i have enough coin i will buy one bitcoin at a time until i have many collecting crypto then i try to invest.

You shouldn't worry about it as correction has occurred and has been passed a few days ago. Bitcoin is likely to reach a higher price instead of fall down again due to "bitcoin futures" will pump the market and you may see the price suddenly spike and reach another ATH. Honestly, nothing to fear if you have invested in bitcoin simply because of the nature of bitcoin (limited supply and high demand) which ensure the price will always grow over time, it has been proven since the first time bitcoin launched to the market.
There are lots of people regret their decisions to sell bitcoin when it reaches $5000 or even $10,000 as bitcoin price recovered within 24 hours. Have you ever seen some people predict bitcoin will reach $100K or even $1 Millon in 2020? So, there is no reason to fear about correction as it's a normal thing in crypto-world, just holding your bitcoin.

I think you should not fear when the price fall down because it is just a normal thing in bitcoin that’s why it is volatile, the price goes down and up. If your fear is the for the price to go down permanently, it would not happen unless all investors withdraw all their investment but it is unlikely to happen since investor are getting more and more profit from bitcoin so the price of bitcoin will continue to rise.

I also think a correction is coming very soon. I am not sure when and I am skeptical on selling my Bitcoin as it might keep going up. But this is the game we're all playing lol.. to attempt to see the correction points. I wouldn't be surprised to see it fall back down to $5500-7000 range before soaring back up.

There will not be any significant correction in the cost of bitcoin.

I will not rule out a correction. Once the derivative trading starts in CME, the short sellers may attempt to bring down the price of BTC. Derivative trading opens all sort of possibilities. There can be a pump and dump, or there can be a major correction. But at least in the beginning, the prices will go up. 

A wave (ups and downs) is a fact of life....nothing (including BTC) can only go up forever....
But it's getting more attention and momentum (and of course good news), so even if a dump happens due to a correction/cash out for profit...., that'll be to give more power for the coming pump.

Don't be too quick to leave the moon rocket in fear of an imminent correction. Bitcoin has shown great dominance in the past. We've seen it go through several downtrends and still coming out top every single time. Better to hedge some and enjoy the BTC moon ride Imho.

You are not the only one who has these fears. I suppose many Bitcoin holders that keep many BTC coins in their wallets check the crypto price several times a day and even create their own graphs. Yes, the correction will happen, but no one can tell you what will be the price of Bitcoin when this correction comes.

It may happen, but I think not too low. But I still expect for it to happen so that I could finally go all in.

There is a chance that after december the bitcoins value will decrease because today there are so many traders who are actually exchanging their coins because its christmas time that's why the value is keep on increasing.

If that would happen then we have very good sign to buy more bitcoin and hold it for a good time. Ive heard a lot of news that bitcoin could reach to 15,000$ before the end of this year and around 20,000$ next year of the rumor is true we have to buy more and more bitcoins for a long term.

Do you expect that your billion dollar worth of bitcoin will disseminate its esteem when cost go south? Don't you stress kid, I think the value drop is unavoidable and will over and over going to occur as bitcoin keep on evolving. Amusingly, what the vast majority of dealer require is a sudden value dive to amend, to refill and to revive its soaring excursion. My recommendation is to simply trust bitcoin, many individuals will pull it down however what doesn't murder bitcoins makes bitcoin the king.

Yes, bitcoin is getting very expensive and reaching the price of 11,000$ - 15,000$ and above. My only fear is that bitcoin price will also decrease if bitcoin price increase it even falls because of the market value and demand of it.  But the things that I am too fearing is the bitcoin’s limitation; we know that bitcoin is limited to 21 million.

due to mainstream acceptance, the price of bitcoin surge up high and most likely the satisfied early adoptors of btc gain profit that is why there are ups and downs in the chart but in the end if we all believe that btc is a secured investment, all of us will never convert to fiat.

There is nothing wrong having such opinion on fearing the value of bitcoin. Since bitcoin also have risk in it, it is not a doubt that we would fear that it might drop down unexpectedly due to some factors especially right now when all of us are expecting highly of it.

Let's be a little optimistic, because the price was at 1,000 dollars last year, so it is natural for him to rise to 13000 $ by the end of the year.
bitcoin dropped after 20 Dec and will be final drop for bitcoin. price start to repump and now price is stable above 13,000$
we cant say bitcoin price dump because it is up more than 12000.
2018 will be bitcoin year.

this is only normal happenings in the world of cryptocurrency. in every rise there will be a fall or it can be stable or not. but the fact that bitcoi n price significantly continuous to rise. but it is maybe because of upcoming rumors fork this december.. expected price will go higher than 10k usd and be stable.. hahaha bitcoin now is ver sttong . dont panic if you plan to buy and invest as now the bitcoin is just starting

Bitcoins price is volatile and unpredictable so the fear of falling the price due to its sudden rise can be normal for everyone.Its inevitable  for bitcoin to fall,it depends on the demand in the market.But its just a pump and dump nature of bitcoin so theres nothing to be fear of.Its current price still high although it fall but not much,be fear if falls to 8k below.Besides keep collect more of it and relax cause a brighter future for bitcoin will come.
