I am sure that many, many traders are presently (Sunday December 5th [in Asia]) waiting for the next pump and dump on the Bitcoin. I am just reluctant to buy back at the present highest price. What's your opinion?

I have to add: I don't mean a dump of thousands of dollars, I mean a small dump, a few percent. I did this many times and it always worked fine.

yes, I agree with your opinion, everyone is waiting for pump and dump. and I predict the bitcoin will dump will only happen at the end of december. and it's a good time to buy bitcoin. although still too expensive, but bitcoin is unlikely to fall below $ 10000.

Anything below $11'000 is good to get in again. I went right to the top at the last pump and don't feel bad not to be with the next one, I have already added more funds for when the next dump is going to happen.

Just like me I am also waiting for it because sometimes I feel good when Bitcoin get dumps because I know that in thr next day it will somehow pump but this time doubled. So my money or the bitcoin in my wallet somehow increase and earn even if I didn't do anything. And ofcourse people are waiting for it too because they somehow use that strategy in order for thei bitcoin to grow too.

Yup, agreed everyone is waiting for pump and dump. I think during christmas bitcoin will go down and during mid jan it will be high. Let's see what will happen

Why waiting for pump and dump? It's just wrong to be always focused on that and too much predictions based on nothing and then you lose some other things out of your scope. Just watch the market and have your own strategy that covers as many options as possible and be focused on your own goal. Currently price is changing all the time and you can't predict all directions it will go. Be more relaxed.

This is very difficult for those who don't have bitcoin in their wallet because i think the conspirators tried their best to dump bitcoin from China ban, JP Morgan, Banks, the fork, and lately the so called price corrections in which all are failed attempt. All of these are just made bitcoin becomes more strong and stable in which i believed no body can stop bitcoin now of making the price value rise up, so if i were you guys buy now and be onboard before its too late because the speculated value before this year end will be at $14,000.  :-* :-*

If you're hoping for a quick dump, you've got a long wait coming. Bitcoin presently has a very confident market outlook and thinking it'll come any lower than $11000 is a pipe dream.

$10,000 was the benchmark for many to sell off. The next major benchmark would be $20,000 and that isn't likely before the end of the year and even at that, you'd likely buy at $17000 or $18000.

Looking at the market, that pump has rather put the coin an a pedestal that makes the effects of any dumping minimal. That is going to be the trend in the foreseeable future.

Like the 51 percent attack, it'll take a lot to have a significant dumping effect on bitcoin.

There has not been a known 51% attack on Bitcoin, ever.

OP, pump and dumps almost never favour the people who attempt to hop onto them.

The people that profit are the whales who orchestrate pump and dumps, not the new traders who leap in - almost all of those traders lose in the end.  It's basically gambling.

I think soon will pump up to 12 thousand dollars and then will begin a great fall, which all takes so long.

and there is no reason for what you said here. no indication of it. there is more of rumor about price falling in the weekends but in fact it is always a coincidence because bitcoin market is not like stocks market, it is both global and also 24/7 market. people may even trade it more in the weekends since nobody has anything to do and bitcoin trading is like a second job for many!

I dnt think that the thing dump will happen soon.its the ending of the year.yes i know there is no rltn between btc and the ending of the year.but im just saying in the next year we can hope for the pump of btc.and i think it will happen soon.but for the dump you may wait for a while or long time cz nobody can predict about the right time of falling and rising of btc

I really think there will be correction before we can go in a big pump again, as we can see that the price had a sudden stop in the $11,800 it is fluctuating up and down at the same point right now if we can experience another bullish run this month of December we might see another All Time High of $12,000 mark value but this is too much for the price of bitcoin it will sure make a Dip to gain a momentum to up higher once more.

It is really a shaky feeling about the sudden pump and dump of bitcoin price. But we are all hoping and waiting for a pump till Christmas. Maybe it could fall but not a dump.

Yes, we can enter the market now. Most people are expected to be the bottom line of 10K's price for bitcoin. I also think it's hard to get any lower. Now the cost of miners can almost calculate the price of bitcoins. Unless there is a big technical risk, there will be a large number of coal miners out of work.

We will constantly see price fluctuations and with bitcoin being valued so high it will have bigger fluctuations I don't know if the value will have a bigger impact on people buying and selling expecially people that are new to bitcoin. Just make sure that you have money aside for when it does dip.

Easy for every rich person to do Pump and Dump. By throwing a little money to make a dump, the price will certainly move slightly down. And one of the reasons is that many big traders do pump and dump like you. As long as we do not lose, it does not matter throwing a little money.

I think dump will happen sometime in december maybe this is because of bitcoin future, but from time to time we see a minor dump and with that it is something that we need to capitalize on, i actually buy even if it is not that big of a dump but sell when it hits the price that i am targeting.

I would buy! I think BTC will definitely keep growing. maybe 15k by the end of the year. But you decide :)

From time to time the bitcoin is really difficult to predict because in this year there's many happen that the bitxoin going to dump most in the months of ber but still the bitcoin value is fluctuating so it is pump and now it is the highest value from now and i think sooner that the bitcoin will going dump again but the dumping value of bitcoin is lesser than the puming value of it.

I think BTC will gradually increase, it is difficult to have a pump as before.

With bitcoin futures trading expected in second half of December, everyone hopes that price will go to the moon. Logically however it is very likely that price can actually dump by then, so that the big investors can get it. Next week will be very interesting.

There really numbers of investors here who are waiting for that pump and dump but I'm pretty much sure that many also are praying that the value of bitcoin no longer drop and instead continue appreciating. Many bitcoin earners do not hold their coins for a long period because they need to convert it for their finances and its really painful for them to experience dump while investors are taking advantage to buy bitcoin of course there is always a pros and cins of every situation

I think it will still going to happen :D im also waiting that time again (i will buy at dip ) :D buy and sell that time was really good to have a profit but must know how it works so theres no a problem , but i noticed that every time that the bitcoin dump a littel bit or theres some hours only bitcoin dump like 3-5 hrs dumping and then suddenly the price will really going to boom again , higher than the value before it dump.

I'm not sure about the pump and dump because bitcoin has bee fluctuating ever since and if ever it was dumping back then it also was not dumping like those other altcoins who dumps a lot.  I heard there will be a couple of forks coming in the month of December (which is this month) and most investors or traders are waiting for that to happen.

I think Bitcoin price is now enough.I think End of the January price will be around 20k$ to 22k$.So, this is the best time to buy bitcoin if you want to make profit.This is my opinion.Before buying make own decision.Thanks

that is the thing I often do, just waiting for the pump and the dump and not waiting too long for a long-term investment, although the luck is only a little, but it will be great if it is often done.

pumping and dumping are very important in terms of bitcoin because it can affect of the bitcoin in the industry or in economics it affect the block chain all area that bitcoin territory will affected if the value of bitcoin will become dump i'm sure that there's many people got panic and at the same time they think about the selling of bitcoin and if the price of bitcoin will pumping they think about holding

I am losing my BTC because of my trade with fiat. I'm guessing BTC will fall when it's touched $ 10K. my prediction is wrong and i am sorry to have sold it.
I recommend to hold BTC as much as 2018 will exceed this.

Be smart and track price good  next pump and dump happen fast and you must have read cash to buy/sell and earn good profits .

According to the information spread in the network on December 23  may occur another hardfork  in the bitcoin network - Bitcoin Lightning (LBTC).

this is what we call as hold to death, we never know when pump and dump will be done. what we do is just wait for the right time and price jump. I think it's a shame if playing bitcoin at a small price is better you waste tens of dollars to get millions of dollars. I'm pretty sure in 2018 bitcoin will increase very rapidly than before

Become a rich on the future or nothing, that's the way of being investor and it's fit for bitcoin because as long as bitcoin exist, it always shows a promising value from year to year.
For me personally, I keep my btc at least until 2020 since Oxford said that bitcoin will reach $ 100.000 !

pumping and dumping is the deciding factor to see how the coin moves forward, but it may take a while to see pumping and dumping coins. as a coin holder should always see the price movement of the coin because it will determine your income.

Definitely yes, I guess we are all are waiting for it to takes place most especially the traders. Everyone now wanted to accumulate their own Bitcoin as it is expected increase more before this year end and also next year. If this happens altcoin will be affected also so it will be a good time to buy the altcoins to be added to your portfolio. The question now is when it will going to happen?

Arbitrage is my best way to make money but last movements on dump/pump prices were too fast I can not catch it

I personally don’t like to say trade bitcoin. Though you can be successful at it o find it is hard to do so, or st least it is for me. I also don’t have a ton of money into bitcoin (the majority of my investment is in bitcoin) but it isn’t a ton so if I were to say trade bitcoin I wouldn’t make huge profits blessings t dumped thousands of dollars and then swings back up. I like to juts Goldman my bitcoin and attempt to daybtrade altcoins. But to each there own and I know day trading bitcoin can be done into just indoor for me currently.

It seems that Bitcoin beats all possible and impossible records. I might only guess but I am sure today all Bitcoin holders will not sleep and constantly check its rate. The growth is amazing. I cannot call it even a pump - it is flying up like a rocket! I wonder how soon will be the dump also.

It did. Even in such a fashion, that people don't see new all time highs as something interesting anymore - it has become far too common.

Because of the future markets going live today? Not sure if we'll be seeing much interesting happening as I believe that the future market will be traded in a conservative manner initially. People expecting that it will make this market explode in value overnight will be disappointed for sure. It will take time before we start seeing in what manner the market reacts.

I am fairly sure that much of current levels is purely dedicated to the acceptance of the future markets. It's insanely bullish if we think about how institutional capital will be able to steer this market to newer highs, but on the other hand, I don't rule out that we're close to the temporary top already since current levels might have the future market counted in already.
