I just recovered 4 Dell 870W PSU (NPS-885AB) from old servers in my office and i want tu use it to power GPU. I found a lot informations about the 750watt model but nothing for the 870w :-\ . I'd like to do the same kind of DIY as in this tutorial http://www.xodustech.com/projects/bitcoin-mining-farm (http://www.xodustech.com/projects/bitcoin-mining-farm) but the 870w's conectors are not the same : https://i.imgur.com/UpEhydf.jpg https://i.imgur.com/uW6k1HW.jpg I tried to start one of the power supplies but I created a short circuit :-[ Has anyone ever used this PSU to power GPUs ? Thx for your reply , i found this scheme but i'm not sure this is the same as my PSU. Because the conector is mounted in the other direction. Indeed when I tried to connect the pins as in the diagram above (assuming that the connectors were mirrored) it seems to me that I created a short circuit. I continue my research also. It was my idea initially. I took my multimeter but when I tried to start the power supply I create a short circuit and now when I plug it there is an electric noise and the LED at the back does not turn on anymore. So i i'm pretty sure that i killed one of my PSU :-[ https://imgur.com/wpgvwkZ I continued to search but I can not find the wiring diagram of this model. Maybe I should post directly to the Dell forum ? Found only similar diagram for 750w PSU but it seems the pins are different.
