Title: Monero
Post by: ICEXch on December 06, 2017, 02:31:10 PM
The ICEX analysts team presents a technical analysis of the Monero crypto currency,

Monero - number 9 by capitalization among the Cryptocurrencies, on the weekly chart for the third time demonstrates the same pattern of growth.
Namely: every time the price of consolidation, tranquility and the point of launch of a wave grows to its peak, the price grows 3 times sharply
1. from $ 20 to $ 60
2. from $ 50 to $ 150
and now
3 from $ 80 to $ 240
In addition, it seems that this is the fifth Elliot wave.
Therefore, in spite of the fact that the Moving Average Crossing indicator is still in the purchase, we lower the recommendation on XMRUSD from Buy to Hold
And we recommend placing a buy order in the area of $ 160

You can view the charts on our Facebook account: www.facebook.com/ICEX.CH/

Yeah, one of the rising cryptocurrencies is Monero. Which by the way comes from the international language (not so international though, haha) Esperanto and means simply money. I have been watching it develop, but not too closely. Their idea was to create a digital currency that provides anonymity for senders and receivers on the blockchain. It's in fact evolving, maybe I should get some Moneros:)

It rose a little too fast in the past few days, I'm guessing it'll correct a little bit before bumping back up. I believe in it long term, by the way. It could have the privacy-oriented half-brother of the bitcoin.

I really like the recent news https://www.forbes.com/sites/laurashin/2017/12/05/cryptocurrency-monero-to-be-accepted-by-45-musicians-such-as-mariah-carey-g-eazy-sia-for-holidays/ (https://www.forbes.com/sites/laurashin/2017/12/05/cryptocurrency-monero-to-be-accepted-by-45-musicians-such-as-mariah-carey-g-eazy-sia-for-holidays/) related to Monero, since it's for once something concrete you can use a crypto currency for. We've seen how crypto kitties are doing too.

I also like the idea of people starting to demand more privacy especially in US. The Equifax scandal and many more should have outraged a lot of people. If they now get a chance to keep their privacy and even get discounts from using Monero, it's going to be good. People have a lot of time to sit on their PCs during the holiday season and shop online, so the demand should go up. Hard to say how much of this is priced in today's gains for example. Monero has always been one of the cryptos that's always next in the list, but something else with more potential comes first. Now I've finally invested some money to Monero yesterday anticipating a move to the next level in December.

I've been looking at Monero for some time but couldn't decide on an appropriate entry point. Thanks for this Elliot Wave count.

When do you think the price of monero will touch back to $160.. The price was increased too high after 7 days almost 22% increased..
And i think there are lots of miners right now are going to mine monero and its more profitable..
But i don't think that the price of monero could continue to increase before end of this year..

Monero (https://coincodex.com/crypto/monero/) will prolly correct to $250 and then go for another jump which will probably happen after new year. But everything depends on what will happen to Bitcoin after December 10th/18th (Bitcoin Futures (https://coincodex.com/article/1104/cme-bitcoin-futures-contracts-set-to-launch-on-december-18/)).

Monero had quite a good run this year, went up over 20x :)

I have heard that Monero is about to be accepted as a form of payment by many musicians, for being anonymous is tempting to many. I think that Monero goes up again.

ETC, LTC, MONERP, DASH, ETH grade coins will still increase compared to fiat money
But will the world of crypto continue to improve over the next few years?

Monero coins are actually not difficult to be mined. One way of mining monero that I recommend is to use a virtual private server (vps). There may be development and increase in the moment the price of bitcoin is unbearable anymore. :)

IMHO Monero is one of the best Altcoins out there, and most likely the future winner of the most popular privacy coin. Solid fundamentals, great community and development team - those are the reasons why this coin is about to stay for a long time. I believe that in 10 years time, Monero will still be there with some solid purpose - keeping privacy in more and more regulated crypto market.

Yet, I have to agree that recent rise in price is a little bit too rapid and unsustainable (just like the whole Market right now). That is why, I believe we will get some some solid correction soon. Nevertheless, Monero has a great potential for growth. No doubt about that.

Actually recently monero is in news because of this ;
https://www.coindesk.com/now-can-buy-mariah-carey-g-eazy-albums-monero/?
Quote
A group of well-known musicians including Mariah Carey, Marilyn Manson and more has begun accepting the privacy-oriented cryptocurrency monero.

However now it looks like hype of monero is over and people might start to take out profit so some pull back or larger correction on price is possible which can push price to below $200 soon.

Well, what can i say,? I really am not shocked about this. Because clearly, if you look at the monero's ideology, or concept, you will really see how great this altcoin is. It is an undeniable fact that monero will become something big a few months or years from now. Which is why i invested on it. Didn't want to make the same mistake i did when i ignored bitcoin 7 years ago.

I have a spare POS laptop with a pentium processor. Thinking about cleaning it up and dedicating it to mining monero. Would it be worth it to get started, or should I invest in some better hardware?

There are too many good news for Monero which leads the quick growth of Monero recently. The first, John McAfee praised Monero in Real News show. The second, the Monero's devs noticed that they will develop Coral Reef project, it is a Music shopping online platform. The last, Mr. Quesnelle from Michigan University said that Zcash is not safe.

If that is the true calculation then I think its worth investing into this coin. This day everything looks positive but somehow I'm not sure about only one coin specifically and one can not ever trust single crypto in this crypto land! ;-)
So its better to get into profile investment where we choose more than five coins at least and thus this way we can create multiple entry point and multiple odds of winning the game.

Monero is good coin but what to say about the alt coins, there are so many and can't just make the right decision so better to invest in multiple coins.

I think mining with laptop is not worth doing it because the has rate you will get is very very less. Its juts not simple to mine with it and earn huge profits. You might end up with more electricity bills than the earnings.

They are trade in oscillation, waves. It goes up, down, up. OP is suggesting the down correction/consolidation around $160, then the next spike should hit $480ish, supposedly.
