Title: Buy up what you can before Dec.10

I predict a ton of money being dumped into bitcoin starting Monday, December 11.
Mainly because CBOE isn't a new player here. They've been around forever (1973), and are a trusted exchange. The people that have a slight interest in BTC, but are skittish about the methodologies to get onboard will buy in if they're a customer of CBOE.

I don't tgink so! For me I expecting great after the fork. Well, have many predictions and making some patterns for bitcoin but the truth is we don't know tomorrow what bitcoin is. Those are only prediction that has many difference when it comes in that day. To day as the fork not yet started well the price is continue to rise but I believe after fork this is the great dump for btc well great opportunity to buy.

Isn't a new player in Bitcoin? Oh...isn't a new player in investing...ok.

Yeah, there probably will be some investment in Bitcoin. It might not be overnight though. See, each of the firms offering the futures need to buy a reserve of the asset to cover their trades. That's the inflow this guy is talking about.

The downside is that with the futures market you can short the instrument (bitcoin in this case) and basically earn money when it goes down. Also, you can invest only some fraction of money with the use of a leverage. Both those faculties I foresee as a great danger for bitcoin growths longterm. They give great flexibility to banksters to control the price without actually accumulationg BTC. The same will happen to BTC that is happening daily to gold and silver markets: financial intruments and non-physical metals (valued the multitudes of a value of all gold and silver in existence) will be traded daily with the ultimate goal to keep the price controlled.

i don't know how good these futures markets are going to be for bitcoin really. i think it may go south even for a while when they start up their markets. these types of market are good for bitcoin's publicity for a while when they are introduced and people see bitcoin is a real and viable option for investing, not what the media has always been spreading FUD about it.
in any case i am going to enjoy any kind of short term rise that news like this is going to lead to. it may even lead to bitcoin ETF being finally accepted by SEC too and another rally happens.

I think you misunderstood the news, my friend. It is not about the fork happening, but about the introduction of bitcoin futures market. They are completely different things. It is like commenting the orange juice in a thread devoted to apples, or commenting on ethereum in a bitcoin thread :)

I am inclined to believe that Bitcoin will be behaving differently in the market even if there would already be the futures contracts for those that wanted to earn money without getting into Bitcoin. Basically, this is just like predicting or if you want we can call futures as a form of gambling. it would then be interesting how futures can affect the growth of Bitcoin...but I guess that it might even stabilizes its high volatility rate. The advantage here is that Bitcoin is now slowly accepted by those in the finance and banking sectors as a legitimate currency and store of value. This is just one of the many developments in Bitcoin's journey and how the details will happen can be supplied by history.

I'm still waiting for a huge correction here, hope that Bitcoin will still go down to $9,000 before December 11.

I was excited at at first.

But now after this run up I think it's a huge pump and the same guys pumping it are going to play the short side on the futures market and cash in when BTC drops to $3K.

Well besides this the CME is looking forward in investing in Bitcoins and introducing bitcoins future at the start of December 18! Thus its 110% sure that the price of bitcoins will surger above anything that one can ever imagine so yes this is a really bad time to sell off bitcoins if you do have a bunch because after a short while everyone will be immensely profited from this :) and thus sudden surge might put you in a remorse of selling the bitcoins before hand thus! Lets just hold on our bitcoins and buy whatever we can :)
