What if someone creates a better digital currency? Does it has an effect on the whole market?

If you create a better currency, publish it, propagate your idea, collaborate and launch; World will lift you up.

Better than what??
Have you seen coinmarketcap's website? there tons of different crypto assets and currencies. I'm sure you'll find something suitable for your specific needs. But if you have money and ready to invest it, you're free to develop your own currency, even on own blockchain))

There are many far better currencies/technologies than bitcoin. Ethereum is the most famous one. Just because a currency is better though doesn't mean it will topple bitcoin. Bitcoin has the brand name and recognition that will be in history books a thousand years from now. No other coin that exists right now will, even with their better tech.

There is a saying, "The perfect is the enemy of the good". So, probably, Bitcoin is just good enough, so that a new, perfect in some sense cryptocurrency, will not make big difference, at least in short period of time.

In my opinion will depend on the project itself, if the project behind the currency generates great benefits, success, marketing are only consequences.
This can all influence the market.

You cannot create "better" crypto currency, because there are more than 1.
'Better' than which of them and by what?
