Title: Buying Your XPM (PrimeCoin) - For LTC
Post by: Online24o0n on July 07, 2013, 09:15:18 PM
I want to buy your PrimeCoin you mined, Ill be paying in LTC, no I will not be paying retail or an absurd price, its new, we start with new prices, its not worth anything yet, so dont ask for a ridiculous price.

PM me with how much you want to sell and we can hash out deal, we can use a escrow if someone has a wallet, or I will send first to reputable members only, otherwise we will do small batches just to make sure.

PPC right now is 1.8 btc per 1k - 1.8btc = 50.5 LTC.

Primecoin is brand new, back in the day when coins came out we started at around 5ltc per 1k, it usually ran up to 40 or 5o ltc per 1k, but latelty people think they can charge that right off the bat.

The devs also stated they can retract the blocks, hence losing what you bought anyway, so this also drives the price down at the moment, not that there is a price for this coin yet.

So keep that in mind if you have PrimeCoin to sell me. ;)

none of this affects the price of primecoin.

I've got 20.32 XPM. Submit your offers in the forum. Pre-order only, as above, these coins mature.

I think it will be on cryptsy, after first mature coins appear. :)

Been mining since it launched, not a single fucking coin. This coin is bullshit. The rich getting richer >:(

Mining this coin is hard.  I wouldn't sell mine for less than 0.01B each XPM
If you think that's expensive, wait till it hits Cryptsy...

1 xpm @ 0.01BTC seems like a fair price.

For the amount of effort it takes to mine this coin, it's the only fair price. This coin you'll be lucky to get 20-40 XPM a day mining at 100% on multiple computers.

Yeah 0.01btc seems like the most fair price, I've beein going for ~16 hours at ~100PPS and just got 19.

We need someone with the know-how to make a pool.

Hmmm this is the first I've heard of this coin and now I am intrigued...

So this is entirely CPU based mining?

Yep for now. All built in wallet solo mining. All pool and miner software will need to be rewritten for it.

Definitely would like a pool.  I've been very lucky with 2 blocks within an hour on a 3 core @ 3.1 GHz!

I have 120.42 xpm, still immature.
Hard to mine so i'm selling at :  100 xpm = 1BTC

Seems there is a ton of luck involved. Either there are close to 1000 people mining this already or somebody has some serious power pointed at it. Blocks are exceeding target time

Interesting... my mining rig CPUs aren't doing anything right now anyways, so I guess I will get this set up soon.

How many XPM will there be?

3000 something blocks, so about 3 days

How many XPM will there be?

~50.000 mined already ATM.

So there isn't a limit?

I'd advise doing it fast to get what you can. The difficulty is on a constant uptrend so far. Setup is very easy too just download the wallet and enter setgenerate true (core amount) in the console and you're off to the races

Actually if blocks are on target it will take 2 days to mature

Hmmm maybe I'm too much of a n00b here, but how is everyone seeing their speeds?  I typed in "setgenerate true 2" and it just has a blank line after I press enter.  Just have a dual-core on this computer, but was planning on setting up my quad-core, too... might get lucky and get a block.

Hmmm... it's been going for about 15 minutes or so...  and shows zero.  What am I doing wrong?

Still buying, PM if you have any you want to sell, shoot me a price with it too. I understand they are hard to mine and take a while to mature, but it dosent justify the outrages prices, not yet anyway considering the launch thread from the devs state that PrimeCoin can be retracted, killing the coin.

Wow.  I want to sell you some, but it looks like I don't have any decent computers to mine with!

My i5 is only getting 4 PPS and my laptop (AMD quad core A8) only gets 2 PPS lol

I'm not sure if 1 XPM/0.01BTC is a fair price or not. The supply is quite limited and seems hard for folks to mine-you can't even mine it with EC2 AFAIK.  I think I may hold onto mine and not sell any of them; I'm kind of excited to be in on something that looks quite promising in the very beginning.

Managed to mine 80 XPM before difficulty exploded yesterday. Gonna hold them at least until they hit an exchange. I think .01BTC is pretty darned cheap for them right now considering they are hard as heck to mine and take forever to mature. I'm thinking it won't take long at all for them to hit .1BTC or higher once they hit an exchange.

They're only CPU mine-able right now and with difficulty at 7+...well...they are just really hard to get. I'm feeling fairly confident they will quickly skyrocket past .01BTC when an exchange eventually picks them up.
