I'm personally a fir; believer in the Monero project, it has stayed in the top 10 in marketcap for year now and I can only see it grow further.
The need for a privacy centered cryptocurrency will only increase as governments put more restrictions on the use of crypto.

Even now we're seeing Monero's value increase while other altcoins go down. It has definitely been a good year, despite being outperformed by Bitcoin.

I will go for IOTA because i really just amazed how this digital currency has placed itself on top 4 of cryptocurrencies with high market capital. If i can invest on it since it's just only 3$, that'll be a good price and you'll just let it stay in your wallet and wait for a couple of months or years.

They will spend 40 million $ in 2018 to expand.
They aren't even listed at the huge exchanges because the foundation didnt want to pay for it. But for 2018 they wanna join every big exchange. Once they are listed, their volume and price will explode.

Oax, ethereum, stratis and pillar are my favorites for 2018. But if bitcoin continues to rise that way, things will be different.

I think, Ill just stick to holding those coins Im fond of which are btc, eth and ltc. I am also planning to obtain some coins from ICO specially from ICO related with lending service because I see great potential for those kind of platforms.

For me my picks are waves and spectre.ai that has ongoing ICO. I picked spectre.ai because I trust their project and I have also joined bounty as well. On the other hand I chose waves because I think it will be the most pumped coin in 2018. As of now it is way too undervalued and it will surely rise after the updates are released, namely waves-ng. I am sure that when it is released, waves will become one of the fastest running blockchain that have ever existed.

My pick is SAFEX because it's still so cheap for big gains in the future crypto markets. New website, alpha, whitepaper coming by the end of the year. Should see it's marketplace running by mid 2018. Ethereum has become a flagship altcoin,This etherium is the same as bitcoin, but more to its development.ether (ETH) has increased almost 40-fold from the price of 8 USD to the price of 300 USD.

I'm personally holding FUN for Q1 2018 and OmiseGO/ARK for the entire year. I think these 3 coins will at least 5x in price, which is a very conservative prediction given the amount of attention crypto has been getting lately and all the new users joining the market.

I agree with you on spectre...this token will probably turn upside-down this whole industry. I noticed there is a lot of copycats already out there but non of them have working prototype and dividend like spectre.

Many coins will have news in Q1 2018 and many of them will rise up. I am watching on XLM, Einsteinium, Ethereum, FunFair. Also I have invested in INS Ecosystem ICO - so I hope they will also come to exchanges and making a great useful project.

I agree with this. I will do the same because btc and eth build their own reputations. Trusting them is now easy because i know how to handle their volatility. And also, i believe in year 2018, their price will set an awesome record. I hope that would happen because a lot us will surely benefit.

I believe in 2018 the coin that will greatly increase is the waves and I am sure the price of the waves will be like Etherium

The cryptocurrency industry is really helpful for a lot of users who doesnt have a stable job and can generate extra income for all of those users. I believe Electroneum will be a great cryptocurrency in 2018 because it is one of the most successful Campaigns recorded in the forum. Bitcoin and Ethereum will still go up though and that is a sign of improvement.

I've been picking altcoins pretty well so far, having been in very early for NEO, IOTA, and ADA.

I also have other supply chain related coins that are not very noticed but I think will do very well: Ambrosus (for food supply chain), and INS, which has a partnership with Ambrosus and has an upcoming ICO.

Another coin I really like is Obsidian -- a platform for private smart contracts and is a fork of stratus. Obsidian is to ethereum what monero is to bitcoin.

For me, the cryptocurrency am looking forward to in 2018 is centra although the crypto is still around 40 cent but with the team behind the project and their product the crypto can moon to $10 by 2018.

I'm still a strong believer in DeepOnion. The community is still exploding and drawing in investors and even if it only grows to Dogecoin levels, it will be a 5x gain from current levels.

Request.network would be a hit currency if their visualized ecosystem is progressing well, i would look further into energy trading related projects as globally are moving towards green, renewable energy, even my country's own public electrical supplier is considering to basically lease/selling packages of extra energies to crypto-miners. I speculate energy trading would be treated equally like how this year primed succeed startup that focused on cards (Monaco, Tenx), another solid fact are there already more traders starting to into crypto, so exchange related projects with a degree of core competency like Binance coin, COSS would grow.

Bitcoin is certainly the undisputed champion of not only 2017 but all the past and next years to come because it simply went crazy and got promoted all over the world thus making it's consumers , holders , investors and adopters numbers go to the moon . It managed to score a huge success over this past year making all other altcoins far behind it in the race and due to the further increasing demand it'll certainly grow even more . So bitcoin is my pick for sure , Eth might get the second spot because it simply got an utility unlike other altcoins .

Enjin Coin, Einsteinium and Cardanoare coins of my choice for 2018

WAVES for me. To make a great story in 2018. We're very close to the end of the year, but waves already make good movements. Went very near $11 now and the climbing up process will continue for it.

Oyster PCL is the most promising ICO of this 4th quarter and I believe it will soon increasing more this 2018. It is indeed a good ICO for me and it will soon par Ethereum, IOTA and other Top Altcoins next year and I'm excited for that fact.

I have three personal preferences that i chose asfter a LOT of research:
1. ETP - Project by Eric Gu. He is very busy with meetings making etp more popular. A strong solid project and the price right now is perfect for buying.
2. ETN- Even if it had a failed launch (they announced that they will relaunch this week) i still think that they`re ideea is a win. I am sure that te coin will moon and users will mass adopt it.
3. TRADE coin - It is for the moment in the ICO stage and it will launch in Ianuary. Thys is a very prommising project that wants to fill a big gap in the needs of the cryptoworld users. The price in the ICO is very low and this is the coin that will make everyone beautifull money.

Tron and Eth. Both believe in them deeply, first for idealism and second for profit  ;D

LTC and Monero.

Ethereum is my crypto currency of 2018. I belive that it have the most powerful potential among altcoins and that its price will double soon. I am also holding BTC and still trading both BTC and ETH. I think this are the best crypto currencies right now.

Pure percentage-wise it will be something under 500 million in market cap. Ark and PascalCoin are ones that I know about. There are many others I have yet to research.  Personally I think PASC should be trading 20-40 times it's current market cap, and Ark should be above Lisk, around $1.2 to $1.5B.

I think next year altcoin that will crawl up is Edgeless, Minexcoin, Monaco and Ethereum, all the coins have a great future and I invest there

Fortunately, every year the altcoin market seems to be pushing the borders towards new and unsuspected limits, so I am sure that the altcoin of 2018 has not yet been launched or is in the process of being developed. In the same way, at this point in 2016 we did not know that in 2017 there would be phenomena like Cardano, Iota or even DeepOnion with all its controversy.

But I have no doubt that 2018 will be a year of wonderful and exciting surprises that will undoubtedly go beyond this dying and surprising 2017. I really love this crypto universe!

For me my pick is still bitcoin because of it's rapid growth, insane price leaps and stable price. It is a good long term investment for assets a safe haven for your money and in 2018 it may reach new all time highs with it's original technology which is the blockchain that is unhackable, decentralized also with anonymity and it is the 1st and the king of all crypto currencies.

Many coins have a great future, I can't tell you which one to buy you have to chose it by your self.

Also, read the white paper and see if the project is genuine and not only a copy paste or a replica of another one.
Personally, I am interested in Herocoin and Bankex, Devs are doing a great job and they are very active.
If you still don't know which to chose just invest in known ones like ETH, LTC, XMR...

With so many ICOs, I can't really tell which one is the best option, but I believe in the potential of DeepOnions and IOTA.

First of all it's IOTA. If the market 'll grow with current pace, I see IOTA reaching a 100 bn cap in 2018 - so basically a 40$ price

Those are on my bag, most of them are bitcoin. i think those coins will be keep flying on 2018, i'm sure because i see the potential of them. i still prefer to hold them for now and still wait the right time to sell them little by little.

Surely ETH, more than half of my portfolio in this coin. Zcash and Monero good choice because of their privacy. I believe in Stratis, this coin can reach $ 20 mark in near future.

I personally beleive in bitcoin and ethereum. I will continue holding in bitcoin as there are predictions from whale investors that bitcoin might be above $25000 in 2018. I have decided to keep rest of my investment in ethereum, as altcoin, ethereum has very conservative market against other altcoins.
There are possiblities ether may reach $1000 , in this case,  my ether  amount will get doubled by end of 2018

I will say the ETN (Electroneum) project. It has a nice road map and its developers keep on developing there project. It not like other projects that once started within a week the developers abandon it.

Eth is the best altcoins in 2018.

I am all in with etherium. Its was about 300 when bitcoin was 3000. Now that bitcoin is at almost 20000, it is only 600 as of today. However it should have also done a 10x, so that would bring it to 3000 maybe in long term.

Litecoins and Dash are the only crypto currencies I will invest , trade and research on in 2018.

for sure altcoins have a future... you just have to find a "use-case" that works, some of the altcoins have real business behind... so for example BLOCKv, MODUM, SIACOIN, QUANTUM, FEATHERCOIN, CASHAA, SIRINLABS, MILC etc.

My cryptocurrency i want to get and hold for the year 2018 onwards are etheruem, bitcoin and waves.

If choose from those who can show the greatest growth, there are Raiden, XEM, NEO and Ardor in my opinion.

komodo will have to do more to attract more value growth. it is doing good work taying on the top 100 coin on cmc but the value drop is large. I just seem not to see much need for privacy coin like in previous years

Unlike the year and value bitcoin always get listed to the potential cryptocurrency. Apart from the same by the year 2018 ethereum is expected to peak and reach much higher value. When the ethereum grows high in value automatically the tokens functioning on the ethereum smart contract platform will grow.

my prediction of cryptocurrency in 2018 is the rising of bitcoin and also of altcoins such as ethereum and litecoin, i already holding these coins because there are many rises of them is this year, they have rising more than 200% in one year, so next year is a good year for bitcoin and altcoins to develope.

It's Bitcoin and Etherium. And this is absolutely. Significant growth of bitcoin, so the trend will continue in 2018.

I want to recommend INS coin which token sale is live on December, 2017. This is a good project with new idea and experience team. Important i'm sure that INS Ecosystem is a successful ICO because they sold 91% their token and most likely they will reach hard cap 60,000 ETH at the time end of ICO 25, December.

Got a bunch of 'em, but first and foremost comes EOS for me. Just so much potential here. Of course, we won't have the same scenario as with eth (or will we?), but I'm seeing a 10-20x. The technology is very promising. I'm excited about dash also. It's probably gonna be a decently adopted payment method, given that they have an increase in monthly budget every time the price goes up.

I think right after one more huge bear market lasting months, bitcoin's crazy bullish trend will happen to altcoins. By altcoins I mean ALL top altcoins. People entering market around right now all will be richer. maybe not millionaire but richer than now.

I have just 3 here in my wallets that i am personally holding for future purposes because i know that these things are gonna make my long term investment that will turn me into a millionaire. In 2018, so many new coin will rock and get the new exciting price.That will give the new surprise to thier crypto currency holder holder.These some coin will definitely stand with double value. Pura,Deeponion,Arn,Stratis,Waves,Xvg,Ethereum,Dgb.If any type of fall down come in these coin then after these coin recover it very fast and many old investor like these coins.

I think the best cryptocurrency that will make increase and will be like skyrocket are Utrust, Waves, Eth, Earth token(currently running ico so far), Adex, and Rlc.

2018 for me is going to be year of ethereum. See the stability and excellent service that ethereum platform has offer this year alone. There is indeed more to ethereum platform and we should be seeing it price rise in future.

ripple is always in every trader's favorite coins because the ripple will give a good price even though it is still cheap but if time goes by the coin can get a high price.

For more than a year I am loyal to Ethereum and I will not change this currency on any other. I think it will continue to grow and one day the price of will be about the same as a Bitcoin price.

I have lots of faith that Ripple will become big this new year, with this $100mil hedgefund happening, it should be a big boost for the Altcoin. I expect it to go $1 by early 2018.

I feel that Ripple will make a break through this new year, its been given a $100mil hedgefund and this will be like a boost towards Ripple. Banks are using its technology and they will continue to use for many years to come.
It's cheap to invest in now, but soon it will be worth alot more. In theory Ripple can beat the Bitcoin value - and i hope that will come true.

I believe that my coin will be mtt..Based on blockchain technology.. platform that will allow compensation for human time..sounds really futuristically))

I really feel hopeful for coins like Ethereum. I really would like to see Ethereum go as high as $1K by the end of the year.

there are some potentially good crypto for the future. I think all are familiar with eth, waves and others.
and there is a new token that has a good future.
I think you should find out more about other crypto if you want to make a profit.

In 2018 for me, the main currency will be Eth But also I hope Ripple will bring me a lot of profit. Perhaps in the new year I will be privately surprised by NEM and IOTA.

Same choices here specially ethereum and litecoins, they truly has become stable and gradually increasing specially this year. I think they are worth holding and would even double their own value by the end of 2018.

Every now and then there's so many coins and token emerging in crypto world, but i always prefer on high price value coins for next year evven for long term holding. My number one coin is bitcoin followed by altcoins ethereum, litecoin and wave. These coins i believed that there's have a grate potential to earned more if I have invested so, now i hold these coins for better future.

I will go with NAGA project.

im considering holding all of this for 4 to 5 years or longer of  time.

my top 5 altcoin for 2018 are:

these are my top altcoins to be pick and HOLD for a long time of period
i believe on the Project of these all , and i believe this will take flight sooner
and will be next great deal next to Bitcoin, some of the Coins i mentioned
are old time coin next to BTC such as LTC and ETH this two are far better than
Bitcoin in terms of many ways but not on price surely Bitcoin would be the King
for he is the first root of all cryptocurrency without him nothing exist also
for all concept of digital currency came to Bitcoin.
