IT IS POSSIBLE THAT DEPENDING ON YOUR BANK THIS WIRE WILL GO THROUGH INTERMEDIARY BANKS WHO WILL ALSO CHARGE AN ADDITIONAL FEE

How do i find out if intermediary banks will be used and if additional fees will be charged? Will my bank know?

Is there any upper limit to these transfers? specifically with regard to withdrawals.

Yes, international wires are charged at 24 cents per kilometer. Now, do you understand why bitcoin is the future?

Your bank should know, often they won't tell you though.
We had this come up with a British bank that didn't mention it until the customer went back for a 3rd time.
They try to make it look like it's cheaper to send it than it really is. It looks like about 50% of the time they will use an intermediary and most of the time (or all) that bank will tack on a fee.
In one case HSBC used another HSBC branch and charged something like $40 USD.

Seriously who wouldn't use Bitcoin with fees like this.
Not to mention we answer emails at 3 am on weekends.
