Title: 10 x ASICMiner USBs mining fast in Windows (3.4GH/s) but slow in Linux (900MH/s) Post by: fewerlaws on July 09, 2013, 12:38:06 PM I cannot seem to get my ASICMiner USB Block Erupters to mine quickly in GNU/Linux on my dual-boot system which also runs Windows 7 Pro. I am using cgminer 3.3.0 in Windows, and cgminer 3.3.1 in GNU/Linux.
In Windows, each of my 10 USB Block Erupters always gets about 334 MH/s. In GNU/Linux, they get anywhere from 0 to 334MH/s, but the average is around 100MH/s. I am using this 10 port USB hub: Dyconn 10 Port USB 3.0 Power Hub (HUB10B) http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIA1F80RS7777 This hub can put out 900mA of current per port, which is plenty to power each USB Block Erupter. Has anyone else experienced a similar problem? Does anyone have ideas on how to fix this? Try cgminer 3.1.1 and see if that helps.

Try cgminer 3.1.1 and see if that helps. Is that how you solved your problem? Treating each miner as a serial device uses more CPU horsepower. |
