Christmas Gift: Bitcoin hits $12000

I think there is the possibility of Bitcoin price to reach nearly $18k. If it happens then it will be the best Christmas gift for all the Bitcoiners.

Hope Bitcoin price will reach more than that ;)

We aint in X-mas yet and bitcoin is already over 12k, I think it may hit 15k by  the 24th.
Still a very good present if we make an investment today and it goes to 15k.

I think not, usually when year-end holidays bitcoin prices will go down. in addition to hardfork that keeps the bitcoin price down, the decrease of spreading and bitcoin volume makes the bitcoin the price down.
but I'm not sure because that's just my analysis.

This is not impossible at all, as you could notice it, climbing up so fast right now, 12.4K$ USD. We are still in the first week of December, a few more weeks, it could easily jump at 15-18k$ USD Level. Now, that's a MERRY CHRISTMAS! :)

To be honest, I did not believe even that until the new year bitcoin would reach $ 10,000. I'm happy that I was wrong.

Honestly I do not think that bitcoin will reach 18,000 dollars before Christmas, but he has surprised me so many times, so there is some truth in your words.

Indeed an awesome gift from Bitcoin. It's just amazing how fast it had reached another peak and maybe climb up more. Before two or three months ago everyone predicted it to be at only $9000 at the end of this year but look where it is right now, it is more than the predicted price. As days go by, Bitcoin price is increasing a thousand dollar in a more shorter period of time, maybe sooner or later days will come that the fluctuations happening right now especially that thousand dollar increase might just happen in a second, minute or an hour only.

Do you guys believe there will be a drop to 7-8k, looking a chart, there should be a price correction??

It is not christmas yet. Anyway, on 10 dec bitcoin will start futures trading...so it could pump up a lot before the end of the year, but it could also dump pretyy hard until then.
I personally wont mind to see a little dip, because i would like to put my hand on some more satoshi until i lose this train forever :D.

is there any chance for a newbie to play bitcoin right now? or it's too late?

To be honest, I think that bitcoin would raise to $14,000 before the year ends. However the only thing that gives me doubts are the upcoming forks this December. From what I searched in Google, there would be around 5 or 6 forks. Based on my experience, during Forks it would go down but would skyrocket thereafter however these are continuous forks and I am not sure of what the effect on Bitcoin would be.

The market is possible to hit more than $12k so we will expecting to $20k. I think bitcoin price will hit to $20k it is possible. With these days value of bitcoin that high many users believe in bitcoin.

I believa that next target is 20.000... I I would not be surprised if it reaches this peak before 31.12.2017. Everyone want to buy bitcoin and very few people want to sell.. so nothing is impossibile! Merry Christmas!

this is a worderfull christmas for bitcoiners because bitcoin has increase alot this year. We earn alot of money, specially in trading and signature campaign. But next year will be a new year for bitcoin. We are expecting bitcoin to rise ints valie more.

Yes it probably hits the price in $12,000 USD as a christmas gift for everybody for many users who have believing bitcoin. So i think this is not they only price have done through in $12, 000 so what i expect is would it would 20k USD.

More than just these, Bitcoin's price increases come largely from IFO! Various bifurcation caused bitcoin's price increases, but I think this is a drinking dove thirst, is not conducive to the long-term development of bitcoin.

No, there's no "Late" words to join into bitcoin world. Bitcoin still have volatile behavior on its moving.
Make sure you take those advantages for profit taking.

With these so much progress i really think that bitcoin might close to $15k to $20k of this year. I'm hoping for the best for bitcoin since i am holding some of it right now along with my alts ;D

There is a big possiblity that it will reach $12000 by this month of december as christmas gift for many users who have believing bitcoin for how many years. This is not the only price i  expect it this month but it will reach up to $15,000 if the demand has continuesly increasing. So we expect more happenings by few more weeks.

I do hope that Bitcoin will hit that on or before Christmas Day it could be the best gift for all Bitcoiners all over the world. Congrats to all holders of Bitcoin and may we have more profit to come.....

25.000$ for sure by Feb. 2018, and if you got ice enough in the blood, you will be able to cash in 50.000$ by the end of 2018.

Yes, there is a big possibility that it will hit $12000. I hope so, that would really be a great gift for us, bitcoin earners. There are so many things we have to spend on holiday season so I hope it will hit that price.

I think it's now a bit of a bitcoin gift that many folks will enjoy because of the huge amount of bitcoin they can get and many bitcoins can also be found throughout the country

I think Bitcoin will grow more to amaze us. I thought bitcoin can't reach 10k usd but now, every second bitcoin is surprising me. And i hope btc can be hit 20k in first january or february, But i still don't think it will happen in this month  ;D

yeah, and if that happen then it is  gonna the best gift ever and we will have a merry merry christmas. im also wishing if its okay that bitcoin will still rise higher up until new years eve and that will gonna be a big bang if that happens, we will gonna leave this 2017 with a big bang.

sure , bitcoin is always volatile because it was built that way and no one can remove it but it still possibly be manipulated and yes being volatile is good because it can be an advantage to make a profit.  that is also the main reason why bitcoin is  so verry popular.

Brace yourself mate! Because it is not done yet. This is just a taste of the gift, but the gift is still yet to be dropped. Bitcoin is still showing some possibilities of bull run and the train is just about to leave one station to the next one where we are going to get the real gift. I feel in the next few days bitcoin should cross the $13000 threshold and hit $14000+ which is the Christmas gift I am personally waiting for in this year.  ;)

Obviously, I certainly believe that Bitcoin price is going to be a more valuable price than ever. I think day by day Bitcoin is getting popular currency and most of the developed countries have been involved in this system. if you observe the recent times trend then you can find out the actual facts. so you can predict how and why Bitcoin will grow up again and again.

I would say it's still not too late for a newbie. Of course you won't see the same increase as people that bought into bitcoin a couple of years ago. A slice of something is better than nothing.

It is the best chrismas gift when bitcoin was already increase to its currency price. It was a good news that possibly to give us a plentyful chrismas celebration... it is a big help to poor people like me because it is the best privilage to bitcoin to grant my dreams and wishes..

Which forks are upcoming this month?

It's getting very close to 13.000 USD right now so it could hit 14k by Christmas, maybe even more.

Well it is such a great gift this coming Christmas if it happens. Actually this is my first christmas with bitcoin so I dont know yet whats happening during holiday season. But it would be nice for all if these rising up of bitcoins continues.

12,000 USD is a good Christmas gift to us. It is possible that bitcoin hit to 12,000 USD before December ends and i think it is more than that. In good faith we all hoping that bitcoin will rise it's maximum value of it before Christmas and it is a great gift to all bitcoin user.

for now, I think its the best gift for all of the bitcoin user because the price is more than $11k. but I don't think that the price will increase nearly $18k although we have the possibility to see this price. I still happy with the price because this is my first time to see the highest price of bitcoin.

Question to all of you: do you think this increase in price is healthy for the overall crypto space?

In my opinion this constant sharp increase is not healthy at all and can hurt many small investors that get in now, as they will stay in when the profit taking takes place by the big players. Just my opinion, but I would rather see an organic rise than $1000 every other day.

Did you stop to think maybe this IS organic rise? On two separate days in the past 5 or 6 weeks Coinbase has said that it had over 100,000 new users sign up in a single day. Organic user adoption is absolutely BOOMING!

If it had been a straight rise from $6000 6 weeks ago to almost $13 today then yes that would not be healthy. But we've had two serious corrections during that time. As long as we have regular corrections during which the market can find a bottom, build momentum, and then continue the rise, then the market is healthy. Those correction just came and went in like a week each because demand right now is crazy as people are expecting Wall St to jump into direct investment next year and people want to get in before the price takes off into the tens of thousands of dollars next year. Also passing $10k probably had the effect of making plenty of people realize that oh hey it isn't just going to crash to zero like the skeptics/critics say, so I should go ahead and get in now and make good money. In addition just the network effect continues to increase so the more people that get into it, the more people that learn about it.


Also $1000 rise every other day is obviously exaggerating. Since late October its been about $1000 every week on average, granted that includes two big corrections in there.

I think we'll see $15k for Christmas.

When Bitcoin reached $10,000, everybody was already ecstatic! How much more if it reached $12,000 or even more on Christmas day? It would for sure be a Christmas to remember. Looking how the rates of Bitcoin are for the past few days, there is a big chance that Bitcoin will go nowhere but up. Hopefully, Bitcoin will continue to break records or continue to increase in value through the new year.

Yup! well said. I think today is Christmas in the Bitcoin world! Our dreams come true, seems very quickly. No doubt, Bitcoin is skyrocketing and no idea when the bullrun stopped. Now, 1 Bitcoin equals 12,855 US Dollar  8)

Yet, there are also people trying to buy bitcoins or others, who have sold at 10k, thinking it would not get higher..

One of the biggest critics that is made towards bitcoin is about its volatility.  understand why such hit is interesting.. But do not make it too big...It could be hard for all the community!

It will be nice if bitcoin reach to $15000 on Christmas. I predicted that bitcoin would be increase really well in the end of this year and it became true. In general, bitcoin keep doing well and i think it will be get to 15K soon, this goal will be a special gift for me and my family, i can buy more thing with the money i have earned from bitcoin. Really excited waiting for the good news.

Bitcoin have been gifting and doing good by all the people that believed in it all the way long from the point it surpassed the 1k dollar bar .
And ever since whoever made an investment in bitcoin got rewarded for believing in such innovative invention !
Bitcoin has been successful in achieving a growth of more than 2000 dollars in just this past week with an average of 300 dollars per day which is unprecedented for bitcoin or any other currency around the world .
Bitcoin's success story is  a very interesting one to tell and i don't think we have to convince people to invest in it anymore , because if they don't do it by themselves they'll be complete fools whenever it reaches the 100k bar !

Its just a matter of some time now and very soon we will see that high price of bitcoins and who knows we may see $15k price even before Christmas as price is moving like crazy now and anything is possible in coming weeks and I have a very positive feeling that bitcoin will create history at the end of the year.

The price you talk about can be only possible in 2018 or 2019. Before it, this is not likely to happen from my percetption actually. It could be an amazing christmas gift your your family.

I agree, I think it's too much BTC pricing $18.000 by Christmas. There is nothing at this moment that could explain a big increasement in price like that. It's good to see price increasing, but it's even better to see the price increasing solid. Big pumps bring big dumps and fear to the market, especially for those who don't have experience on Crypto-Currency world yet, but invest money for real.

These things i really didnt expect,were only in a week of Dec. And bitcoins price reached to $13600+ while checking few hours had passed its just $12k it really amazed me and maybe to everyone else also. So for me its possible to reach $18k by this year ends..but we must have to consider that there will still be corrections after it rises things that we will watch out for that.One btc amounting to $10k for me already the best gift for everyone whose been in the crypto business.

There will be correction, soon or later. Less than one month ago, bitcoin was sold for half its actual price. 100% raise in less than a month isn't sustainable in the long term.
What we don't know is when will the correction be, before or after end of year.

I agree, we might be moving forward of its peak this december end and as it really went through all day long we always be expecting lots of progress it bring to us. The christmas gift is worth an enjoyable profit and with this current situation of price increasing rapidly, most of the investors hope's for promising increase so far. Possibly after all things went to good results, well this holiday seasons might be a good idea to give gifts to loved ones because of the profit that you will gain.

From the time that this post have been published until now , bitcoin has been successful in reaching 13.510 dollars and reach a 14.050 dollars as an all time high value , which is more than a 1.5k of growth in just one day . I'm not quite believing my eyes right now or how can something in this world can make up to 17% of growth just in one day !
Even bitcoin enthusiasts didn't speculate that it'll be able to break such records comparing to it's past growing pace .
Bitcoin is pretty much dominating all the cryptocurrencies market and i don't think that there's someone who didn't already heard about it all over the world !
More success is yet to come and i'm sure that it got in it much more potential than this ! Something spectacular to amaze all the globe !

This last week I got a nice surprise almost every morning. The value increases most during the night (in my timezone) which leads me to believe that a lot is traded during late afternoon and evening in the US. Maybe people are talking about it at work or hear about bitcoin on the car radio. And after dinner they may go sit behind their computers and buy some bitcoin. What do you guys think, could that be the reason?

Op, we are no longer talking about Bitcoin to reach $12,000 any more for Bitcoin market value as at the time of this post is $13,905  which i believe it will continue to grow in value to above 16,000 before end of December this year but don't think that it will reach $18,000 as you speculate above.

Price of the Bitcoin is now $14k, Nobody knows what will be the price on DEC 25.

What is sure is that if the bitcoin continues with this slope of growth it will touch the 20,000 americain dollar in at most 3 months, not to say less, since the current value is equal to 15 090 USD. However, the correction of the value is still possible at any time. As justification, I remind you the last time when the value of 1 bitcoin is equal to 3 000 dollar because of the Chinese government which have closed some ICO.
