Title: NZ bitcoiners Post by: gski on July 09, 2013, 12:54:23 AM Just wondering if there are many people from New Zealand that use this board. Specifically if anyone has used bitnz.com - it looks pretty legit but nervous about sending larger amounts of coins through it.
Also wondering how keen fellow kiwis would be about a group buy of USB miners? I personally do not have the credibility/reputation to start one of these pools but am interested if others have. There are a few of us around but they mostly keep quiet for some reason (myself excluded). Specifically if anyone has used bitnz.com - it looks pretty legit but nervous about sending larger amounts of coins through it. I don't like the way he cloaks his domain, if he wanted to handle my business he should not be afraid to say who he is. I have heard other people have had dealings with him though. The order book there is so small though you would be pressed to transfer any large amounts of bitcoins. Also wondering how keen fellow kiwis would be about a group buy of USB miners? I personally do not have the credibility/reputation to start one of these pools but am interested if others have. I have already run two until I hit 'MtGox Problems' (http://mineforeman.com/2013/06/21/more-info-on-the-mtgox-temporary-hiatus-on-u-s-dollar-withdrawals/) but I plan to start up a third some times this week, I am just updateing my systems. Keep an eye on http://mineforeman.com/ I will be anouncing it there. Title: Re: NZ bitcoiners Post by: gski on July 09, 2013, 02:30:06 AM Cheers Neil!
I have seen plenty of Aussie activity and am a bit jelly :( Title: Re: NZ bitcoiners Post by: greenbone on July 09, 2013, 03:29:58 AM Hi gski
probably the most active NZ based bitcoin discussion is on the Gameplanet forums, specifically within this thread (http://www.gpforums.co.nz/showthread.php?s=&postid=9818564#post9818564) thats been going since Jun 2011 quite a few users on GP have used bitnz with no issues ... deposits take a while to show though. quite often people will sell directly from the GP thread also, which is where Ive purchased most of mine in the past Title: Re: NZ bitcoiners Post by: doof on July 09, 2013, 03:39:50 AM Just leaving Queenstown. This place would be great for keeping my mining rigs cool!

South Islander here with a mere 3x 5970s running with some funds and desire to somehow invest in a local co-op. Title: Re: NZ bitcoiners Post by: thebonenz on November 08, 2015, 05:30:03 AM I'm a Kiwi! but live in Aus atm.
Considering coming home next year and looking into miners at home atm. Is it ridiculously hard to get gear in NZ? Title: Cash In Post by: tgacomp on April 04, 2018, 08:48:59 PM Is there anywhere to cash in coins in NZ now that Cryptopia has stopped NZDT?
Thanks, Steve Title: Re: NZ bitcoiners Post by: Caelanpelley on April 06, 2018, 10:17:45 AM New zealand is also a bitcoin developing country. The installation of the bitcoin system is a matter of course. To dig a bitcoin must use a PC with a high VGA configuration, or a dedicated bitcoin machine running the reverse software. Thanks to the bitcoin digger you can get some bitcoin or virtual currency in line with the effort you spend.
