Title: [AUCTION] 2011 Brass Casascius Coin - Funded 1 BTC
Post by: Cvcb89 on December 07, 2017, 04:00:16 PM
Hi there,

Newbie here so appreciative of any feedback. Selling 1 2011 Casascius coin, funded (1 BTC). Asking 1.25BTC or best offer.

Would like to use one of your fine US-based escrow users as a middleman, holding funds & coin until all is verified (any recs between the users on the escrow thread would be welcome, thanks).

I understand you guys shy away if the coin isn't graded but 1) I do not feel great about sending the coin to ANACS via USPS 2) ANACS is flooded with requests and their site was even down for a couple of days so I have no idea how long grading would take.

Background: Got the coin in 2011 for fun and hid it away, forgetting about it. With the current bubble I dug it up so it hasn't been handled much. The hologram side is a tiny bit scratched up but otherwise in great shape.

How bout a couple photos outside the bag? Looking for things like scratches or big'ol thumb prints...

Asking price is fair for a 2011 S2

Man...I remember when .03 btc difference (1.18 to 1.21) wasn't that big a deal.  But now it's $500-$600.  The old ratios for buying these Casascius and any coins for that matter, are changing fast.  I offered 1.25 btc for a Cas just the other day.  Thank god the seller didn't accept.  That is way too much now.

Lol "that seller" here  :) At least I have an answer now.
Im confused at what kind of premium would even be worth it now?
Given that a 1BTC coin will be physically worth 1.1, I can't see 1.2 being a bad offer.

I’d say the fact that  BTC going to $13k a day ago and it hitting nearly 20k today has something to do with that  :D

A bit bothered by this interesting 2 PM / day limit... I guess I need to find a workaround, tips?

Will accept 1.2BTC excl. shipping (domestic) and escrow at buyer's expense. You know who you are :)
