Title: Bitcoin gold
Post by: riteshramjaran on December 06, 2017, 12:18:51 AM
Hello!

Bitcoin Gold is a fork of Bitcoin, sharing its history up until the block height 491407 (around October 24, 6 am UTC). If you have held bitcoins before this block, you will have the same bitcoin gold balance as your bitcoin balance (at the time of the fork)..

Remember:

Bitcoin Gold is not Bitcoin. It merely uses bitcoin's history similarly to the case of Bitcoin Cash. This process will not affect your Bitcoin wallet at all.
Follow these steps to claim the Bitcoin Gold!

Step one: Create a wallet at http://gobitcoingold.eu
Step two: There will be generated a 12 words recovery phrase, note this down!
Step three: Verify your existing Bitcoin wallet.
Your Bitcoin Gold address will be generated.

If the link above doesn't work you can copy and paste the following into your browser: gobitcoingold.eu

Yeah, smells scammy indeed. In addition OP is flooding entire forum with this crap (reporting to mods).

@all others use some trusted wallets instead ( e.g as per my guide here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2347158 )

Guys please do not try to your bitcoin golds before Bitcoin Gold Official account announces an official wallet. We have seen many people's coins were stolen because of scammers.

Check the link above.  I used coinomi without any issues ... but if you have segwit address ( beginning with 3 ) it won't work .... and I have no clue how to get BTG from segwit addresses.

It would be better to shift your bitcoins to another address before providing your private key to anyone.
In this particular case, it's a total scam trying to find the private keys of a loaded wallet.
