Title: Ethereum transaction delay: how long?
Post by: oseikuf44 on December 08, 2017, 12:29:04 AM
ETH processing stopped due to high load on ETH network. Processing will resume when network load reduces. This is the message most exchanges are displaying. So how long will they clear backlog transactions. Will it be temporal or it will be happening here and there.

It is getting out of hand now. my transaction to kucoin yesterday is not cleared yet. It has been more than 20 hours and I am still waiting

Usually it is very fast, or if you have low gas fee then you have to wait a few minutes. But if you stucks at heavy ICO tokens transfer, then it might takes hours.

What is the cause of the delay in the transaction so that it takes a long time?
Does the price of gas affect it as well?

The best thing you can do is waiting and stop making ether transactions. No one knows how long it lasts. But that delay is a lesson for ether

The etherium network busy is caused by a game named cryptokitty, there is a lot of transactions on this network, I hope the etherium dev team including
the Vitalik can sovle this problem in the near future.

It's hilarious because scam defenders were crying that ETH solved the scalbility issues that Bitcoin suffered from a year or two ago.
The resident ETH shills (long gone i might add) would not shut the fuck up about it.
Where are they now ?

Know what is REALLY funny ?
I looked now and we are fast approaching 18,000 ANN topics.
I use to say around here as a joke we'd reach 10,000.
I looked a couple months back and it was just under 15,000.
Want to talk about "getting out of hand" ?  :D

The ultra funny part is the aping the block-chain concept because "it's the future" etc etc.
Yet ..the concept stolen from BTC ..is BROKEN !

It's like taking a failed invention that doesn't work and copying it 18,000 times with a gimmick / twist.
And labeling it as "innovation"

Know what is UBER funny ?
ETH was exposed as a scam when the ETH ICO launched in 2014 by yours truly ;)
Care ?
Fuck no !
ROI's..
Future..
One day..

..yeah one day your coins will show up  :D  ;D

It's a global problem and it's all over the Ethereum Network. Apparently due to the "Cats invasion" but not too sure if it's entirely the problem here  ;D  You can try adding more gas and gwei to transactions in order for a more successful rate in transactions.

Wait, but they told us ETH was the best, they said that butt-boy buterin could do no wrong, they said when he wrote the ETH code at 6 years of age that his IQ was 10x higher than Satoshi

Know today ... we're told? that kittens ate ETH??

What's mother to think?

If BUTT-BOY were not hosting scam-ico token's maybe ETH would work as advertised, ... oh never mind the future is in porn delivery by ETH :)

If for now it is ethereum experienced for transactions, so for now many people who have not been able to do transactions especially for newly joined in ethereum, and for how long in tundanya still can not be predicted, but for now ethereum little by little began to recover back.

The situation of ETH server is out of control. I transfer ETH from EtherDelta to MyEtherWallet, after two days Transaction is pending. Now buying or selling on EtherDelta is not possible. The situation will improve only upgrading hardware only. This is because of poor planning of Ethereum Management.

Thats really a bad thing you have said that bitcoin transaction was too much delay last month this ethereum network also affected in that issue. We will find gas price for the each transaction might be also increased.
I found that this delay happening because of crypto kitties. You will get this issue solved in some days. Even many online wallet provider site also given information in their site itself about the delay.

The current number of pending transaction on ethereum block chain is 18K but it was about 25K few days back so it means the problem getting resolving slowly so we can expect the problem will be resolved in few more weeks.
If you want to send your ethereum immediately then try with more gas value it will put you transaction in the priority list but I can see even high gas priced transactions also pending at the chart so it is better to not do any ethereum transactions for couple of days.

The price is growing = demand is growing.
There is a clogging of the system with unconfirmed transactions.
But already like the system came to its senses after cryptotics.
Recently went to blockchain.info and there hung more than 100k of unconfirmed transactions.
We can only wait and see what happens next 8)
We are waiting for the use of ethereum to bitcoin ;D ;D ;D

Title: Re: Ethereum transaction delay: how long?

Ethereum transactions are taking longer than usual to get confirmed, and this is because of CryptoKitties, a video game similar to Pokemon card but based on the blockchain. It'll be all right soon.

Because of the CryptoKittes, the price of gas is increased, now the commissions with a low gas price go VERY LONG, you can check the gas price at the ethgasstation (safe low, cost for transfer and etc.)

still this congestion caused by crypto kitties have no effect on the price of ethereum. sooner or later people will understand that these digital kitties was not worth spending 250$  bucks and then everything will be back on its track

Title: Re: Ethereum transaction delay: how long?

maybe because of CryptoKittes change ethereum fee to higher fee and this is what we know with bitcoin price too if we want to make a transaction. but I don't know how long the transaction that ethereum needed to get confirmed and I see many people are waiting too long now. I hope that soon the fee will be normal again so we can send ethereum without waiting too long to get confirmed.

Can someone explain to me why this transaction is stuck?

This was transaction from Bitstamp to Cryptopia wallet. I transfered 2x 0.9 ETH, second was from Poloniex, Poloniex tx arrived after 2- minutes but Bitstamp is still 0 value but there is like confirmed.

The status of this transaction "Success". Sometimes even with high gvei, transactions can go on for a long time. In such cases, you just have to wait.

It really depend of the network load and the fees you are paying for transactions, lower fees - longer transactions, so i advice to pay a bit more in fees so you can move your ETH faster

App based on the Etereum blockchain is slowing the progress of the transactions. The apps name is the crypto kitties and it is very annoying for the big percent of the traders which ain't interested in the gains through this app. There are also some other factors that are including the network capability of processing the transaction. Developers are working hard in improving the current state of the blockchain. There are still many things that Ethereum lacks off but in 2018 thing will change towards better. Ethereum price has jumped very high in comparison to the last year and that wouldnt be possible if the investors would not support this great coin with the powerfull capabilities of improvement.

It is because there is a high load at this time on Ethereum network as many new coins are also launching on ETH network so it's building up more load and I am sure they are working on that and I am hoping they will solve this problem soon it is happening because ETH is growing day by day and the amount of transactions is also increasing that is why burden is there but I am sure it will be solved soon.

I think the transaction of ethereum is not take too long as long as you use the proper gas or if you withdraw from the exchange, you need to use the fee that apply in that exchanges. usually, it does not need more than 1 minute but if the network have many transaction is in queue then your transaction need to wait for a while. if everything goes right, then you can see that your transaction is getting confirmed in a second and it is better to wait for a while until the transaction get confirmed.

It depends on how much gas did you spent,or if the network is too congested there will be longer time for you to receive it.

ETH processing stopped due to high load on ETH network. Processing will resume when network load reduces. This is the message most exchanges are displaying. So how long will they clear backlog transactions. Will it be temporal or it will be happening here and there.
Everyday, more transaction with a higher fee than the older transaction keep adding on the top of the whole network. This is getting bloat each day.

usually happens because we set the gas price gwei low. so I think it should add gas price gwei so the transaction can run fast and not delay.

This doesn't make sense to see how many you guys still saying ethereum is still slow right now.  :D there are so many people don't even try to get the fact through the reliable site of ethereum just like etherscan.
There's only 1,5k transaction pending and that means if the network is very smooth right now. https://etherscan.io/txsPending  ::)

That's because you're using the right gas and gwei price or at least in convenient with the https://ethgasstation.info reference

Set the gas and gwei of your transaction into a standard or higher value. It will give a chance to your transaction will be completed more faster.
Before i do on transaction, sometimes i check ethgasstationinfo to get morr information about eth traffic and gas valur for transaction

transfer rates from ethereum or token platforms ethereum usually depend on the amount of gas or fee or gwei value we set. for faster transfer process, try set gwei bigger again, usually i set gwei at 21.

I think when I am sending my ethereum to another exchange, it's no need to wait too long and its finish in less than 30 minutes but it will depend on what is happening in the ethereum network. besides that, you need to use the normal fee to send from one exchanges to other exchanges. but I don't know how much to send from myetherwallet because we need to use a gas to make the transaction and if you use recommended gas then I think you don't have any problem.
