First of all, some exchangers want you to confirm the transaction by an email they send. In other cases you just have to wait till the network do all the work. The time you have to wait depends in which coin you are using, time of the day, fees, and other things. But it shouldnt take more than an hour, when i do transactions it take between 5-30 minutes. Dont worry, just be patience, good luck.

Doesn't sound like it's been only 5-10 minutes that your transactions is still unconfirmed. And I don't think it's been 30 minutes either. May I ask how long it has been since your transaction is not confirmed? Anyway, I think it would all be good. You just need to have some patience. Good luck.

When you make a transaction it is added to the network queue. At that point miners have already taken transactions from the queue, added it to their block and started mining for a correct hash.  Once a hast has been found, the winning block propagated to the network, miners take the hash of the just completed block, add new transactions to their block and start mining again. Depending upon how backlogged the network is how long your transaction will be unconfirmed.

Waiting thirty minutes means that 3 blocks have passed between the time you pressed sent and the time that your transaction was added to the block of a successful miner.  There are roughly 2000 transaction per block so for you to wait 30 minutes means that there were at least 6000 transactions in the queue before your transaction was added.

It mean miners still not yet exploit the block which has your bitcoin transaction, so you can not send this amount to others. The time to get confirmation is from 10 minutes to fews day depend on the fees you payed when make this transaction.

Right bitcoin network is overstressed, sit tight as your transaction takes hours to get confirmed.

Transactions are at an all-time high but still 30 hours is a long, long time. You can go to https://blockchain.info/unconfirmed-transactions and get an idea of what's going on.

I have a transaction waiting for about 20 hours so far. It’s frustrating but I checked and there are currently over 200,000 unconfirmed transactions in the queue right now. Apparently the miners are very busy so if we pay just a regular fee, it’s going to take a while to confirm that transaction. Next time i’ll probably go ahead and pay a little extra to avoid the hassle. It makes you wonder if this is going to be a big problem for Bitcoin in the future.

What Does "Unconfirmed Transaction" Mean? I think waiting doesn't solve the problem...

It means that your transaction wasn't included in a block yet by the miners.

You can do nothing, keep waiting. Maybe you sent bitcoin with low fees so I think you will get back the amount you sent in next 24 hours. In the past, I got one time, and I have waited 3 days to got back my bitcoin.

The fee was priority at that time, but it is 60% less in the last 2 days and small looking now. Yes it would be great if i got the btc back in the next 24 hours. I will try re-sending then with huge transaction fee. How much on average would be recommended now, like 10% of the full transaction? looking that way

Thanks to core developers. Bitcoin cash can scale in terms of TXs but there is no activity.

You mean, it's possible to get back my BTC if it remains unconfirmed after 3days or what?
Pardon my ignorance.

Mine is over 48hrs and yet still showing unconfirmed.
Meanwhile I did a transaction in less than 24hrs and it's has confirmed on the same bitcoin blockchain

What Does "Unconfirmed Transaction" Mean? I think waiting doesn't solve the problem...

When I go through this problem I raise Gwei in another order, automatically canceling the last transaction.

Yes, if It still not confirms you will get back the amount you have sent ( in the past I have waited 5 days to get back). Don't worry about it and remember to choose high fees when you send bitcoin to get confirmation fastly in the next time.

My apologies for asking this question, i'm a newbie
How do i go about about raise another Gwei in another order?
Moreover, I thought Gwei (gas) is being used on ethereum blockchain while "transaction fees" (for the miners) is the word being used, when it comes to bitcoin on the blockchain.
As i said earlier, i'm just newbie willing to learn and to contribute to the community as am growing in the community.

It will be automatically canceling the transaction, you need to increase a fee or GWEI to sent another order
to get a fast transaction.

Unconfirmed transactions will take some time be processed or it might even get cancelled and then return back to the sender's address..depending on the services

their maybe a conflict on one or some information that the blockchain got from your transaction that's why it is not being qued on the blockchain system.

You can take a look at the mempool size, the miners will always take the transactions that give them the highest returns and leave the lowest fees for 'later'...

Unconfirmed transaction means that the transaction has not been included in a block and thus has not been completed. Most recipients require at least one confirmation to complete the transaction, including Wirex.

Common reasons for unconfirmed transactions are:

You have just made the transfer. The Bitcoin network needs at least 10 minutes, on average, to include the transaction in a block;
The blockchain fee is too low or absent. The lower the blockchain fee, the lower you transaction's priority in the Bitcoin network. Therefore, the longer the confirmation will take;
The Bitcoin network is overloaded. Due to its limited capacity, the network simply cannot process transactions fast enough, especially during high transaction periods.
If your transaction is unconfirmed, usually you just need to wait. Most transactions get completed within a day or two (or more if the blockchain is overloaded).
