I have a $1200. I want to invest in bitcoin  :-\. Is this the time to invest in Bitcoin or should i wait until BTC down?

To be hoenst I am waiting it to fall back since 10 000$ mark since I was expecting big corretions that haven't occurd . Nobody can answer this although people thought that price at 500$ was high then 1k$, 2k$ and so on.... Be sure to be ready to lose that 1200$ as well as to gain more money. In my opinion it is bubbling up cuz many people hear about it now, but I could be wrong the same time.

Nobody can answer you your question because nobody knows, be sure to look and understand the bitcoin , just some basics to keep your bitcoins safe in case you buy them.

the first thing you need to do is research and if you do that you can see your question is one of the most common ones that is being asked at least once every week!

there is a lot of speculation about bitcoin and it is impossible to say which one is correct and what will actually happen. we can tell bitcoin has a lot of long term potential, and it will certainly have a good future. but the short term movements is still not clear and it makes it unpredictable.

you can wait for a drop to buy or you can stop wasting time and buy now. both strategies have its own risks associated with them. and there is always the risk of price falling.

the price of bitcoin is soo high right now its not the right time to invest wait for people to dump it and its the best time to invest in bitcoin but honestly i would prefer invest into some altcoin with that amount you can get more profits than investing into bitcoin because you have low amount of money.

Yeah its risky to invest in bitcoins at current price as its very expensive now and if you invest now and see major crash in price in next few days then you will likely sell your bitcoins at low price which can be unprofitable for you so better to wait for the price drop or divert your investment in altcoins.

However it is the most risky time to invest in Bitcoin even-than a little amount may be invested. Bitcoin may rise to any level but if come down go to $5000 again.

It totally depends on what you plan to do with the coins you buy. If you're planning to sell any time soon, it might a good idea to buy but not the best or the wisest thing to do as if it starts falling down you will be totally annoyed and might even sell.

The thing is if you buy right now at the highest price bitcoin has ever been, it's a bit risky and you should be able to embrace the fact that it's more than possible for it to drop my huge amounts in extremely small amount of time. The rate of growth in its price from 7k to almost 13k now is totally crazy and has never happened not only in crypto but in anything that behaves in a similar matter (talking about stocks trading etc.).

So if you buy now, you should plan to never sell before maybe a year. And during this year you'll notice a lot of dumps and pumps and crazy stuff. But if you want to profit, you need to keep cool and let all those numbers aside and just let them where they are. No one can predict what's gonna happen. No one knows if the prices we are witnessing now are figures we won't see again ever or they'll be the base price for the future.

i don't encourage you to invest in this moment , you should wait it to down into 10K $ or less to invest either the price of Bitcoin is volatile in this month ! it increase and deacrese everyday ... but the problem that if it will decrease into 5000 $ it will be  a mistake if you invest right now . if you want to tkae the risk i wish you a good luck !

Why wait for the down? if you can invest right now while the value is keep rising and rising, in the end of your waiting for the down you will noticed that the value is too high and you will regret that you did a wrong decision.

never too late for investing, but you can calculate it, at the price of 11k is more better than after some months with a higher price, just focus in it

First we have to know bitcoin is such good investment for everybody.
Because the price ia very high, i will recommend to wait after falling down.

My advice is that you wait a little. Once you notice down trend in price, then buy in.

Like others are suggesting I've been waiting for a correction but its not looking likely, maybe the drop to 9-9.5k recently after it first hit 11k was the correction, who knows  ???

I do not think that there is much risk anymore with buying bitcoin. The only potential loss that can occur is that you bought at a slightly higher price than you could have, making you lose perhaps one percent due to pricing. However, drops and price falls become pretty irrelevant at this point. Bitcoin will bounce back like the many times it already has.

As for the short term investments, the incredible upward trend speaks for itself. 20% a day on average pays for itself two times over in barely a week! Whether you want to keep it for a long time or for a short investment, it was clear from the beginning of 2017 that this year was going to be successful.

I highly recommend to you bought some bitcoin now there are so many people that are waiting for correction to happen but it is really unlikely bitcoin price still increasing and i think it is wise to buy now you'll still profit a lot just be careful and always check out the market cause there really is a lot of risk in holding bitcoin with its price now.

First off nobody knows when is the right time to invest in bitcoin. They started a few cents of a dollar per bitcoin and look at it now. You just have to trust your own instinct and luck, you never know where it will lead you.

So because the bitcoin price reached this amount, now you are willing to invest in bitcoin.  Time is so precious if you invest that amount when bitcoin price already reached $10000, you must have invested right away.  Nonetheless, you have to invest right now because we think that its price would goes up and that money of yours will increased and have a great profit.

The very first rule in Bitcoin investing, buy in the dips. Bitcion is currently at its peak and huying now might be a wrong move. However, we do not know how high Bitcoin will go so buying now might be a wise choice after all. I know that my statements are contradicting each other but this is just a mere fact. Bitcoin is unpredictable and volatile in nature so it could go either ways.

If you could consider alts then go for it. I'd prefer ETH or BCH(not an alt in my opinion)

Since I have decided to invest in my investment philosophy while it is falling or prices are not changing, I will not invest now. Of course it may result in investing at a higher stage than it is now, but I will give up that it was not lucky. I think that you should invest in your own rules.

Yes I agree. rather I would like to suggest go for generation of Bitcoins. As anyone can generate Bitcoins with proper technical knowledge. But it will costs more as day by day more participants are getting involved in mining which supports network to keep safe, secure and running.

Bitcoin raised to $10k and yet people asked the same question. You people should understand how bitcoin works rather than asking whether to buy or not. Bitcoin will rise until there is a supply. Buy it now and don't regret it later. Just buy it if you can.

these days if you blink you miss a couple of thousand dollars of rise. you must invest immediately if you don't want to miss out on the rise. but at the same time you must remember that this trend will not last forever. it will possibly be with us for a while, we may even see $15000 but this is dangerously getting closer to a bubble. we may see a rather big reversal after than and you have to be careful not get caught under the selling load of weak hands by that time and be on the winning side of those who are buying in the dip.

Yes.The price of bitcoin is keeps on raising. I understand why you are asking such questions. Many people are trying to determine whether it is too lte or not to invest.
Will btc continue rising? Will it go down? Will there be corrections?

Nobody knows.
So what I personnally advise you is to make what you can. You know how much you want to invest, that's great. If you are a gambler, then invest now and maybe by the end of 2018 you would have doubled your initial investment. If you are not such a risk-taker, then wait until the bitcoin is "low enough". With this second solution, you keep your money "safe" just because you do not invest it.. but maybe you lose some profitable opportunities.

Try to buy your bitcoins as soon as you can otherwise the price will increase more. I don't think any chance for price fall now so just bitcoin for the current price and keep your bitcoins for long period like more than two years to have good profits.

You should invest before 2 or 3 days , when bitcoin has come back and under $10000. But still it is a good chance to invest on bitcoin. But i will advice you, when you buy bitcoin then must hold it becasue if you hold it then you will gain profit from it.   

Nicely put. We have seen numerous threads in the past asking the same question. For me, there's no right or wrong time to get and buy bitcoins. Why? because their is a high chance that the price could increase overtime. So I advise you to get into the market. The sooner the better. You don't want to miss the opportunity to make some profit. And if it goes down, then hold on it and don't panic sell. Because historical logs shows that it will quickly bounce back and can even go above its previous all-time-high.

Yes, hold it for long term. Bitcoin now is becoming a medium to store your wealth. But in order to fully maximize your profits. I advise you to hold like minimum 6 months to 1 year and see how your investment has become. The profit is really there, but you need a lot of patience and restraint not to sell it unless you needed money because of some emergency.

I am waiting for a corrections but still nothing, which is pretty strange. I would say that right now is very hard to predict what will happen in the short run. But on long time, I think it is ok to buy even at this price. Just do not panic when the correction comes.

You should invest with money that doesnt make you sad once you loose. As an example of mine, i have invested from 7000 around with 2000$, now i doubled my coins and trippled initial invest. How i did, because i was relax to trade during pumpings and dumpings.

Ever since I came to understand that when it have to do with bitcoin investment now at any point in time you sees the price of bitcoin is a right time to invest into into, so I don't have to worry about when to invest into bitcoin. Day by day the price increases and Bitcoin is getting harder and harder. If you succeed, of course, try but I do not know if it can do it because it is very difficult at the moment.

Yes, of course, I also agree I think bitcoin price rising and rising! if some rare situation bitcoin price down then so fast again rise bitcoin value, so it's not good think to wait for bitcoin price down.

1200$, I think it's a little bit small if you want to invest in Bitcoin at the moment cause the price of Bitcoin is 13.000$ at the moment, why don't you take a look at ETH? It's the best altcoin for now and has very good potential. But if you still want to invest in Bitcoin only I think you can invest whenever you want cause it's never too late or early to invest in Bitcoin.

I personally think that it is not the right time now to invest in BITCOINS. Now it is at its highest peak and no other coin can touch it now. I think that if you want to invest in Bitcoins them you should have to wait some time in order to bring down their price which is very high now. But if you have enough money and you have no time to wait for its price to come down then you can invest in BITCOINS because this may also have some benefit to the market. Profits can be earn by simply trading with the different coins.

actually bitcoin has begun to decrease. I think you should hold off investing on it right now. It has become too high too fast which nearly always ends up with a big dip. If i was you i would find a good altcoin that you can x2 on in the meantime while you wait for bitcoins soon to be coming dip in price. Once it starts falling it should halve in value pretty quickly as all the whales in asia dump at the same time.

It's natural for corrections to be effected any time there's a major increase and so whiles the system correct itself you can hold on but i don't even thing it's going to decline any significantly to warrant a pause investing if you have the means.

Price of bitcoin has risen so fast and so high, and that is bound to fall down. So now is not best time to invest into bitcoin, because price will go down for sure. What i recommend is for you to wait a bit, wait for price to drop to some point which you mean its good and than buy. But even if you buy now you would not make a mistake, because bitcoin price will go up again. It is just matter of time.

Well as what i'm thinking and saying is bitcoin doesn't now in price correction because the can recover and go back as soon as possible because of that there's so many investors waiting that bitcoin got dump, then they buy basically but now? see? it's $15,000 again and it's to fast taht they got recover and got back in the real price. i do not know but buying bitcoin anytime and holding for a longterm is a mass

Hi there newslanka! As of this moment, I think the bitcoin price could still go below 12k, but it is hard to predict and no one as of now could tell that it could go below 10k. My advice is to go and buy bitcoin if you can, yes, there are high and low price, but the real game is not the correct timing when to buy but when to sell it. What if as you wait it to go below 12k and it wont and it reaches to 120k for example, what you could even think is that I should have bought when the price is at 12k. Remember, there could be is no perfect time but what matters is the perfect revenue.  ;)

I believe lots of people have pumped into bitcoin because of the forks in Dec. Come late Dec they will leave and the price will be corrected around 10k. If you want btc at a good price i'd wait until then, or if you go in now you get the forks too.

However no one knows for sure and the price and trends are not comparable to anything before. Some random guy in the internet might not be the best advice.

If you money isn't going anywhere, you have no short term plans for it and you are realistic with what you expect back then invest asap. If the price drops who cares. Stay in long term.

When you posted this one, Bitcoin was $12500 and now, today, at this very moment, Bitcoin is $15,001.40 on CoinmarketCap. I think you know your answer about Bitcoin :)

This is the perfect time to invest a couple of thousand dollars when the price is really huge by any standards  :P no one who is sane enough would not even bet to see a valuation of ten thousand a few months back and now the price has crossed those valuations with ease and you wanted to invest at this price is not the wisest choice i would say.

I would wait.  The whales are driving down prices!  May get them below $9,000.00 before they are done.  Then when futures treading starts they will go long and drive prices sky high.  This way they win, win.  This is a market manipulators dream.  They will continue doing this till they make a ton of money and buy back bitcoin at a rate unprecedented. It will be the inevitable demise of the Bitcoin over $15.00

Depends on what your goal is, if it's 10x gains I'm hesitant to say that is the upside now. If you just want to treat it like gold then I'd say go in.

I think there is more potential to be made in altcoins myself.

Bitcoin is one of the most profitable and risky financial instrument in the all available markets so it makes it very difficult to decide. You buy around 13K now and it goes to 5K or you don't buy now at it goes to 30K. To be or not to be.

In my opinion, thanks to the deep analysis of the market that I run Bitcoin may exceed the limit of $ 15,000 before the beginning of 2018. Of course, it is worth investing, but it involves a certain risk. The sooner the better.
