Title: 2013-07-11 Laissez Faire Books: Bitcoin and Digital Currencies
Post by: aigeezer on July 09, 2013, 10:48:49 PM
"Description:

You have some misgivings about our current financial system and are intrigued about Bitcoin. You almost certainly also have a lurking doubt that somehow there is something wrong with your relationship with “money.” You recognize that “money” has somehow become your master, taking more of your time than you wish to give. This is why the contents of this book will come as a bit of a surprise to most people. For we do, indeed, stand on the verge of the most spectacular event in human history. The end of the greatest Ponzi scheme known to man is about to take place. We are referring to the end of fiat money and the beginning of a sound digital currency. -James Cox"

That is the teaser for a book scheduled to be available Thursday, July 11. I believe it will be free to LF members and US $14.95 otherwise.

I don't see a way to pay for the purchase using Bitcoin.

Woot! You're right. We'll have to get on their case about that.

Edit: I just wrote them telling them about your comment. Got an immediate automated reply that someone will follow up, presumably in office hours tomorrow.
I sent them a link to the thread, so if you have specific advice for them perhaps they'll see it here. I'm guessing they should use something like Coinbase but I don't know much about BTC shopping carts.

Laissez-faire books is a prime candidate for accepting Bitcoin in my opinion. I would really enjoy paying for some of their stuff with BTC.
