It's a brilliant idea, and I support teaching kids about crypto - especially in time for Christmas - BUT get your own blockchain. People are trying to work. My company has deadlines and clients trying to do ICOs, we are shut down. That Ethereum can be basically killed by a worm or an app going viral is a huge black mark against the technology.

Where is the leadership from the Ethereum Foundation, saying "we can fix this, everything is going to be OK?"

The crypto kitties is really frustrating because there are lots of backlogs on the ethereum network now and it really really annoying.

Exactly. Only thing Vitalik went to say was that he likes the idea, no comments on the network congestion..

This d-app game proves that the ethereum network cant handle huge transactions in a day, another reason for me not to hold ethereum for a long investment.

This is the reason why i dont trust ethereum's network, been trading ethereum but just for short trades dont have intentions to keep this coin for a longer.

Cryptokitties is an absolute pain in the ass to those of us who use Ether for normal transactions. All my transactions under about 25 GWEI are being rejected. 2 weeks ago I could do 1 GWEI transactions guaranteed each time, now the fee I have to pay is more than 25x more! Granted the fees are still less than $0.50, but it's a massive annoyance.

I agree it's a little frustrating, but this is a great stress test for the system.

If ETH is really going to take off then it will have to deal with this and more in the future. It's just a kick up the arse and ETH developers need to get it sorted.

I have faith they will sort this congestion out within a few weeks max, and they will learn from it.

frankly, I did not think that the ether network is so easy to put. Nonsense :o. Because of this, the price of the ether can fall dramatically. I already lost confidence in him.
