We actually were the first full casino to begin accepting Bitcoin. Prior to us there were a couple small attempts at Blackjack and coinflip games, and there was a poker site that shortly went out of business. We opened July 19th, 2011.

The Top in Top Bitcoin Sites refers to the popularity of a site: in this case facebook-fans + twitter-followers + up/down votes (= karma) on Top Bitcoin Sites.
PS: No...it has nothing to do with affiliates or stuff...at all! That would be silly!

Is this formula waterproof...? No not at all, since the Bitcoin community is a bit 'social media shy'...but it does help us index the sites initially. The down/up votes will do the rest, we hope.

Does it work? Absolutely.
Is it perfect? No, not yet...it will be...after a while, when the community grows and the Bitcoin 'goes more mainstream'.

Twitter/Facebook fans and followers can be bought on fiverr for $5 in the thousands. You shouldn't rely on it for any type of ranking. Alexa/Quantcast/Compete is what you should be looking at.

Would like to see how they rank by webpage visits, so we can tell popularity.

bit777, I understand that you want to promote your business, but do you really need to do it everywhere? I feel like you've made at least 1 post in every gambling thread saying that "yes, we are the best site. Even the people above us aren't good so use us". I don't have anything against you or your site, but I feel like you're laying it on a bit thick.

I believe the post I've made is incredibly relevant as traffic rank is the best way to reveal the true impact of a website, hence it must be considered in something like a Top10 ranking.

Apart from that, we have an aggressive marketing strategy, and so far it is producing great results. I am sorry if I have bothered you in any way, it is not done intentionally.

To be fair, I've considered ánd build the Alexa traffic ranking also: after testing it thoroughly it'll be implemented and the ranking will be more representative indeed.

The user who wrote this took our free $10 signup bonus 13 times. He was storing 9 of them for future use. He won once and we PAID him even though we knew at that point about at least one additional account that he had. We also did not ban him at that time. Our system automatically froze his most recent account. AFTER we paid him he wrote saying "you banned me for winning!!!" Then he said it was "his brother" who tried to sign up. This was actually AFTER we had already unbanned him (as we routinely do for minor infractions). Then he made up a bunch of lies about how he had promoted us on facebook, which would explain the other 11 accounts in question. Finally we banned him simply for being a completely scamming liar.

This person has never deposited on our site, has opened 13 fake accounts, and we gave him about $160 for free. He wasn't banned until long after we had cashed him out and asked him to be an affiliate...an offer that we retracted when we realized what he was doing.

We have never banned anyone for winning. It's one of this guy's lies. In fact the only people we ever banned were Dooglus and his friends, and even he will say that we did right by paying them out (over $1000).

This guy is a liar and a scammer. Here are the rest of his aliases that we know about:

Perpetueno, Riddikulo, Sarlanga, piticorti, dameplata, pitolargo, cucanegra, tecojo, nienpedo (you can see these are mostly just spanish insults), Chitafea, thelinkforo

He comes off addresses around 250-25*-*-*.fibertel.com.ar or 181.29.*.* in Buenos Aires. He just turns his router off and gnomes a new address. Our recommendation to other casinos is to ban his whole IP subnet with prejudice, but in any event, nothing of what he's said here is true. And we have a lot of material to show he's linked to every IP for every one of these fake accounts.

The ranking has been adjusted: Now Alexa traffic is leading, then facebook+twitter and then Top Bitcoin Sites votes and the list (http://topbitcoinsites.com/category/gamesgambling/) is more like the above one now.

Not the greatest ranking I've seen.  Can you breakdown those stats you said earned the sites their spot, think something is not right there.  Even some type of poll would work better.

The initial ranking was based on FB fans + Twitter followers + votes on Top Bitcoin Sites (http://topbitcoinsites.com)...NOW, the ranking is more representative, 'cause the traffic of a site is leading!

peerdice and just-dice, (ok fine, and doge-dice!). just-dice has the best rep and is correspondingly a more trustworthy place to play (31k roll). Peerdice bankroll is much smaller (.31k) though it got a nice facelift recently.

Playing against a high house edge of 1.9% like satoshidice has is crazy. There is a massive difference between a 1.0% and 1.9% edge. With Peerdice or Just-Dice one is very likely to come out positive ... provided one knows when to stop.

Why do you guys bump this thread? Not only it is very old and outdated (July 2013), the list of gambling sites includes Coin of Midas (a PTC site) and Bitvisitor (a site that pays you to visit sites).

Top Bitcoin Sites (http://topbitcoinsites.com/) itself is still very up-to-date and we had just recently a soft-launch of the new version.
