Title: Who else is having bitinstant problems? Post by: vicdoogan on July 10, 2013, 01:42:23 PM So I'm a newbie so I can only post here, but I've been waiting 15 days for a transfer to my bank account. Their support took forever to respond then said they'd "manually" do the transaction about 6 days ago and still nothing happened. They have not responded on Twitter or through support tickets since. I even tried calling their google voice number.
Basically, I've found out through twitter that I'm nowhere near the only person that is having this happen to them. According to the Bitinstant TOS (https://www.bitinstant.com/static/doc/bi_terms.pdf) (top of page 5), they're supposed to either give the funds back or contact you to somehow get them to you if they don't complete a transaction within 10 days. Since the TOS is a legal agreement that they violated, I'm looking for other people who are still in limbo for a possible class-action lawsuit. As I said I have tried contacting Bitinstant, even mentioning legal action, to no avail. They can't just keep our money indefinitely. |
