I've personally used Cryengine before - the best real-time engine in my opinion.  Unreal Engine still remains king because of the gaming industry's personnel being so trained on it, but their engine is the UE killer if they can tip the scales.  They've got the funds and base to make a marketplace to rivel Steam.

Hard cap hasn't been announced.  Telegram channel is pretty active.  It's such an unknown project right now.  I hope it stays under wraps until ICO ends (all unsold tokens are burned).  Advertising campaigns will start after the ICO, and app release in a few months.  I'm on Alpha release now.

They've got 1.3m tokens sold and still hadn't reveal any caps, and if they say the token is 0,001 ETH it's about $1.3, it's >$1.5m already. They are quite a big company (considering Crytech) so what's the cap?

I would be very cautious of this project guys, they claim to have raised a lot of money very quickly, with backing from big development companies, yet barely have a following on any form of social media.

I like the idea of crycash ico but my mean concern is the hardcap. its a wonderful project but that hardcap that is hidden isnt really cool with me.

This is what most games are missing, the cross-link through some sort of universal game currency. Most games with an in-game currency allow some kind of trading (e.g.WoW gold allows you to buy other Blizzard products), but trading across different games would be next level. Effort won't go to waste when changing game. Especially when there's also an option to cash out by selling the token.

A very nice aspect of this token is that CryCash is already linked to CryTek (producing games since 1999) and thus the value of the token will most likely hold a tight relation to the success of the games that use the token.

If they manage to create a multiplayer shooter or rpg in which you can collect coins that hold a real value.. seems like a no brainer to me.

It's not your usual ICO with massive media coverage for months and several token sales, long road map and nothing to see yet. They just decided on a date for the launch and that's happening at the moment I think. I bought the lowest amount just to check out, they're in my wallet atm. I assume CryTek is going to do what they are used to doing (developing games), and that sooner or later a game is released that is merged with the CRC platform/coin.

The token price will relate to the success of the games and the gamers eventually.

I smell potential for people who are good in that kind of thing and have the spare time to do so. This "freelance" market for game development and design might be what some people have been looking for. It's not easy to get a job as designer/developer/etc without proven experience. In future we are heading towards everything decentralized then how this important field can remain behind. These are actually new startups and projects in every filed to take them to next generation level because old systems have stuck to their so-called successful strategies and will loose share from future's economy. I have one project in my portfolio, which price was about 0.37 cents at ICO and now its about 0.008. So , I think you have all the chances to return your investments and even get profit sooner or later.
