Title: Is Battlefield 3 any good?
Post by: ryderA on July 11, 2013, 08:02:26 AM
I haven't really played PC games in a while and the last BF game I played on PC was 1942 - Desert Combat mod. Yes, it's been a while.

That depends, if you hate the idea of being given poorly balanced weaponry and being forced to re spawn every five seconds because everyone is grenade spam happy rather than actually shoot you then you'll probably hate it as much as I did, the problem is even worse than Battlefield 2, at least there you could partially cure the problem with skill now you just have to die.

BF3 is kind of tired now, I would wait for BF4, it looks much better, its the game BF3 should have been.

I bought it a few months ago and played it for about 40 hours. It was ok. Pretty exciting at first since I had never played any battlefield games before, but it sorta lost its glamor after a while.  I never bought any of the DLC though so I could be missing amazing stuff but it was ok.  I'm planning on buying Battlefield 4 when it comes out. I feel like a more active player base will make the game more exciting.

BF3 isn't too bad, I hear it's more favorable than CoD (though, of course, the die-hard fans will always think that's wrong.)  I'm personally a TF2 nut, over 1k hours logged on it :P  Still not bored with it, though the community can resemble the CoD community at times.
