Title: Mining rig help please.
Post by: Storm8756 on December 05, 2017, 01:45:08 AM
I am looking to build for my first a 12 GTX 1060 3gb mining rig with a biostar TB250-BTC PRO motherboard, Ballistix Sport
LT 8GB Single DDR4, Pentium Processor G4400 3.3 GHz, with a 1200watt PSU Gold. Does anyone see anything that wouldn’t be compatible?

Which cards a you planning to get? If they have an 8-pin VGA connecter, there are not enough PCi-E ports on a 1200 W PSU for 12 cards.

Yes it's totally compatible. You should consider which OS, Linux is no problem. There are some references may help you:

If he plans to mine ETH, I think it could be fine. Because mining ETH, each 1060 just draws about 75W, so 1 PCI-E cable could handle 2 GPUs.
