Do you think Bitcoin will crash one day?

History is always strikingly similar. I think Bitcoin will collapse sooner or later.
But when does it crash? It will not be a hundred years later. So, let's not worry about it. At least for now, bitcoin is still on the rise.

I think there is a possibility of this especially now that major players or countries in the world are suddenly closing ta doors not just on bitcoin but cryptocurreny as a whole. Its only a matter of time and few more countries to follow and it can be disastrous

Well if you see at fiat, they crash and recover, so why will Bitcoin be different? It's a currency after all. It will see its ups and downs but the main thing with bitcoin crashing will be, What will make it crash. A way better Altcoin, Quantum computers or a world war 3. The question you are asking has no one definite answer. You are allowed to believe whatever you like ;)

There will always be a possibility for Bitcoin to crash. However bitcoin value right now is on the rise. May I just suggest that it would be best to put in an investment and just cash out from time to time to have an insurance of profit. No one knows when the price of bitcoin will fall. Let's just make the most out of it now.

Yes. Bitcoin is very volatile. We cannot be always sure that its value will be forever increasing.

There is nothing certain in the future but based on what the chart shows, bitcoin keeps on crashing and rising it is a currency and given that bitcoin is a highly volatile market we will see that more often. If what you are referring to is a major crash like back when bitcoin cost almost nothing, i say that is possible but since more countries are getting on board with bitcoin i do not see that happening soon.

I don't think so. there is no possibility regarding this issue, there are a lot of strong reasons against this matter, You know that Already USA, Australia, Japan and so many countries have collected a lot of Bitcoin because of foreign reserve. So that Bitcoin is getting stronger day by day. not only that but also Bitcoin is becoming a popular currency nowadays. that's why I believe that Bitcoin will not be crashed in future.

we dont hide the truth that someday this bitcoin will totally crash, but i think we are all gone (dead) and we cannot witness that moment. so dont worry about that crash, focus on what/where you are and do some profits by this bitcoin and we all fine.

one day? bitcoin does crash every now and then!

i think at least every 3 months we have one crash. and most of the times it starts as a simple and small correction after a big rise. then when the small drop for correction ends the panic sells start, and it is continued by an FUD which causes a much bigger  drop to nearly 30% value lost. i believe the record of this year is a little less than 40% crash.

market is still small like that but it works both ways, the same way it crashes big and fast it recovers all of it in a short time.

There is a lot of possibilities, bitcoin has a limitation like other currency, bitcoin will crash one day not because of crashing software but because of the users or if the government interfere and  also if bitcoin reach his limitation.

Definitely! If you do your research you will realize that it happened before and that's way too common every time btc reaches new ATH. It happened before and will always happen again anytime and that's healthy for the community especially for the traders. The crash is not something to be bothered about but should be viewed as an opportunity to gain more because that's the perfect time to buy more coins which will then lead to btc to rise up in no time because the community support is strong and that's what really is essential in cryptocurrency.

No one can predict the price of bitcoin. But it is up to you on how you see the future of bitcoin. But for me bitcoin is up and down it is not always be increasing.

It does have the potential to crash at some point but there will more than likely be another coin that will take its place. I'm just going to buy more next time it dips.

I think it will depend on what the first big owners are going to do. I've they truely believe in the BTC, it will maybe crash some times but not enough to kill it. If they sold everything to secure $/€/£, then maybe the bitcoin could not survive...

I think, there is the possibility of bitcoin will one day crash. this is because some countries are beginning to cover the digital currency because the price and value of digital currencies such as bitcoin are not worth the price of paper currency. but, note that bitcoin currency will not be as easy as it crashes due to the sale value and bitcoin usage is still stable and has not violated the procedures of some countries.

It is normal for the price of bitcoin to go up and down but i don't think the price of bitcoin will crash completely.
Sometimes the price of bitcoin take a dip because of what is called a market correction but it surely recovers in no time most of the times.

i don't think any negative idea or happening about the bitcoin all i want to do is go with the flow and be ready what might come happen next so be prepared to what be happen someday all things will be gone because there's no permanent but if that happen if the bitcoin crash one day if i knew about it before the crashing of one day then there's no purpose of holding because the purpose of holding if the price will go up and then sell it to the higher price but if the bitcoin crash then its better to sell it to lower price

im sure btc will crash one day again.happend 100times before the last years.but bitcoin always comes back and the bubble gets bigger & bigger.

That should always be what people are trying to research on before they go screaming bitcoin will crash.
I think they should have enough sources of information that explain hypothesis assuming that it would be happening.
In my opinion, such scenarios happen because people think bitcoin will go down that is why many will sell not knowing they will be the reason why it will go down.
It is not a fact butbi think it contributes to any crash.

Perhaps and I do not know what should I do if it collapsed.  Maybe yes it will and hopefully it will never happen.  I just have a financial freedom a little and I worried less after I knew and used bitcoin.  It is a big help for me as it gives me an additional income.  I was able to buy things that I was not able to buy before because my salary is just enough for my expenses.

it is possible lets imagine this on mining ends as the price go up and difficulty level increase for mining and miners get less share at that moment if 50% miners are stop mining bitcoin then what will happen with bitcoin. As bitcoin transaction depends on BTC miners.

I think it will not happen. The current price of 1 Bitcoin is at 12,000 USD so it will not happen anymore what I do. As long as anyone who has this Bitcoin suppliers can not break it. Bitcoin will never crash one day. And i believe the record of this year is a little less than 30% to crash. So it does not happen I just think.

It has already experienced crash but not too deep. Like for example in september when china tried to ban altcoins. It crashed from 4600$ to 3000$ then bounce back and now see the price.  ;D

It could for some reason one day. And I don't want to think about that; instead I am grateful for what have achieved, learned and thankful that I knew about bitcoin because honestly it has been a blessing in disguise to me and my family as well.

There never has been something like Bitcoin and never will be. The first truly world currency without national barrier (even though the barriers are slowly popping up with governmental limitations in some countries) so there is no way to ascertain what will be, how it will be and most especially, when it will be.

What we know however is how Bitcoin has behaved, its trend until now. That trend has cumulatively been upward. It has has its challenges but has weathered it well. Therefore, we can say that no long term investor (people who see it as an investment) has lost on the long run. However, going forward we can say that Bitcoin's success so far may not be the basis for judging how it will turn out in the future.

There are variables and events that are already taking place that will likely shape the future. For instance, big players coming in with mega bucks, government regulations and forks are events we will witness more of next year in order to have clearer view of the future.

Generally, we are aware that the price will keep going up as demand rises. We also know that it will keep going up as more people use it as valuable asset instead of as currency. It will keep going up as mining difficulty increases. That's as far as we know.

On the other hand, a time will come when all the Bitcoin are mined, it'll even get scarcer but that's a long time coming. What should be our concern is the reaction of the market to big players dumping the coin. Will most people panic and sell off causing the crash you mentioned? What of governments feeling in future that Bitcoin has grown too big to be a threat to world economy? What happens then? Time will tell.

We need to know exactly what the current price is the result of demand, not the game of whales. The correction is possible but after there will be only the moon

We can't deny the possibilities that it will crash someday or probably not just some dips, but the questions are when? and why? nothing last forever, it will be replaced by the competitors or newly created crypto that is almost perfect to cater the needs of the users and investors with its great features which bitcoin is lacking, anything can happen with bitcoin, it can last for several decades with its upgrades and fixes or it will vanish and remain in the legends of cryptocurrencies.

Bitcoin is a joint media solution. It does not have any third party in the transaction. Its currency can be kept, and later it is possible to get more profit if the price increases. There is no risk of trading Bitcoin and it is very easy to clean so there is no possibility of Bitcoin collapsing.

We can't deny the fact that there's no permanent in this world.

Yes, since Bitcoin is a part of a wild crypto market. No, doubt that it will crash at the highest level but I am sure that there are the investors who are willing to en-cash such opportunity and it will again boost the price of Bitcoin. It is called a correction process which I was expecting at the level of $6K but somehow it is delayed due to the active game of institutional investors but not long from now, we are going to experience the correction of 20% to 30%.

hopefully it will crash once more pretty soon so that all of us can make a nice and huge amount of profit. i will be waiting for the signals to find the best time to sell my trading (BTC) funds and place my buy orders at the bottom of the panic sell...

The old adage what goes up must come down is true in many aspects of life including bitcoin. Although when it comes down it doesn't necessarily have to bottom. Corrections are good for markets. I personally would like to see bitcoin correct so I can add to my position. I hope I don't regret this in the future but I'm not comfortable entering now@13K.

It depends on the meaning of 'crash'. 20-30% corrections may look like crashes to many, but they are expected and unavoidable. Bitcoin may drop to, say, $11k tomorrow and I would not be surprised in the slightest. A complete collapse without subsequent recovery? That's another story, and a very unlikely one in the nearest future. In a very long term (decades) - yes, it will.

Bitcoins in my own opinion preferably will rise more. I am surprised about the great increase but before it will crash I think it would still have a long run. I think it is just starting to grow at this time. Since that many are just getting involved at it because of the prices striking up the charts. I think prices going up attracts many users to invest more. They do not want to miss profits.

Yes there will be a crash at some point in the future and probably several crashes. This doesn’t mean that Bitcoin will fail. There was a crash back in the beginning of 2014 and Bitcoin recovered and has gone well beyond that old high.

The stock market has had several crashes and it is going strong. Crashes are a part of the market along with corrections and consolidations. You can try to time them or ride them out.

Only Lord knows if Bitcoin will crash in November. We doubt if anyone can truly predict this. One thing we know, should bit coin actually crash in November , it would be a classic buying opportunity as worlds largest exchange CME is planning to introduce bit coin futures in December.

No one knows the actual worth of a bitcoin, so it will come down once it is overpriced, but again you don’t know how much price is overprice.

Number of bitcoins are fixed and it’s price is increasing only based on demand and supply basis. There are still very few people trading in digital currency comparing to total population investing money or money invested in digital currencies are a small percentage compared to total money invested in market. So there is still much space left to grow for bitcoin, however there is high risk associated with it.

At present I would bet on its buy deal and not sell.

I would not be saying the truth if I comment that I don't think about it because times without number the thought comes like 'what if bitcoin price crashes tomorrow' or I wake one day to realise the price I left at above $10,000 before going to bed, has gone below $1,000 the following day but as much as the thought comes, so also are news to make the difficulty of that happening more intense and not just good news alone but not so favourable news which makes the price takes a hit with the hope that recovery is in sight.

It’s not a matter of will it, it’s a matter of when.

There will be a point when major investors have realized the target profit levels they were looking for and decide to liquidate their holdings. They might liquidate to reinvest in another asset or simply return profits to their shareholders and be the big hero. All investments eventually reach a price that prohibits new entry. That will start a run that will free fall the exchange rate like a meteor racing to earth. When that will happen is anyone’s guess. When you see the price start falling rapidly better sell quick (if the exchanges allow you to sell quickly) or you might be stuck with a bunch of these.

I think bitcoin will never crash.beacause before some years only few people know about the btc but nowdays it's popularity is increasing too much.And btc supply is also counted so no more btc will come into the market therfore in future it's price will increase too much.And bitcoin is also first cryptocurrency and the king of cryptoworld therfore i think btc  will never crash.

Bitcoin may crash for the following reasons:
1, the mainstream countries ban
2, there is a more advanced and more perfect currency or technology

First thing we have to fit in mind that Bitcoin is thing which human have made with proper cryptographic algorithmic platform for exchange of tokens, which purely work on peer to peer network.

Now my opinion about crash of Bitcoins -

Bitcoin basically have value for its type of work used with algorithm to generate tokens by solving blocks. And as now many users are part of this process of generation of Bitcoins by contributing computing power, which really costs to miner. And against this cost of investment, contributors get rewards according to their share of participation.

So as per my view miner who have BTC or people already had BTC can decide price of Bitcoin and user have the only option to buy it at sellers price. So when user stop to showing interest in Bitcoins, there are possibilities of crashing Bitcoins. Otherwise Bitcoin is really valuable commodity for future investment, and more and more interest of common people will take Bitcoins to new height.

for me bitcoin will not fall because many depend on it and the size of it is so expensive that bitcoin will be lost in the world because many people will suffer and many families will starve if bitcoin is lost so it should be spread over social media for other people to learn more about bitcoin and not just plug it in because I believe in the saying that it's just as good.

Well, clearly, everything that has a beginning also has an end or is bound to end at some point. The only question is when. And that is something none of us here can say for sure. The only thing we can really do is to speculate about this.

And for me, i think it ain't gonna be somewhere near our lifetime. So wouldn't make sense to worry about it. Would only be just a waste of time and energy.

Up and down is a part of every currency. Surly, It will be come down after a sharp correction but after consolidation for some time, it will go again upside. It is a mature currency now days so no need to wary.

May be one day bitcoin will be crash but now it is not happening, during 15 to 20 years bitcoin can't be crash. It is a time of bitcoin and now bitcoin will be grow more and everyday.  I suspect that bitcoin will crash one day but it depends on what you define as a crash, I don't think it will crash more than about 30% any time in the coming years. And then if it crashes from say $1m to $300k in 2022 will most of us care too much? Probably not, we will probably be by then sitting somewhere relaxing on our piles of money.

Truly, I figure Bitcoin will crash one day and recover some time or another on of Bitcoin high volatile currency.Its happened many times in the past time, however, don't stress right now these days bitcoin uptrend....  invest in Bitcoin make money  ;D

It will crash. I do not think government will do it, more likely some new technology.

What kind of question is this? Everything that goes up, goes down... not matter the stock or asset you are investing in. The question is, how low it can go?
I think we will be seeing a correction before the end of the year, and something in the order of 35% to 45% is a possibility to be considered.

As with every beginning, there must be an end, but I believe that we will see this clearly not in the near future so far bitcoin feels well let it remain

No shit ,Sherlock. What kind of a world are you living in, the one which only and only has high expectations and dreams and no down falls whatsoever? If yes, well give yourself a reality check. There requires a huge need for correction in the price of bitcoin. Yesterday the price was ~12,000$ and in less than 24 hours the price went to 14,700$. That big a change is causing alts to suffer immensely  :'(. Apparently now is not the time to trade altcoins, sadly. Even though the prices of the altcoins are rising in terms of USD,that's clearly not helping, as change in the price of bitcoin in terms of USD is more than the change in the price of altcoins in terms of USD.

I believe bitcoin and most of the altcoins won't survive for longer. There might be one or more cryptocurrencies that can make it big at the end, but that might not have been launched yet. Bitcoin just can't keep on running because of first mover advantage. Technologies go obsolete and hence bitcoin can't be a store of value. I believe market is such a mess right now that most of currencies you are holding for long term will go 0 in coming years. Here I am not talking about BERL (bitcoin, Ethereum, Ripple, Litecoin). But these are highly overvalued right now.

No i dont think that will ever happen as you can see bitcoin is at its strongest and bitcoin is lively at the market as there are many bitcoin user whos trading it, the demand for bitcoin is quite high that why the price is also booming.

No, of course not. Assets that constantly rise and fall a quarter of their value within a few days are immensely crash proof. Just buy as many as you can until it hurts. You eat too much anyway. Use some of your food money on bitcoin.

No,I don't think that Bitcoin will crash one day,because day by day it's usability is increasing by using exchangers, Eshop, and so on.Although now it's percent of increase is so high for 1 year but the fluctuations of cryptocurrency is it's nature.so I think Btc will increase and sometimes will decrease.

I think its yes, when some people already reach their goal and hit what they wanted for the price of bitcoin for sure they will sell it or en-cash it. A lot of investors now are having panic buying, that why bitcoin price is pumping or rising up but when the time that investors will sell it for the price that they wanted, for sure bitcoin price will also dump or bump. Maybe bitcoin price will not going to totally bump. We can still have a good price of bitcoin for sure.

We cannot always be sure, no doubt! But we can be certain that there is absolutely more room for Bitcoin's growth. One fact remains, worst that could ever happen to cause a crash would be some high level of panic and for now, I do not see anything that can warrant that. Correct from the point of correction. Bitcoin will crash at extent of correcting its value. But a huge crash is inevitable for bitcoin. It will depend on the development of bitcoin specially for the transaction fees once the traffic continues.

We will observe regular up and down in the price of Bitcoin because of market conditions. As the price is increased

Did you think back in 2009 that bitcoin would be over $16, 000 today ? I guess not. No one would know if BTC would crash one day or not, but at least we are still here. Yes, history may be similar and we have experienced something like this before which usually comes with a huge correction and that is what I would classify them as. A correction and not a crash.

You're damn right, and i agree with your points. We're seeing a crash right here right now and it's irrational to assume that a crash equal the size of the last 2013 crash wouldn't happen again. It's just absolutely absurd to think that this bubble will never end either.

However, i have to disagree with you about the long term pricing of bitcoin.

Bitcoin is backed by the people using it. And no matter how good the technology behind altcoins get, it doesn't matter. All we needed in the first place was a decentralized way to pay. We don't need no smart contracts, no decentralized car towing or all that nonsense.

Bitcoin's value will in my opinion be preserved in the long run, however there will be pumps and dumps that will affect value in the short term.

So many lives are committed with bitcoin and bitcoin will never disappoint its investor so for me crashing of bitcoin is impossible it has grown itself so strong that people will give a helping hand to rise it again if a crash happen people have faith in it that it will change their days and it fulfilled their expectations so everyone will play a vital role if any crashing situation occur and bitcoin will bless them again and again,

In a couple billion years, the Sun will explode and destroy the solar system.

So one day, I'm pretty sure Bitcoin will be gone forever.

But seriously, I think Bitcoin will be here to stay for a while.

There are many potential investors who are not investing due to fear caused by the statist news networks, miserable people who have somehow managed to lose money, and regretful people who don't have the courage to invest.

No I do not think that it will crash one day because I know well about bitcoin and its future and its current situation. I know that it is going very stronger in the market and many people are connected with this coin for their businesses so they will not leave bitcoin and if they will not leave then it is not possible that the price of bitcoin drop but it will increase and if it will increase then everyone will adopt it.

By crash...you mean the end of bitcoin? Nah i don't think so, bitcoin has lots of support from people all over the world which can be seen from its rapid rise in value and as long as we have the devs and community to share ideas to keep bitcoin up and running, bitcoin still has a long way to go before this crash happens or the crash will never happen.

For me when we talk about crash of bitcoin price, well bitcoin always have a crash but not to the extent that it will crash very high at the same time. It always depends when supply and demand beats each other, and we couldn't control that situations because it possible to happen anytime. Crashing of the price value is always a reality because it has a volatile character.

Crash will happen and suppose to happen when we are all always in a go green go chart. Expect that after a week or it can go further for a month but it will not always that positive all the time. I know there will be some crash for its price but it will not pull bitcoin to a total crash I mean total shutdown.

According to my views and know there will not be any crash in bitcoin in the coming days or months but the base of bitcoin is now much stronger and the price of it has already recovered and now we have to think for the further increase in the price which is definite and which will take only a few months to make the price of bitcoin to rise to 50 000 dollars or more.

For sure, Blockchain technology and cryptocurrencies will play an important role in payment system in future. There is a high probability that a new cryprocurrency with more benefits and better technology replace bitcoin. If it happens, yes Bitcoin will lose its value. But For sure a cryptocurrency will be very valuable in future. But we don't know that is bitcoin or not.

No one is closing their doors and trust me bro, without the major players you are talking about, bitcoin has been doing awesomely well over the years as well as other cryptocurrencies and if any government like they should even bolt the door, nothing is going to change the revolution that is on and that is what would keep making bitcoin to kick better in the long run.

Yes they have possibility the price crash one day and thats natural . But I hope the price will continue to increase so we can make more money if that happen. Crash as in nosedive or decline abruptly?  Maybe years from now. But for the time being will not happen. It may drop to a certain percent but eventually it will certainly recuperate and even much stronger. So still hold on to that bitcoin of yours.

Exactly the only thing that can stop bitcoin is a ban from government but this can be avoided by helping government to implement bitcoin by portraying it's benefits and how it can boost economy because if government bans bitcoin I mean if one or two government bans bitcoin it's not gonna hurt but if some region or union like GCC or European Union bans bitcoin then it will be really difficult but I don't think it will.happen.

I agree. If it would become really big and reliable that it would be in a state where more and more people would use it and more would recognize its potential. I would say that even if there's always a possibility of it crashing, it would also have the capacity to regain value and not actually die out. It's a currency after all. However, what's unique about bitcoin is it can also be treated as an investment too, it would have other means to survive in a case of a crash. I think it would only see its demise is if another currency system that will be more convenient and be more accepted by people would be introduced.

Currently price is so high that serious crush seems really impossible if we consider the situation that people have very positive thoughts about current price + more people sees it has profit benefit. It can fall for example 2000-3000$ but if we talk about serious crash, then there must be some panic, for example new serious word from china and etc. Or if price starts fall and all major traders decide to accelerate fall, then it will cause crash.

Anything can happen to bitcoin and includes crashes like did a few years ago. But it seems if even had to happen, i don't think will be as bad as it once was. The reason is many people are beginning to understand benefits of bitcoin which means more than just money that can be used to shop.

What do you mean by "crash" price drop or totally bitcoin become flat? If you mean by the price is dropping then it will happen, there will always be times that bitcoin price will drop at the market but it wont fully crash bitcoin, the percent of drop in price may just be around 10%-15%, thats how the market goes, price drop time to buy price increase time to sell.

Bitcoin has around $300 billion marketcap so it is no more some digital token with bunch of tech guys supporting it. People from all over the world are showing their interest in bitcoin and its feature, many are buying and many are just learning more before putting their money.

Bitcoin price can't crash to zero overnight but dump of over 20-30% in just few hours is possible as bitcoin market is still volatile and recent addition of bitcoin future can make it more volatile.
