Start with assessing Top100 Coins. Get an idea how good and projects look like.
Promising Coins for 2018 (not for short term like two weeks) are Ark, VeChain and COSS imho.

Ethereum is one of the best ICO I know. Pay attention to it!

There are lots of ICO going on and its quite hard to find one that can be profitable in future, you might get many names from different people have either bought those token themselves or will just post names of the coin they are promoting.

I will suggest you to make your own research, looks for tokens/coin with very low total supply, low soft + hard cap and very short period for ICO with almost no pre-ICO or have done pre-ICO with just 10 to 20% discount on ICO price.

It depends on whether you want to have short term investment or long term? And high risk or low risk?

Right now, i suggest you invest in IOTA as its on a big rise and will most likely continue to rise until the end of the year. The same goes for Stellar. But i also believe that Ripple will reach $1 by 2018 and maybe higher too.

one word for you "Bitcoin" see btc rise in this year and i think next year will keep going up, therefore 80% of my assets is btc and I am sure will be a very valuable asset in the future.
but if you want to invest in alt, you can choose dash, ltc, xmr, xrp, waves and eth.

My porttfolio is Vertcoin, Groestlcoin and Adex. I think that in 2018 these three Coin's values ​​will be much higher than their current values. So I made my investment for this reason.

Eth will always be a good one to invest in. But there are quite a lot of alt coins which are super cheap. When they get a bit more exposure then the price should go up. Plus you'd get more coins for your money. Depends on strategy... if you want loads of one coin... or a higher value coin?

Good point! You should ALWAYS dive into the community - so you can how mature and helpful the community is and if founders/devs are there to actively support their own project.
This is important because projects really suffering when the communication is almost at zero.

No one can accurately guess which coin will give you the maximum profit. Now many coins seem promising to me. But I can not know what will happen to them in a few years. I invested in Monero, Ripple and Waves

I think the best choices for investments are the bitcoin and ethereum. Of course you can find some good profit opportunities with some altcoins, but for me, this two are the best ones.

If u want to earn 100% profit for 3-4 months invest on bitcoin, but if u want to earn more u need to do trading daily and long term. Long term coins are: Monero, Komodo, Stratis. With daily trading u can search u but I ll tell u some: Pivx, Ark and Monaco buy them in low price daily and sell when u have profit..

I agree with this especially if we see bitcoin now increase so high, this will be the best investment that we can do right now. but besides bitcoin, I am sure that there is another altcoin that could be the best coin for invest too because we have so many altcoin that we can choose. the list of coins above me gave could be our choice but we need to make sure and research before we buy the coins and make it as our long term investment.

There are large number of ICO going on and its very elusive one that can be beneficial in future, you may get many names from various individuals have either purchased those token themselves or will simply post names of the coin they are advancing.

Noone is telling you why you should invest into this and that coin. It is mostly about which coin and how much this coin gained.
I advise you to note all mentioned coins and do your own research about them. Start with five coins. Read the whitepapers, get a feeling about which whitepaper seems to be written well and which is doing exceptionally well and which falls off a bit.
Then start researching more information and try to make your first steps into the community.
Get a feeling about how they are talking. Is it just about price speculation or are they supportive and try to drive the topic ?

I think you should more careful in choosing which coin that you will take as your investment. You should list the Five Top coin in the world and then you can list all the positives and negatives of that coin. It means you should do a research about the coin too. It will make you more confidence in choosing which coin that give many advantages.

Do some research before you deciding to invest in cryptocurrency. My experience invest in crypto if i want invest for short term i choose invest in bitcoin but if for long term i choose in altcoin. Ethereum is good project but slowly transaction these day make its become weak coins. They need to find a solution to solve this problem because more and more usefull things will be deploy on Ethereum network.

We all know that bitcoin is the best for investments because the price of  bitcoin is increasing every month or a year. If you wait 2-4 years your profit will increase further. But we can not be sure when will the price increase or decrease.

As long as all coins sort of pegged/depend on BTC we will see BTC reign over alts. When we see new gateways and tradingpair we can hope this will have finally an end.
