Title: What do you do when reaches to STOP in trading?
Post by: antonio2234 on December 06, 2017, 09:11:57 AM
I have a question:

What is the best strategy when you reach to STOP level in trading?
1) Stop buying?
2) Selling?

You mean when we reach the stop loss limit? If yes, then it is better to sell and buy later stage.

I only put stop loss on coins which I don't have a confidence in the long run so I don't want to hold them for long. So if prices reach to the stop loss level I prefer to sell and use that money for other trades.

But for some good altcoins, I will buy and keep it and don't mind if prices go down also because I know in the long run it will go high so I may buy even more coins at that lower price.

My question is about such predict analysis (example):

Market: "STRUSD"

Buy: 0.032300
Stop: 0.026500  ==>> What does it mean exactly? Selling or Stop buying?
Profit Targets: 0.039000 and 0.050000

Something very serious must happen. Trading is like a kind of an infection or even an addiction - it is not difficult to quit it.

With such a volatile market like cryptocurrencies I don't really recommend you to have stop limits on your trades. I think you must have an exit strategy, both for taking profits and taking losses, but to have automatic exit points could be dangerous. Sometimes the spikes ate so big, that will trigger your stoploss and you wouldn't even be in any danger if you kept your trade open. I heard that sometimes, the variation is so big, that your stop loss doesn't even get triggered. So on both situation you might be guaranteed a loss, so I think it's better to not use a stop limit at all, and you should just do everything manually.

I stop buying when it's price paired to BTC and Eth are going down and wait for it to comeback then buy again. I Sell when I will have a decent profit not less 3%, I am not that greedy and it's a daily basis. I do nothing when I am at lost and wait, be patience is the key, but when it's a sure lose and nothing new to com up with with coin, I will sell them all.

Stop - means stop loss limit On this price you sell in order to minimized your risk.

But when you put stop loss  order your need to monitoring price in order to take profit.
Unfortunately you cant  put at the same time stop loss and take profit order.

i think its depend on you what is your price yarget before you sell your coins for me 10 1to 15 percent interest is enough to resell my coin for my day trading, buy coins in the lower price with have possible potential to increase the price if think have no possility to increase the you want to buy stop buying because have possility to lost your capital.

Well for me, i seldom use stop loss. I usually am for the long run and i just invest on coins that i've invested time in studying. Stop loss most of the time are for day traders. I use it sometimes when i try to follow tips from telegraph groups but that's not really that often
