If you are new to programming I would you recommend to learn Java and from there you have many options.
Java is used to program in android so you can develop a variety of apps. From Java you can move also to C# if you
are interested in making games with unity. Unity is a great way to make games for multiple platforms.

If you want to learn computer programming language than you should start with C. C program is  the basic of all computer programming language. So learning C program is very essential. You should start with C program.

There was "easy" rather than "correctly".  OP, it is definetely some "young" language easy to learn.


Also difficulty is depends on Your basic Computer Science knowledge.
But first of all You have to answer a question - what exactly you going to do. Some languages are most suitable for one tasks - see example with Java and Android.

I think Java and C# are great for learning programming there are a of resources on internet about them.

You need to really want to otherwise it would be a waste of time.
But generally it's a great direction.

Ruby on Rails can also be your choice when you want to wrestle in the world of web development. Learning Ruby is a bit easier because it does not need to learn a lot of commands. Some big sites like Goupon and Github use Ruby on their backend.

Python is fairly easy to pick up and has some excellent applications.

It's hard to give you a good recommendation without knowing what you want to accomplish though.

I think, the easiest language is java. Is statically typed, almost, nothing is changing in syntax, api and you have big job opportunity, songs perfect. But for me it's not fun to code on java any more, there are a lot of great languages and platforms out there. All you need, is to try. My personal preference are: ruby, js, python.

All of them are easy to learn, hard to master, just like human languages!

Why everybody think that C++ is something scary? I studying C++ it is very clear language to understand.

I think that the simplest way is to learn by doing, so do not choose a specific language but choose what you want to do. After that it's possible to search an appropriate "tool".. i started building games with unity 3d and learned C# because of it.

For me it was C. If you begin with this low-level programming language then you'll be learn others easily..
Or you can try to begin with Python. It's much pure  ;)

At my opinion Java PHP HTML and Javascript is the most friendly languages for a newbie.

Start with hard coding using high level programming like Pascal and then once you got to know the basics of that, you can go to object pascal which is Delphi.

It depends on what you think when you say to learn a programming language. If you mean catching up with syntax then I would suggest some language that is clearly written and similar to english, e.g. visual basic or python. However, every language is the same in it's basis, at least as far as it goes for object oriented programming languages. When you learn one OO language then it's quite easy to learn others, it's only the matter of getting used to different syntax. But to truly learn to program in any language takes a long time. I think it takes around 5 years to really master programming. From that point on you should have enough experience to use any programing language that suits your task the best.

I learned Java first then C# and moved to different languages and platforms from there.  Once I learned the basics on these to, it was very easy to branch out into other languages very quickly.  I am not an expert in any of them, but I can get around enough to accomplish moderately difficult tasks.

Most of the high-level programming language is easy to learn as long as you know the basics of programming - all that you left is the syntax and ... Documentation (*cough* Google).

C++ and also java

I'm a software developer and i think the easiset programming languages to learn are Java and Phyton. The hardest, in my opinion, are Javascript and Haskell.

 

For starters i suggest you must learn the basics step by step, so first with HTML then CSS then PHP,  you can learn this in w3schools website or try on youtube. So you need patience upon learning coz nothing is easy. Goodluck you can do it.

Let's start from the beginning.
There are programming languages (make the computer to do something) and descriptive (or graphical if you wish) languages (describe how something should be displayed).
Second group contains html, css and maybe some others. Here you only need to know the language itself and to have a good eye for colors, proportion etc. However you cannot do too many things only wit these. You will need at least Javascript knowledge in addition.
First group contains a lot of languages for a lot of purposes: Javascript, C++, C#, vb.net, php etc etc. Knowing just the language itself is not nearly  enough. All of these languages require a deep understanding of how to organize and structure a task into simple commands. If you master this, any language is more or less easy afterwards.
So my suggestion for you is to start with basics: pseudocode, basic instructions, logical schemes. Then learn about objects, inheritance etc. Then you are good to go and you can start learning almost any language. I would suggest any high level language like C#, which is closer to spoken english.
Btw, being able to read and understand english (at least) is a must. All languages are based on english and all their documentation, help, books are written in english.

Then after that, migrate to either JAVA or C#.
What's important in programming is the foundation/principles and you can learn whatever language you want.

Extremely correct comment. Deep understanding of basics of computer science is most important thing for easyest entrance to developers world. In additional I have to say that learning programming is not so hard now, if compare with '90. Now we have stackoverflow, github and other useful sources.

First try Java, then from there you can now try C#.

I suggest PHP. It has many CMS and  framework and is used widely though out the world for creating web applications.

Also it is open source and has great compatibility with MySQL database.

Total bias. While python is a nice language, python developers earning that much is way off base as well. Earning potential is still with C# and Java in the corporate enterprise. Python and Ruby guys tend to already know either java, C#, C++, or a combination of them.

Objective C is tied to iOS development, so typically the job is in a boutique mobile consulting firm, which can be feast or famine.

Depends what your trying to do with it. I'd say Java. Am not a huge fan as i prefer C#, but Java is much simpler than C#, so i would pick Java.

People are saying C; i don't recommend C (except for the fundamentals) even though i like it as it is harder and you are limited by no friendly guis, so just cmd line programs.

I don't really know Python myself, but am guessing it would be a good alternative to Java.

Yes if you're pursuing to be a web developer go with this. Once your done with basics try the advance like using framework such as code igniter or laravel.

I think the programming language that is easy to learn is JAVA because it has basic syntax.

C# isn't just for Microsoft development. I do game development with it using the Unity3d engine. Other game engines also support it, like the unreal engine. Unity can quickly compile your game to work with any platform, so this idea that C# is only a microsoft thing is quickly evaporating, thanks to projects like monodevelop.

I would agree that python is a great language, but really, you just need to learn one in order to understand the concepts. When you are just starting out, one is just as good as the others. Once you understand the concepts, picking up another language is much easier.

Python is a good choice.

You could start learning programming on C++ or C# but before that i highly recommend to study first about the theory of programming language.

Php i think is easy to learn but if you want something more advanced and still easy to learn then go for Golang. It's a google new programming language.

For me php was a little bit easy

html is relatively easy to learn.
for programs you should determine which language youll be using to develop your code.
c++ is an important  language for programming.

For me it is python that was the first language that I learned myself. Many people told me to start with it as it being easy. It is easy in sense that it's syntax is close to English unlike other languages. So you can easily understand it.

I wondered the same but now think it wouldn't be worth my time investment. I'd like to know of a site which is peer-to-peer and matches up rookies like me with a skilled programmer who can write some code that does a certain job for me. Any suggestions? (this occurred to me when i was having a frustrating time trying to sync up gekko trading BOT software)

Begin with C and you'll learn every inch of programming  ;)
Then continue with C++ and Java for OOP.
Java is very similar with C#. You can learn it too if you want.
In the other hand, if you gonna learn for web developing staff then it is simple; begin with html + php  :)

especially when using java to create android apps in android studio, the intellij its very helpful when i need its auto hint.

For me, Visual Basic is easy to learn because it uses English-like language where you can make if-then statements and a lot more. It is almost as if you're just making english commands on your computer. It's a programmer-friendly PL.  ;)

If your getting started try JAVA or PHP.

I think it would be c++ hand down. I have tried many languages and this thus far is the easiest to understand and it has far reaching capabilities. A whole bunch of support online if you ever get stuck and you will feel like a true hacker.

I started with python. I think it is very simple to learn. Which ever language it is, the most important thing is that at some point you'll experience your program not working, at that point you can't quit, but have to keep pushing and trying to find the answer.

I think python seems to be the easiest programming language to learn as a beginner, from they you can move to php.
