Since 3 days almost, ETH transactions are very slow and even it get up to 48 hours or more to get confirmed. Also there is no way to send tokens actually unless you pay very high gas fee which is ridiculous and if it will continue this way it will block the ethereum blockchain and destroy Eth
I invested in some ICO projects and not recieved my tokens since 3 days.
Is there any solution expected by ETH devs for this big issue soon ?

Because of a group of cute electronic cats from Canada. These people are simply geniuses, blockchain such a small capacity actually used to develop the game. As a result, the ETH blockchain was completely blocked by cats and almost no transfer was possible for all ETHs and ERC20 TOKEN.

Yes I heard about this game and how it badly affect the ETH blockchain, but is there any solution for this soon ?

your transaction takes 48 hours lucky you, i have not been able to do any single transaction for 3 days now, it is realy fraustrating , many peple are moving over to bitcoin

I also experienced the same thing nowadays I can not mendeposito my token on the stock, what's wrong with mew. I also can not send eth to my other wallet.

We have ethereum stuck from an exchange we are waiting two days for it to appear in our wallet but it has not arrived. You see the miners are giving preference to the cat breeders above all other ETH transactions so the eth blockchain has now been taken over by miners and cats. If this problem is not solved soon I think many people will lose faith in ETHEREUM as it is taken over by the greedy miners. This is another reason why ETH value has crashed, along with all the ERC20 tokens. One stupid cat game has ruined it for the rest of us.

These headless breeders of electronic cats and kittens are ready to pay any amounts of gas, just to speed up the transactions and the kittens were born faster. This is some kind of nonsense. I have all the sales hang day, I'm not ready to pay more gas than before. It's nerves. Notice the growth of waves. There is no bad without good.

ethereum network is incapable of handling large number of transactions. it has already been proven multiple times. twice before that i can recall due to a couple of ICOs which were booming and the third time i know which is now is becuase of these crypto-kitties which are producing a large number of transactions on ETH chain which is making everything else fail...

Developers should have begun to consider this issue, but because of the sudden incident, block block problem is still quite tricky. I was thinking perhaps that vitalik wanted to solve this problem by forking. These cats are annoying

It seems to be a case of just waiting for the hype to fully die down over these kitties and then after that the market can catch up. It wouldn't surprise me also if this is not helped by bitcoins surge, there is probably increased activity in terms of people trying to move funds away from erc20 tokens and in to bitcoin.

It's not high as the bitcoin fees. The average fees in this time was around $0.9 And i've putted more gwei to my ethereum transaction and my transaction just get block confirmation after some seconds. you may need to increase your gwei in my opinion and your transaction will be delivered instantly.

Ethereum blockchain is saturated because the transactions from the players of this new game Crypto Kitties. Now you need to send very high fee in order to get your transaction confirmed fastly, otherwise you need to wait even for several days. I think the hard fork is the unique solution for such problems.

If this alone is causing pathetic congestion on ETH network than it needs some scaling solution first before bitcoin  ;)

There 2 reason that make Eth transactrions slow:
1. Too much hot ico and people set low GAS price
2. Bitcoin transaction become slower + bitcoin withdraw fee increase because of bitcoin price so people start exchange bitcoin to Eth for faster sending.

The whole network is pretty slow right now, we dont know what the fuck is going on. I sent a few ethereums yesterday and the transaction is still stucked with four confirmations (it did not get the six)

It is weird, i have never seen ethereum so collapsed today.

The same is happening with bitcoin, i received some payments yesterday and it is still with zero confirmations, those altcoins are going to collapse soon, i dont know what the fuck is going on.

I need to withdraw some money and i can not because of that, this is pretty desperating.

Well, it seems Ethereum can hold one viral game, if barely. Not sure if any other smart contract blockchain out there can do the same.

Yes, it is because of this garbage, the transactions are very slow and the entire network is nearly frozen ... Something has to be done because the tendency is that more projects like those come up, what puts eth in a serious risk.

I don't think that this issue will be solved soon. The most probable time is a late January. Till that time we have to deal with it by setting higher gas price. I usually check this resource to set the gas price:

Why do you think these are the main reasons ??? But what about this game cryptokitties about which everyone is talking about ??? The most interesting is when everything falls into place.

All because of CryptoKitties. My transactions cleared pretty soon(within 10 minutes) but now exchanges are not letting me withdraw or deposit ETH/ERC-20 tokens for past 3 days. All the wallets are in maintenance mode. It's frustrating to wait as the price of ETH has been dipping due to this. Earlier the issue was resolved in 24 hours but now its still on for 3+ days with 20971+ pending txs.

Just put 70 gwei (like 60 cent) in gas and it'll be done in 1 minute. It's not that eth isn't working, it's just that the miners can be picky.

Nah, it's a viral collectible game on Ethereum blockchain. You can buy, sell and breed imaginary kittens in it.

Sadly it's down to the crypto kitties, it is estimated they are taking up 15/20% of all transactions so ETH developers need to sort this stress test out.

Because of their stupidity to launched stupid cryptokitties game they suffered slow transaction speed thus the whole network is slowed,welldone ethereum.

I have suggested a new EIP to increase the transaction rates and localize the delays ,if any, so that whole world doesn't stop for some Canadian kittens.
Lets hope it gets accepted sooner.

There are lot of unconfirmed transactions and a lot of garbage...
It is also affected by viral games on the etherium blockchain

All these unconfirmed transactions are due to network congestion. Its a busy network right now due to some apps.  :o

Network congestion is the problem, kitty is wrecking it with micro transactions clogging up the network. If Ethereum don't sort this out it will be the downfall of the network.

yes...the cats are blame in all...in this case crypto kittens...I don't recognize the details, but I know that it really overloads the network...it's very nice, if you don't take into account the problems it caused

I also have the same problem, the ethereum network is very slow right now I am waiting forever to cash out my investment. From what I know it is because of CryptoKitties, it is an game like Pokémon but within Ethereum blockchain. This game went viral and make the Ethereum slow down. Right now about 15% of all Ethereum network traffic is dedicated to the game, making it the most popular smart contract on the network so imagine 10 viral game like that...

But besides that, I just sent a transaction from my coinbase account to an exchange and the transaction went through in a couple of minutes. The first confirmation took no time at all. Is it still congested for the rest of you guys or is it fixed, because it looks good from my end.

I think this is because of that game, which increases all of the transactions on a fast basis. This increases the ratio between the transactions and the route that they go through. I hope this issue get sorted out at the start of 2018.

The transaction on ethereum platform are getting better, just increse your Gwei to around 50 and set your gas limit to 200,000 you will be fine. I have been doing this since crypto kitties event and all my transactions confirm in less than 5Min!

Perhaps it's something like a miracle but I made ETH transfer today with 0.0000000714 transaction fees. I'd like to say that the ether network works as before but according to the amount of pending transactions it is not.

It is time to move to others. Waves are good option. And Bitcoin is the best. I think many people will be disapointed with this situation. Will this take place at another time? I think eth users will loose their faith.

Some short term pain but the fact Ethereum is being used for a lot of real world applications, even if spurious, is a great harbinger for the future. Ultimately the winning crypto will be the one that is most useful for something other than just stashing money.

It looks like the Crypto Kitties project/game clogged up the ETH blockchain. That's why I maintain my statement that a replacement or at least an alternative is due for ETH. And I believe STRATIS is the right competitor with sidechains alpha coming this MONTH!

It is funny, how can cats caused such a delay in a transaction. It means Ethereum isn't save for our money.

At least the pending tx already decreased a lot. This just the matter of time until the majority of person will be realizing about the fact the cryptokitties just nothing rather than a cartoon that distributed into the users.

But i feel need to put the maximum gwei for every transaction. that's really difficult to get a confirmation by the block with 30 gwei.

crypto kittens:( gas prices rose above 50-60 gwei for sending some ETH. airdrops stopped, ICO's delayed, this is a serious issue for ETH.
Even some people tried to buy, invest some ETH but due to delays they missed the train.

Neverthought that these kittens are to blame regarding ETH congestion when all along I thought it was because of Bitcoin  ;D Got me curious of how this game works so I'll probably check it out later. There's probably a lot of cat lovers in the crypto world that makes this game a weakness of Etherium. Hope Vitalik could do something about this ETH problem soon.

Due to a busy server and great demand of transactions ethereum is now on maintenance for better and faster transactions but it will be back soon. It is already 4 days almost, ETH transactions are very slow and even it get up to 48 hours or more to get confirmed.

CryptoKitties is the main issue.but if you pay a good transaction fee you can made transaction successfully. I am using Gwei 50 for making transaction right now.

The only possible solution is to invent a much better platform than Ethereum. Lije it is now, Ethereum has proven its limits.

This is the result of a blockchain working in full capacity nonstop. Both Ethereum and Bitcoin are experiencing major growing pains right now, with many people trying to transfer their tokens and having to pay higher than average fees because the demand is higher than supply (talking about the capacity of the system).
