It's almost the new year, and 2018 will be our MOST EXCITING year to date! So many exciting new projects and collaborations, with thousands more coins circulating the planet! And the first thing on our list for 2018 is to auction off the space for YOUR NAME or initials to be minted on THOUSANDS of our NEW 2018 Bitcoin Penny™ Commemorative Coins!

As most of you know, our inaugural 2015 Bitcoin Penny™ Commemorative Coin had the mint mark "CJB" minted below the date on the front of the coin. Every year since, we've auctioned that mint mark space to the highest bidder, and every year we have a TON of fun doing it!

Previous winners include:

DaveF, who chose the name "DAVE" to be minted on our 2016 Bitcoin Penny™ Commemorative Coins! (That's why our 2016 Bitcoin Penny™ Commemorative Coin is commonly called the DAVE coin!)

Greenplastic, who chose the phrase "IRIE" to be minted on our 2017 Bitcoin Penny™ Commemorative Coins! (That's why our 2017 Bitcoin Penny™ Commemorative Coin is commonly called the IRIE coin!)

Anti-Sniping Rule / Grace Period: There will be a grace period of ten (10) minutes following the last bid. When ten (10) minutes pass without a new bid, the auction will be officially ended. For example, if someone places a bid on Wednesday, December 13 at 2:55PM, then the auction will extend until 3:05PM. If another bid is placed at 3:03PM, then the auction extends until 3:13PM, and so forth.

I would like to bid .12 BTC, assuming that if I am  the winning bid I can pay the cash equivalent according to coinbase's BTC closing price, of the last day of the auction.

Id like the last three characters to be lowercase, it makes all the difference!

The last three characters of "OGily" are shown in the lowercase of our classic BP font. (The lowercase is simply a smaller version of the uppercase.) To make the last three characters appear in the common Arial-like lowercase design, we would need to change fonts to a common Arial-like design, and we can't do that. However, we are happy to make the "ily" as small as possible to stand apart more from the "OG," if you like.

Yes, after receiving the email at 2:51PM that DaveF had replied (and likely placed a bid), I couldn't log in at all...until around 3:30PM. Once I was able to log in at 3:30PM, I almost declared an extension of 30 minutes, but then I decided to just wait another 30 minutes to see if there was another bid. No additional bids by 4PM, so the official winner is DaveF. (You'll win it next year, GP.)
