Cryptokitties is causing a lot of overload on etherum network, when will this stop?

If one silly use case like cryptokitties is congesting ETH, I'd be VERY worried as an investor.

Crypto kitties are taking most of the load in Ethereum blockchain and due to this most of the ICOs are delaying their crowdsale.

Once Raiden improved at a right time. Then we can be at safer side.

When Ethereum is going to PoS... Proof of stake will stop the overload i think

Kittens delaying scams. What a time to be alive.

With the succes of Cryptokitties I fear all the copy cats with new games.

it seems the etherium will not stop for cause. etherium itself is now increasingly climbing high with a fairly large value.

When people get sick of the game. I hope that will be soon.

What are those cryptokitties you are talking about? Can someone explain it to me? Does this matter affects the transaction of all ethereum? If that so is this connected to Etherdelta? That makes me not be able to withdraw my eth.

its a game on the eth network where you can buy and sell virtual cats basically, the game takes around 15% of the network

Hey.. At least miners are busy :)

Cryptokitties have revealed the scalability problems of ETH. Raiden can't come soon enough!

Cryptokitties is causing a lot of overload on etherum network, when will this stop?

I also have this question, can it be network problem or mining? At least here for me is very slow, taking hours for a transaction.

This thing is such a parasite for the market. I hope that soon it will be solved because as an investor it is a concerning problem to face.

May be! But the big prolem from ETH fork in this times!
In some day! I can not sent ETH to other wallet!

Wait for ethereum 2.0. The already have a solution for it, just not deployed yet.

I see this kind of stress testing of the system is a very positive thing. Developers can test the new upgrades to the network and verify that they'll sustain the higher loads. Hopefully the next iteration of the ETH code will be more resilient.

Do you think they can deploy it tomorrow? I don't think so. In conclusion Ethereum blockchain is going to be out for one or more months. The actual blockchain in production is just like a beta version of the blockchain?

Am I having many difficulties when it will be resolved? There are cons of this situation, which is the addition of gas, but there is also the pos, which is that every system is not perfect, and has the possibility to be improved.

Well, looks like it won't stop till people will be tired with that game. Maybe Buterin will do something to make the platform faster. We'll see.

IDK, cryptokitties make Ethereum network congestion
Some markets stops widthdrawal and deposit on Ethereum network
I Transfers my balance from delta to mywallet still pending and not arrive, maybe rejected by blockchain
Now, ethereum have 19130 Pending txns and ~700.000 transaction per day

I see at this time still 19k delayed transaction in etherscan, but transaction is not dominated again by cryptokitties. Transactions are still crowded and the network is not yet stable. Until when we have to wait for this problem can be resolved

In the course of this question it is difficult to answer accurately, you just have to wait. But it seems to me, because of this situation, the price for Ethereum can affect, if the problem is not eliminated in the near future.

This situation with Cryptokitties clearly shows I know nothing about the world around me. Who could have thought that stupid game will cause such a problems in ethereum network. This game could have easily be created without ethereum, but they chose to use it, maybe it was planned from the very beginning.

They need to do a hardfork. There isn't many options

According to ETH Gas Station, the CryptoKitties game accounts for over 10% of network traffic on Ethereum. As traffic increases, transactions become more expensive to execute quickly.

"The real big issue is other major players looking for alternatives to Ethereum and moving to different systems," Mr Hileman said.

"There's definitely an urgency for Ethereum to try and address this issue."

Ethereum blockchain is really congested right now due to crypto-kitties. However, if you're in a bit urgent for trading, you can set your gas up to 50 gwei. Cost around 3-6$ per transaction. Not pretty sure on it. Unfortunately, Ethereum blockchain will be fixed in the month of January. (No specific source, I just read it at my newsfeed.)

Crypto-kitties is an blockchain based game where you can buy and sell cats for ETH. You can also pair some cats and so you will get new cats with new Gens.
Here is the official web site: https://www.cryptokitties.co (https://www.cryptokitties.co)

And here an Youtube Video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ff-MptS53z8) from TenX

Totally agree with you on this one. As of now, it is putting too much hassle on ethereum and really, it is just one case. What if there will be more cryptopets in the future since this turned out to be successful? Hold much congestion and overload will eth have?
